Fairly early in “Killerman,” , writer-director Malik Bader (“Cash Only”) more or less announces that he’s seen every gritty ‘70s crime drama that you have, and maybe a few that you missed, and he’s intent on distilling the down-and-dirty essence of those blasts from the past in a derivative yet dynamic mashup. In other words, he gives you fair warning, and he’s true to his word.
Liam Hemsworth stars as the aptly named Moe Diamond, a dark prince of New York’s diamond district, a smooth operator who, within the space of an hour or two on a typical afternoon, can translate huge quantities of a client’s illicit cash into expensive commodities, and then into a fistful of cashier’s checks. When we first see Moe, he and good buddy Bobby “Skunk” Santos (Emory Cohen) are poised to score a cool million each by discreetly moving money...

Making its world premiere at Fantasia is Malik Bader's new feature Killerman.
The action-thriller stars Liam Hemsworth as Moe and Emory Cohen as Skunk, a pair of money launderers. While trying to outrun the cops, Moe has an accident and wakes up with no memory of why he has a bag of cash and drugs. He soon discovers that the goods were stolen from a crew of dirty cops who are now chasing down the pair to recover their loot.
In addition to Hemsworth (of The Hunger Games fame) and Choen (Brooklyn), the movie also stars Diane Guerrero, Nickola Shreli, Suraj Sharma, Mike Moh, and Zlatko Buric.

When last we heard from Cash Only's Nickola Shreli, he and director Malik Bader were preparing to give Liam Hemsworth a hard time in Bader's upcoming thriller Killerman. And while we fans of his cult favorite Cash Only would like to see Shreli back in the writer's chair whipping up another good script we are pleased hes filling the time with more roles. This time, flipping the moral coin to play a good guy, Shreli has joined the cast in a supporting role to Aaron Eckhart and Courtney Eaton in director Steven C. Miller’s real time thriller Live. The script, by Jeremy Drysdale, tells of a disgraced cop (Eckhart) who is racing against time to find the police commissioner’s kidnapped daughter after killing...

Good news comes our way this morning that Cash Only's Nickola Shreli and Malik Bader are getting together again for a new thriller called Killerman. Bader is directing his own script and Shreli has joined the cast, chasing after Liam Hemsworth, of the Brothers Hemsworth. Hemsworth signed on to the project in the Spring. Production begins this week in Savannah, Ga. The story centers on small-time money launderer Moe Diamond (Hemsworth), who is suffering from amnesia after a freak accident during a deal gone wrong. Plus, he's got vicious gangsters hot on his tail and dirty cops not far behind. Cash Only made a big splash on the festival circuit back in 2015. It made an immediate impression on our own Kurt Halfyard...

An arson insurance scam attempt gone tragically wrong leaves low-rent criminal Elvis Martini (Nickola Shreli) with little to hold onto besides his young daughter Lena (Ava Simony) in Cash Only. Unfortunately, he also has little to provide her despite two years having passed since the incident. Money woes mount as Albanian bookies who’ve given him the benefit of the doubt for too long seek what’s owed and the bank threatens to foreclose on his five-unit apartment complex—his only means of income (when his tenants pay). He and Lena have four weeks to procure funds before they’re on the streets so the drive to squeeze his squatters for rent intensifies until Elvis’ surveillance cameras expose how one resident is stashing more than enough cash to ease his struggle for good.

The network that brought you ‘Breaking Bad,’ ‘Mad Men’ and ‘The Walking Dead’ launched its first new series in two years earlier this month, ‘Low Winter Sun.’ HollywoodLife.com spoke exclusively to Nickola Shreli, one of the stars of the gritty new crime drama.
Low Winter Sun is being compared to The Wire and we can see why! The hour-long drama, set in Detroit’s seedy underbelly, follows the exploits of dirty cops and criminals. Nickola Shreli, who HollywoodLifers will recognize from Taylor Lautner‘s Abduction, plays one of those bad guys — though “bad guy” might not be the best thing to call him.

I play Gus, a first-generation Detroit ethnic fella who’s a loyal part of Damon’s (James Ransone) crew in their bid to rise for power. [He's] a bartender/enforcer/all around nice-handy fella.

Hostel 3 Trailer. Scott Spiegel‘s Hostel: Part III (2011) movie trailer, produced by Eli Roth, stars Thomas Kretschmann, Kip Pardue, John Hensley, Sarah Habel, and Barry Livingston. Hostel: Part 3‘s plot synopsis: “High stakes gambling takes on a sinister new meaning in this third chapter of the terrifying Hostel series. While attending a bachelor party in Las Vegas, four friends are enticed by two sexy escorts to join them at a private party way off the Strip. Once there, they are horrified to find themselves the subjects of a perverse game of torture, where members of the Elite Hunting Club are hosting the most sadistic show in town.”
The first Hostel was good but I wish the original, more brutal ending had not been excised from the film. The second and third acts of Hostel: Part II were a disappointment but I liked what Eli Roth tried to do with the film.

John Singleton’s latest movie “Abduction”, an action thriller about a teenager who fights shady people with guns, stars Taylor Lautner. And in case you missed that very important point, the first poster for “Abduction” is here to remind you. Consider yourself reminded. What would you do if you found your own picture on a missing persons website? Teen Nathan Harper (Lautner) finds himself facing this very dilemma. Setting out to uncover his real identity, Nathan quickly learns his parents are far from who they say they are. When the police, government agents and shadowy figures start to pursue him, Nathan’s quest for the truth erupts into a full-blown “Bourne”-like man-on-the-run thriller. Lautner stars with Taylor Lautner, Lily Collins, Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello, Michael Nyqvist, Sigourney Weaver, Antonique Smith, Denzel Whitaker, Nickola Shreli, Allen Williamson, and William Peltz. Running September 23, 2011. Get more images and videos in our “Abduction” preview page.

The Abduction Movie Trailer has premiered. John Singleton‘s Abduction (2011) stars Taylor Lautner, Lily Collins, Alfred Molina, Sigourney Weaver, and Jason Isaacs. Abduction‘s plot synopsis: “A thriller centered on a young man named Nathan Harper (Taylor Lautner) who sets out to uncover the truth about his life after finding his baby photo on a missing persons website.” They sure did give away many of the plot points in the first movie trailer for Abduction. They showed key people dying in this first trailer for Abduction but they certainly didn’t go down without a fight. I really hope they explain how all of those “skills” suddenly turn on in Nathan. Seems a little strange. In the Bourne Identity its explained. Let’s hope they do the same in Abduction and that Nathan doesn’t have amnesia. That would be lame if this film turns out to be Jason Bourne in high school.

MTV‘s got a new look at “Twilight” guy Taylor Lautner’s upcoming chase thriller “Abduction”, which co-stars the suddenly redhot Lily Collins, who is currently up for every role in Hollywood that requires a pretty female lead. The former music network will also be premiering the first ever trailer or “Abduction” next week. John Singleton directs the film, which finds Lautner running away from shady Government types determined to stop him from uncovering the truth about his past. It’s like a Bourne movie, if Bourne was really obsessed with showing off his abs. Also starring Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello, Michael Nyqvist, Sigourney Weaver, Antonique Smith, Denzel Whitaker, Nickola Shreli, Allen Williamson, William Peltz, and running into theaters September 23, 2011.
