In the finale of Hulu’s “Pam & Tommy,” based on the vastly different experiences of Pamela Anderson Lee and Tommy Lee during their sex tape scandal, Lee’s group Mötley Crüe performs a promotional gig in a Tower Records parking lot, pinned to their “Generation Swine” album. The song they perform is “Crüe-by-numbers,” even if you can’t quite place it. A Shazam tap reveals the song is actually “She Says Yeah Yeah,” and the singers are Sebastian Stan (who plays Lee), Sam Meader and Zack Gold, not Mötley Crüe.
In fact, there aren’t any Mötley Crüe songs in the series, partly due to financial constraints, according to Amanda Krieg Thomas, the show’s music supervisor. Mainly, however, she notes that it never felt like there was a need for one — with the exception of the one scene.

A lot of movies begin with an overhead show of a car driving down a long deserted road. Ominous, sure, but something we’ve seen many many times before. That is, though, perhaps where the “same old” ends with Held.
Held, directed by Travis Cluff and Chris Lofing (The Gallows), and penned by Jill Awbrey, is a mystery horror film about a couple who are going through strains in their marriage and head off for an anniversary getaway for their ninth year, when things become even more difficult for the two of them after they are held hostage in the hi-tech and modern vacation house and given commends by an unseen voice over the intercom system. The commands begin tame and somewhat calm, but grow and turn more extreme and disturbing.

I do love Frightfest, and in the midst of many of their festivals I’ve discovered a bunch of movies I’ve enjoyed. More than a century later, the old structure is renovated into a beautiful mansion. It is still rumored to inhabit the ghost of Alice. Despite this, the new owner; the rich and arrogant heir to the Davenport fortune, decides to throw a wild party for his first night in the house.

The glorious centerpiece of 1982's Fitzcarraldo, in which Klaus Kinski's lunatic outsider undertakes his passion project of bringing opera to the people of Iquitos, Peru, by having a ocean liner pulled over a mountain, was an iconic feat for both the film's bigger-than-life hero and director Werner Herzog.
By extreme contrast, self-taught Kurdish-American filmmaker Jano Rosebiani's mostly English-language drama — tracking an incomprehensible quest to project washed-out Charlie Chaplin shorts in the remote villages of northern Iraq — is deadened by milquetoast characters, uninspired landscape photography, and no perceptible stakes.

In a previous life I think I was a fluff girl so I’m kind of sensitive about behind the scenes porno shows. While most of you were laughing it up watching Trey Parker shave his balls in Orgazmo I was strapped into a 94-minute emotional roller coaster ride of painful memories. So what can be expected from Blue Movies, a new web series from creator/director Scott Brown? Well if you don’t have painful and repressed memories of pleasuring the leading man off camera while trying to support three children all under the age of four I think you’ll be getting some pretty fantastically good awesomeness out of this one. Episode 1 (above), “The First Time,” opens with a “pivotal scene” from a special Batman adaptation, “The Dark Night: Full of Hot Freakin’ Orgies,” where an actually well costumed and acted Joker Zack Gold reenacts the famous disappearing pencil scene.
