Ariana Madix is heading to Fiji.
The Vanderpump Rules star, whose fame skyrocketed after her boyfriend Tom Sandoval cheated on her with one of her friends from the Bravo show, is to host Season 6 of Love Island for Peacock.
She replaces Modern Family star Sarah Hyland, who hosted two seasons of the dating show.
Hyland joined the dating competition for Season 4 when the show moved to Peacock from CBS. Arielle Vandenberg hosted the show since the format was adapted to the U.S. back in 2019 and remained at the helm for the first three seasons.
Love Island will return this summer. It is one of a number of iterations of the format, which began on British broadcaster ITV2. Peacock also recently aired Love Island: All Stars and has spinoff Love Island Games as well as seasons of Love Island South Africa and Love Island Spain.

Peacock has renewed Love Island USA for two additional seasons.
The show — which the streamer says is its No. 1 original reality series — follows a group of singles searching for love in a villa, but throughout their stay in a tropical oasis, Islanders face challenges, surprises, “bombshells” and more twists and turns.
Following the finale of Love Island USA‘s season five, which aired this past summer, the show’s executive producer Simon Thomas told The Hollywood Reporter that the goal is for the Islanders and the audience to “feel like the best summer vacation of all time” with “a little bit of drama along the way.”
When asked what he’d learned from season five that he would possibly change for future seasons, Thomas said at the time, “I would imagine that there will be things next year that you will see, which will surprise you, much like there were this year,...

“Love Island: All Stars,” a spinoff of ITV’s “Love Island” format, has been confirmed by the U.K. broadcaster’s chiefs.
“Love Island” is a British dating game show format that has been on U.K. broadcaster ITV since 2015. The spinoff will see participants from previous seasons venture back into the South African villa where it is set for a second chance at finding love. “Love Island: All Stars” will bow in the new year. It is produced by Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, and GroupM Motion Entertainment.
The show’s peak years were from 2017 to 2019, when each episode would pull some 3.5 million viewers. However, the most recent iteration saw linear ratings plummet. It made a recovery with the finale, which was the most watched program for 16-34s on any channel and the series garnered 1.4 billion video views across all platforms. It amassed some 300 million streams on Itvx.

Love Island executive producer Mike Spencer has revealed that banning contestants from using social media during filming helped protect families from reading “distressing” abuse.
Lifted Entertainment, the ITV Studios production outfit behind Love Island, asked all islanders this year to pause their use of Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms during their time in the villa.
During previous seasons of the dating show, families, friends or other representatives were able to post updates on behalf of contestants throughout filming to drum up support or build their brand.
“If I was a parent, I would probably go through the direct messages while they are in there, have a little scan through what they’re saying,” Spencer told an Edinburgh TV Festival session on dating shows. “There were some really stressful situations for parents.”

Exclusive: ITV’s popular reality TV game show Love Island is in the spotlight once again. The polarizing dating program, back on UK screens for an eighth season, remains appointment viewing for its many fans. For others, the format still raises concerns.
This eight-week season began with a bang and interest has remained strong. The launch episode in early June hit 5 million views, making it the franchise’s biggest premiere since 2019.
Last week’s dramatic Casa Amor recoupling achieved the show’s highest overnight audience since the 2019 Love Island final. Almost 4 million tuned in real-time across all devices, including a TV audience of 3 million which was up on the equivalent episode last year by 800,000. Social media has been abuzz each night with memes and quips relating to the show.
Season 8 has included the perennial bust ups and love-ins, outsized characters and social media ‘villains’, hilarious and cringe moments. But this...

There’s a new bombshell entering the villa.
Sarah Hyland, one of the stars of ABC’s long-running sitcom Modern Family, has signed on to host Peacock’s new take on Love Island USA.
Hyland replaces Arielle Vandenberg, who hosted the first three seasons on CBS.
It comes after Peacock handed the show, which is based on the breakout ITV2 format, a two season, 80-episode order.
She will be joined by British comedian Iain Stirling as narrator. Stirling voices the British series with a cutting charm.
It is the latest non-scripted hosting gig for Hyland, who fronts Play-Doh Squished for Amazon’s Freevee. Hyland is also set to star in Peacock’s Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin.
Peacock’s new take on the dating series, which sees a group of singletons mix it up as they look for love, will launch on July 19 with six episode drops per week. This...

“Love Island” is set to return for both a winter and summer edition in 2023, ITV has confirmed.
The show, which is made by ITV and Lifted Entertainment (part of ITV Studios) is a cash cow for the broadcaster, with the highly coveted 16-34 year old demographic tuning in nightly on ITV2 for the eighth season (pictured above) this year.
A winter edition will air in the new year, with a fresh batch of contestants flying out to South Africa for some fun in the sun. It will be followed by the traditional summer edition in Mallorca approximately four months later.
The series, which re-launched in its current iteration in 2015, has been streamed 74 million times on ITVs online platforms and has minted numerous new celebrities, weddings and even babies.
Tragically the show has also been linked with three deaths, with two former contestants and former host Caroline Flack dying by suicide.

There has been some confusion coiling under the Star Wars fanbase of late – and we’re not referring to the allegations that Lucasfilm has pumped the brakes on all future standalone movies until further notice. Allegations which the company outright denied, for the record.
Instead, we draw your attention to The Last Jedi and, specifically, the duel involving Luke Skywalker and a visibly distressed Rey. Disgruntled by her teacher’s stubborn attitude, here we see Daisy Ridley’s would-be Jedi fast approaching the end of her tether. And so, she lashes out at Mark Hamill’s hermit, demanding the truth about his self-imposed exile and why she feels a strange, unnatural draw towards the dark side of the Force.
Set against a darkened sky illuminated only by sheets of lightning, it’s a pretty incredible scene, but there are those fans who balked at the idea that Rey, a Jakku...
