“We’re so close,” read a letter from Rick to his allies in Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead. “This can be our last fight.” But if it ain’t over till the fat lady sings, he was starting his victory lap a mite early, considering the fate that befell the “character” in question in “The King, the Widow, and Rick.” And not only was the fat lady headed for a mess of hurt, but two regulars wound up under lock and key — one of them in the buff — another trio was brazenly disobeying orders, and yet another character...

Before moving to its new Mondays-at-9 time slot on June 26, AMC’s Preacher kicked off Season 2 Sunday with an hour that was every bit as sexy, wacky and gory as a fan could pray for. (If nothing else, it had to make at least a few of us rethink our definition of “foreplay.”) But did “On the Road” bring Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy closer to their quarry — God — than it did the Saint of Killers to his — Jesse? Read on; the recap below is your own personal Book of Revelations.

That didn’t really just happen, did it? It couldn’t have, right?
In the penultimate episode of The Walking Dead’s sixth season, Carol found herself in the unfairest of fights; Rick and Morgan took off after her; Daryl took off after Denise’s killer; Michonne, Glenn and Rosita took off after Daryl; and it sure looked like at least one of them wasn’t gonna make it back to Alexandria with a pulse.
Who was the apparent goner-of-the-week? And what other tragedies befell our beleaguered survivors? Keep reading and find out!

When Jesus told Rick & Co. in this week’s episode of The Walking Dead, “Your world’s about to get a whole lot bigger,” maybe he should have mentioned that it was about to get a whole lot more dangerous, too.
By the end of the hour, not only had our ragtag band of survivors paid a visit to Paul’s nearby community, The Hilltop, but they had also learned the conditions of their neighbors’ lopsided deal with Negan and seen firsthand the villain’s preferred method of making a point.

On October 21, 2015, I woke up in my Atlantic Beach home around 7:00 Am. I got dressed, made sure my bags were packed, ate a light breakfast, and took off in my car. Today was my trip to Melbourne, Florida where I would be meeting my friend Jade, and we both would be going to Famous Faces & Funnies for a Skype Q&A with the one and only Brian K. Vaughan.
Brian K. Vaughan is the Eisner-award winning writer of The Runaways (with Adrian Alphona) for Marvel; Y: The Last Man (with Pia Guerra), Ex Machina (with Tony Harris), Pride of Baghdad (with Niko Henrichon) for DC/Vertigo; Saga (with Fiona Staples) and We Stand On Guard (with Steve Skorce) for Image. Vaughan’s creator-owned content is not only voluminous but high quality, as evidenced by critical praise and accolades. He mostly writes science fiction with healthy doses of drama and social/political commentary.

The 2015 incarnation of the Atx Television Festival, the fourth one in the festival’s history, has added a number of new panels to their lineup to go with previously announced panels, which have included Justified, Bunheads, and Playing House.
The festival has added the Fox series Empire to its lineup. Titled “Empire: The Creatives”, the panel will feature the show’s producers Danny Strong, Ilene Chaiken, and Wendy Calhoun discussing the freshman series. The animated series Rick & Morty will also be making an appearance at the festival, as channel Adult Swim is set to present “Inside Rick and Morty”, which will feature a discussion with the show’s creators, Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland.

The midseason premiere of The Walking Dead began and ended with a burial.
"What Happened and What's Going On" opened with a funeral seen in a sneak peek released earlier this week. Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Noah (Tyler James Williams) wept. We assumed it was Beth's (Emily Kinney) burial.
We were wrong.
On the Road AgainThe very sudden – and completely man-inflicted – loss of Beth cast a pall over the episode, acting as the driving motivator for Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the rest to head for their next destination.

The Walking Dead, “Self Help” opened with Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Rosita (Christian Serratos), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Tara (Alanna Masterson) heading to Washington, D.C., on the church bus, while Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the others waited for the return of Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride).
The Walking Dead Recap
On the road, Rosita teased Abraham about his long locks and offered to give him a haircut, while Tara attempted – rather unsuccessfully – to engage Eugene in some friendly conversation. Maggie and Glenn try to steer the conversation in a more meaningful direction and attempt to get Eugene to explain to them how this supposed cure will work. He says just about everything is classified, and before the two can press him further, the bus overturns.

No.1's Week. Movie Week. '80s Week. Zzzzz.
Is it any wonder that X Factor ratings are tumbling when the show's theme weeks continue to be so predictable? Someone is singing 'Listen' from Dreamgirls you say? Gosh, we've never heard that before.
In the spirit of goodwill, we've got some suggestions that might spice things up and get some songs on a Saturday night that we haven't heard murdered 256 times before.
1. Sing Your Name Week
Inspired by the brilliantly named Ben Haenow, who could perform Crowded House's 'Don't Dream It's Over' ("Hey Now! Hey Now!"), everyone has to sing a song connected to their name.
Fleur East can tackle anything by East 17, Stereo Kicks can tackle a Stereophonics vs Rizzle Kicks mash-up, Lola Saunders can tackle the Kinks classic, Jack Walton could attempt 'Hit The Road Jack' and Only The Young could murder 'We Are Young'.
2. Simon Cowell...

Quite often, TV soundtracks are only mentioned when they're particularly bad. A clunking tune or wobbly composition can turn a beautiful, tense or dramatic TV moment and stink out the whole scene.
But what about the great soundtracks? The ones that make a good moment great. The tunes that give TV shows swagger. Digital Spy has picked out the 10 TV show soundtracks from 2013 that have rocked, helped us get our groove on or made us cry.
