Ironically, the shorter the fight due to a knockout, the greater the value for ticket money when it comes to Ufc knockouts.
It’s pretty amazing to watch a fight conclude after a few short seconds.
The Ultimate Fighting Championships have seen some of the ugliest and fastest knockouts. While some are slow and painful to watch, others have been swift and devastating, so sudden that the match only lasts a few minutes.
For most spectators, the faster a knockout happens, the more thrilling the match is. Ufc events happen every so often, so the record for the fastest knockout is hardly held for long.
Fighters get to redeem themselves when they lose in the shortest bouts while the winners set new records.
The fastest knockouts have not been consistently happening each year. Some date back almost seven years ago. Here’s a list of some of the greatest knockouts in the history of Ufc.

Every month I’ll be wading through the huge Mixed Martial Arts World and picking out the fights you simply cannot afford to miss. With the Ultimate Fighting Championship off the radar until the 22nd September there is some rare breathing space and an opportunity to check out the pretenders to their promotional throne. That’s not to say that the World’s number one promotion won’t be stealing the show before the month is out.
1. Che Mills Vs Duane Ludwig – Ufc on Fuel TV 5, 29th September 2012
The Ufc’s sole visit to the UK in 2012 might be lacking in star power but the card is absolutely jam-packed with hot British talent and fantastic match-ups. The preliminary bout between Gloucester’s own Che Mills and Duane “Bang” Ludwig really emphasises that point. Neither fighter is going to be headlining a Pay-Per-View any time soon but both are capable of...

Redemption, thy name is Shogun
The main event at Ufc 113 featured a highly anticipated rematch between light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
While many believed that Shogun won the first meeting, Machida was still the odds-on favorite as most observers thought the Karateka's style was still too difficult to solve for Rua a second time.
But on Saturday night, Shogun proved that he had not only learned how to solve the “Machida Rubik’s Cube” but how to do it like a whiz kid. Rua pressured and assaulted Lyoto building on his previous use of leg kicks with an an overhand attack where Rua commented that he noticed a weak spot in Machida’s armor. After three minutes, Shogun landed the right hand dropping Machida and Rua finished “The Dragon” off on the ground.
Thus the much heralded “Machida Era” (this writer was definitely a member of that course) ends,...
