DJ/production duo Justice are back with a new song, “Saturnine,” featuring guest vocals from R&b singer Miguel. The track will appear on the French group’s new album, Hyperdrama, out April 26 via Ed Banger/Because Music.
Though led by some blazing, bright synth work and Miguel’s unmistakable falsetto, “Saturnine” takes some moody turns befitting its title. In a statement, Justice said, “We don’t think we’ve ever made anything that sounds remotely like this track before.”

Justice are back with “Saturnine,” a new collaboration with Miguel that also serves as the latest preview of the French duo’s forthcoming album Hyperdrama. They’ve also revealed the album’s full tracklist as well as several new tour dates.
“Saturnine” combines a throbbing bassline with glitchy synths and Miguel’s smooth, falsetto-laden vocals. The duo strips the song of its power during the verses, keeping the instrumental more muted and minimal as Miguel croons intimately, landing on the confident claim “I’m exactly where I want to be.” “Saturnine” concludes with some bustling slap-bass and whirring synths, giving the song an otherworldly hue.
Due out on April 26th via Ed Banger/Because Music, Hyperdrama also promises collaborations with Thundercat, Tame Impala, Connan Mockasin, The Flints, and Rimon. The duo previously previewed the LP in January with the Tame Impala-featuring “One Night/All Night,” “Generator,” and “Incognito.”

After returning this past January with the announcement of their first new album in eight years, Justice are back again with a new single, “Incognito.”
The latest preview of the band’s upcoming fourth studio album, Hyperdrama, “Incognito” is a dancey, inventive track, primarily featuring grooving instrumentals colored by glistening synths and tight beats. Spanning four minutes, the track demonstrates the French duo’s new approach to their signature sound.
“Like many songs on this record, it switches from all electronic to all human music abruptly, multiple times within its four minute run,” the duo said in a statement. “The structure is dictated by what feels good at the moment it happens, without necessarily following any other rule. We had to unlearn everything we thought we knew about song structures, and music in general, when we started working on Hyperdrama, which was very refreshing.”

Thomas Bangalter, one half of Daft Punk, contributed the score to Quentin Dupieux (Mr. Ozi)’s latest comedy film, Daaaaaalí! Now, he has announced the soundtrack’s official release on February 7th via Ed Banger.
Daaaaaalí!, which premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival, features a variety of French actors all playing the surrealist painter Salvador Dalí. It will receive a theatrical release in France on February 7th.
Due to their respective efforts in the French electronic scene of the late ’90s, Bangalter and Dupieux have been longtime friends; Bangalter previously cameoed (sans his usual Daft Punk mask) in Dupieux’s 2014 film Reality.
Bangalter released Mythologies, his first album post-Daft Punk, in 2023. During an appearance on BBC’s The First Time with Matt Everett podcast last year, the artist said he was “relieved” that the Daft Punk era was over and expanded on the duo’s 2021 breakup.

PinkPantheress is talking about the time she produced a beat for a friend and tried to make it “as Kaytranada-inspired as possible.” It’s a sweet story, especially since the person she’s telling it to is Kaytranada himself.
“I want to hear it, I want to see how it turned out,” he responds.
PinkPantheress quickly shuts down the idea: “It’s fucking terrible.” Then they both break into laughter.
The two artists teamed up for the first time recently for a new track, due in November. This collaboration is fitting,...

Pedro Winter managed Daft Punk as they became international dancefloor stars in the late Nineties and early 2000s. But when he started his own label, Ed Banger Records, in 2003, it was as if his resume had been erased. “If I called someone on behalf of Daft Punk, then people were opening doors right away,” he remembers. “But when I was calling for Ed Banger, no one would even return my call.”
In the years since, Ed Banger built a reputation of its own, often with brash hip-hop leaning hits — Uffie’s “Pop the Glock,...

French dance act Justice have denied rumours that they are producing the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album. The duo's label Ed Banger admitted that Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis is a fan, but insisted that no plans are in a place for a collaboration. Rumours circulated about the two acts working together after Kiedis sported a Justice T-shirt while at a basketball match with P Diddy. Ed Banger boss (more)...
