Perry Farrell and his Kind Heaven Orchestra shared their new song “Machine Girl,” the latest track off the new project’s upcoming LP Kind Heaven. The soaring electro rocker features vocals by the singer’s wife Etty Lau Farrell and “tells the story of a modern day love affair.” Farrell previously unveiled “Pirate Punk Politician” from Kind Heaven, which marks the Jane’s Addiction singer’s first solo album since 2001’s Song Yet to Be Sung.

Perry Farrell will debut a new solo band, the Kind Heaven Orchestra, at a Los Angeles gig later this month. He’s named the ensemble after his upcoming album, Kind Heaven, which is due out in 2019 and will be the singer’s first solo material in 18 years.

Australian musicians including Missy Higgins and Jimmy Barnes have launched a campaign to help people who have hit hard times. A series of online adverts will be published on YouTube this week to raise awareness of Support Act, a charity that aims to help artists who have medical or financial problems.
