Joe Scarborough ripped President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning, bluntly declaring that he and his administration were the most corrupt the republic had ever seen in modern times.
The moment came after Scarborough rattled off a lengthy list of Trump ethics scandals since he took office in 2017.
“Of course the list could go on and on and on,” said Scarborough. “This is the most corrupt administration in modern history.”

Among the scandals that Scarborough listed were Secret Service hotel bills at Mar-a-Lago and Trump doubling his resort’s initiation fee after he became president, the time Kellyanne Conway hawked Ivanka Trump products on live television from the White House lawn and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross’ suspicious decision to hold on to stocks linked to Russian companies which he previously said he divested from.

President Trump is mulling the idea of revoking former CIA Director John Brennan’s security clearance, and might extend the slap to other former intel honchoes he feels have “politicized and in some cases actually monetized their public service security clearances” to make “baseless accusations” against the president, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters at today’s press briefing.
Sen. Rand Paul kicked off this blacklist effort today when he charged Brennan with “monetizing” his security clearance and calling for Potus to jettison him from the security clearance list.
“Not only is the president looking to take away Brennan’s security clearance; he’s also looking into the clearances of Comey, Clapper, Hayden, Rice and McCabe,” Sanders said, lobbing that grenade after being asked only about Brennan.

Last night’s Real Time with Bill Maher with Roger Stone, Neera Tanden, Gen. Michael Hayden, Rick Santorum, and Jose Antonio Vargas did not disappoint. The heady episode had the panelists cover the past war sins of the neocons, the shortcomings of the Democrats, the lunacy of Trump’s administration and the milestone of Maher’s 420th show. Bill Maher’s top-of-show interview with Trump associate Roger Stone, who he dubbed the president’s “albino assassin”, included intense questioning over the Russian hacker Guccifer 2.0 and Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 election. The show proceeded in panel and hashed over how awful Trump’s first 100...read more...

Retired Gen. Michael Hayden, the former director of the National Security Agency, appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Friday where he said that President Barack Obama’s proposed reforms to the agency’s domestic intelligence gathering techniques would not be as far-reaching as some would like. He said that the president would attempt to pacify his Democratic supporters upset with the program without significantly altering the program.

Wme is wrapping up its third day of its annual retreat at La Costa Resort & Spa and the roster of speakers the agency has put together is looking more and more each year like a mini-Herb Allen Sun Valley Conference. The mini, however, is major with 450 Wme agents gathered to listen to such prominent names as former CIA director and four-star Gen. Michael Hayden who once headed the National Security Administration and returned again this year. He headlines a roster that includes former and current Google and Facebook executives and even more political heavies. Also, one of the highlights, agents say, was Anne Wojciciki, one of the co-founders of 23andMe, a biotech and genomics company which Google invested heavily into (along with Genetech). It produces direct-to-consumer personal genome test kits that can determine inherited traits and genetic risk factors. Another speaker said to have one of the strongest presentations was Regina Dugan,...

Alex Gibney has directed some of the best political documentaries of recent years including the Oscar-winning Taxi to the Dark Side, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room and, most recently, the devastating exposé of sexual predators in the Catholic church, Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God. In We Steal Secrets he is at his forensic best in fairly and lucidly telling the story of how the infinitely devious Julian Assange became the world's most famous whistleblower through his revelation on WikiLeaks of American state secrets, and of how one of his most significant sources, Pfc Bradley Manning, a lonely, idealistic, cross-dressing military intelligence analyst, had his identity revealed to the CIA by the young bisexual, possibly autistic hacker Adrian Lamo.
Drawing on the testimony of more than 20 witnesses (though not Assange, who fell out with everyone, Gibney included), the film creates an astonishing picture of the...
