When you book Johnny Knoxville for a one-on-one, it's a safe bet to expect the unexpected. With our bet firmly placed, the "Jackass" star delivered just that during our chat with him at SXSW earlier this year. Knoxville's been to the festival before, but never for a film (he previously attended to support his cousin, musician Roger Alan Wade). For his inaugural official year at the event, Knoxville has two films: "Nature Calls" from director/writer Todd Rohal ("The Cataclysm Catechism") and Jonas Akerlund's star-studded ensemble drama, "Small Apartments." In "Nature Calls," Knoxville plays brother to Randy Stevens (Patton Oswalt), a Scoutmaster who essentially kidnaps Knoxville's kid for a weekend scout trip. "Small Aparments" finds Knoxville in dramatic mode, sporting a black shaggy wig as a pot-smoking loon, oblivious to the fact that his neighbor ("Little Britain" star Matt Lucas) is...

A video tribute played at the memorial for late Jackass star Ryan Dunn has been released online. Dunn was killed after the car he was driving crashed in West Goshen Township, Pa in the early hours of June 20. His passenger and close friend Zachary Hartwell also died in the accident. A message posted alongside the video on the Dickhouse Entertainment website reads: "This video tribute to Ryan Dunn was featured at the memorial gathering that took place at Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles on the night of Wednesday, June 29. "The second part of this montage cut together by Rick Kosick includes a specially done song for Ryan by Roger Alan Wade, 'The Light Outlives the Star'. "Rest in peace, brother. We love you." Jackass star Johnny Knoxville said: "Ryan was really crazy about my cousin Roger. He loved his music and really (more)...

A video tribute in honor of Ryan Dunn's memory has found its way out. The production team behind "Jackass" has given fans a chance to see the five-and-a-half minute montage shown at the late daredevil's memorial service by posting it online. Filled with some of Ryan's most hilarious stunts, it is not necessarily safe for work due to some strong language.
Opened with a dedication to "our brother", the montage cuts to a scene where Ryan being knocked to the ground by a giant hand. Snippets of the 34-year-old rolling off a roof in a large bucket, swimming in excrement, getting kick-boxed by a female boxer and many more then take over. It ends with Ryan laughing hysterically while the words "We love you Ryan" appear beneath.
The montage, which second half was cut together by "Jackass" star Rick Kosick, includes "The Light Outlives the Star", a song for Ryan by Roger Alan Wade.

‘Seriously, if you find out that I died tomorrow, I’m fine. Do not be sad for me, ’cause I’m not sad. I died with a smile on my face.’ — Ryan Dunn
This quote from Ryan Dunn was recalled by friend and Jackass producer Knate Gwaltney in his blog entry about the late Jackass star days following his death. The blog also features entries from friends like Jackass co-stars Johnny Knoxville and Steve-o as a way to remember happier times with their late pal. Following the tragic death of "Jackass" cast member Ryan Dunn, co-star and best friend Bam Margera gave two tearful interviews about his fallen buddy, first at the site of the crash and then following the funeral. Likewise, Johnny Knoxville gave his own moving tribute, a broken up eulogy that he later posted online for the public to read.
In both those cases, though, the words were ones of grief, of remembering a lifelong partner and regretting so terribly his loss. As it turns out, though, Dunn's memorial service was also a celebration of his life and, appropriately, his life's work: his "Jackass" stunts.
In this video, Dunn's high risk, high hilarity highlights are weaved together into a montage that puts into focus just how daring and, dare we say innovative, he was as a performer. Dunn was always willing to do the craziest stunts, from shooting out of a high...

"Ryan was really crazy about my cousin Roger," Johnny Knoxville said in a statement to MTV News. "He loved his music and really looked up to him. Rog' was equally as crazy about Ryan and, like everyone else, was shook by his passing. Rest in peace, brother. We love you."

The memorial service for Ryan Dunn last Wednesday was such an emotional event that his "Jackass" co-star Johnny Knoxville could barely get out the words to pay tribute to his friend and fellow daredevil, who died in a high-speed car crash last Monday.
"I walked to the podium and tried to share memories of my dear friend, but the words were just spinning in my head," wrote Knoxville in an emotional, touching blog post on the website of "Jackass" production company Dickhouse. "What came out were the mumblings of a man trying his best not to cry, and I wasn't even successful at that. I didn't break down, because...

The Jackass 3D soundtrack. The hapless propensity of Star Trek’s the Borg to be repeatedly thwarted in their nefarious schemes by a gaggle of middle-aged men dressed in various shades of long john may have made a mockery of their frequent proclamations of “Resistance is futile,” but there is one tribe for whom that catchphrase is not a hollow cry. Yes, while you can coldly intellectualise the Jackass gang and their boneheaded, bone-breaking antics from afar, you can sneer at how base it all is, turn your well-read, highfalutin nose up at Johnny Knoxville and his disciples, the fact is that when you watch a man sat on a portaloo being fired skywards on a bungee rocket, as happens in the trailer for Jackass 3D, there is no way to stop the laughter. Literally no way. You’d have more chance of wearing a moustache and no shirt combo...

Weezer already took the "Jackass" guys down "Memories" Lane, but now Karen O has the cast moving forward with some good advice. "If You're Gonna Be Dumb, You Gotta Be Tough" was penned by frequent "Jackass" troubadour (and Johnny Knoxville's cousin) Roger Alan Wade, but it's the Yeah Yeah Yeah's frontwoman that put the final touches on it for the "Jackass 3-D" soundtrack. The boys manage to chime in too, though it's unclear if its them or other shenanigans that cause her to crack-up singing mid-song. Maybe it's the funny accent that does her in. If you'll remember, Ms. O also...

Satirical country singer/songwriter Roger Alan Wade's music has been featured in the previous two Jackass films, both because his songs kind of fit with the rough-and-tumble style of the two movies and because Johnny Knoxville is his cousin, and well, you stick with your family when they're that talented. For Jackass 3D Knoxville is keeping his cousin involved, but has brought in a voice you might not expect to cover Wade's most apt song. Karen O, frontwoman for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and indie darling, has covered "If You're Gonna Be Dumb, You Gotta Be Tough" for the movie's soundtrack, and you can listen to the track below. It's seriously delightful, especially with the memory of Karen O's haunting, nostalgic work for the Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack still fresh. The connection here, believe it or not, is Spike Jonze, who has produced all three movies and...

When I found out the "Jackass 3D" soundtrack was not in 3D, I was like wtf? But that's all right, with the staggering amount of drugs and alcohol consumed by some of the bands Epitaph dug up here, there are sure to be some special effects just by association.
Old punk and metal acts like Boston's Gang Green, Twisted Sister, London's Cock Sparrer along with the Smut Peddlers -- who were featured on both previous "Jackass" films -- dominate the vibe of the soundtrack. But there's some weird gems like 70's folk hit "Brand New Key" by Melanie (below) and The Blaster's "I'm Shakin'."
