After an exciting, often shocking run of episodes, the season 1 finale of X-Men '97 hits Disney+ next Wednesday, and (former) showrunner Beau DeMayo has shared some "homework" for fans who might want a cryptic hint about what to expect from "Tolerance is Extinction - Part 3."
Spoilers for last week's episode and (potentially) Wednesday's instalment follow.
DeMayo posted an image from Star Trek: The Next Generation season 5, episode 18, "Cause and Effect." This episode of the beloved sci-fi series saw the crew of the Enterprise caught in a time-loop, with the ship being destroyed over and over again, and Picard, Riker, Data and co. having to figure out how to reset the anomaly.
Does this suggest that the X-Men will find themselves in a similar situation? "Tolerance is Extinction - Part 2" certainly left the team in dire straits, with Jean Grey killed(?) by a Mr. Sinister-controlled Cable, and Wolverine's Adamantium...

There's only two more episodes of X-Men '97 to go, and Marvel Studios has released a clip from tomorrow's penultimate season 1 chapter, "Tolerance is Extinction - Part 2."
The preview finds our mutant heroes suiting-up in new costumes for their impending battle with Bastion and his forces.
The outfits are a mixture of the team's classic looks, and the costumes they wore in the pages of The Uncanny X-Men. The clip also sees Jubilee burn Roberto DaCosta's business card, so Sunspot must have decided not to join the fight.
Former showrunner Beau DeMayo hinted at the costume change when he shared the unused pilot for Pryde of the X-Men earlier today.
DeMayo was also asked if he's ever heard any talk of adding Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat to the X-Men '97 roster.
"I haven’t, but my suspicion is Jubilee and Kitty slightly compete in terms of their age and Pov on the team.

Former X-Men '97 showrunner Beau DeMayo has taken to social media to share a "homework assignment" for fans that may want a better idea of what to expect from the middle chapter in the three-part season finale, which airs on Disney+ next Wednesday.
DeMayo posted the cover to 1993's Uncanny X-Men #304, which marked the 30th anniversary celebration of the iconic mutant heroes, and the third chapter in the "Fatal Attractions" storyline.
Spoilers for Tolerance is Extinction - Part 1 and (possibly) Part 2 follow.
Though a few significant events occur in this issue that could inform the episode, we'd say it will most likely draw influence from Magneto's arc. Towards the end of Tolerance is Extinction - Part 1, Dr. Valerie Cooper frees Magnus from Bastion's prison, and the Master of Magnetism flies to one of the northern magnetic pole to manipulate Earth's magnetic field, using his powers to wipe...

Yes, with interest perked back up in the franchise thanks to the Netflix live-action take, Paramount naturally wanted to offer an update about its animated film version. Alongside Bautista and Nam, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten and Roman Zaragoza are in the voice cast, while original animated Airbender series veteran Lauren Montgomery is directing. The film will be in cinemas October 2025.
But that wasn't all – there was also a voice cast update for the next animated Smurfs film, which has Rihanna playing Smurfette (along with writing music and producing) has bolstered its star complement with Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, Jp Karliak, Daniel Levy, Amy Sedaris,...

Warming: this article contains spoilers for the "X-Men '97" episode "Motendo / Lifedeath, Part 1," so proceed with caution.
Since "X-Men '97" is a revival of "X-Men: The Animated Series," the creators of the nostalgic continuation of the Marvel mutants' story made sure to bring back as many of the original voice actors as they could. Sadly, both Norm Spencer (Cyclops) and David Hemblen (Magneto) passed away in 2020, making them unable to return, but Ray Chase and Matthew Waterson are doing fantastic jobs filling in their respective shoes. Meanwhile, Jennifer Hale replaces Catherine Disher as Jean Grey, Chris Potter switched from Gambit to Cable for "X-Men '97," with A.J. LoCascio taking over as the Ragin' Cajun, and Morph is now voiced J.P. Karliak.

Helldivers 2 has been immensely popular among gamers on PC and PS5. The title is appreciated for its exciting gameplay loop and plenty of new content for players. Overall, it has been hailed as one of the best, if not the best, live-service titles ever.
On the other hand, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League received a lot of flak from fans because the title was live service even before it came out. The reason was that Rocksteady, the game’s developer, is known for its competence with single-player games. But it seems like the former has positively influenced the latter, per a recent update.

The third episode of ‘X-Men ’97’ just came out, and it was quite something. It picked up where the last episode left off, with a cliffhanger, introducing new characters and plot twists. Storm met Forge, Scott, and Madelyne Pryor became parents to Nathan Charles Summers (Cable), and Mister Sinister unleashed Madelyne’s madness.
As Madelyne wreaked havoc on the team with nightmares, one standout moment was Morph’s vision. He saw Wolverine in the shower, but instead of looking away or being shocked, he jokingly offered to help with hard-to-reach places.
The scene takes a dark turn when Wolverine responds, “Always with the jokes eh Morph? As If I don’t know?” So, what’s the deal? It’s not crazy to think Morph might have a crush on Wolverine, but it would be bold for the creators to change Wolverine’s well-known love for Jean Grey. They’re probably just friends for now,...

‘X-Men ’97’ just released its third episode and boy was it something. The episode continued from the cliffhanger that took part in the second episode last week which introduced several new characters and interesting plot points. We’ve seen Storm meeting Forge, Scott, and Madelyne Pryor becoming parents to Nathan Charles Summers (Cable) and ultimately Mister Sinister unleashing Madelyne’s madness which leads us to the topic of this article.
As Madelyne Prior unleashed horrific nightmares upon the team, one of the most interesting sequences was the one that belonged to Morph. In his vision he can see Wolverine in the shower, but instead of averting his gaze or acting shocked he continues to take in the view and jokes with Wolverine saying: “Needs some help with those hard to reach place?”
This scene quickly turns back into a nightmare with Wolverine replying: “Always with the jokes eh Morph? As If I don’t know?...

Last week, ‘X-Men ’97’ debuted to rave reviews from fans and critics alike, kicking off with two highly praised episodes. With a flawless 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the future appears promising for Marvel animation.
While the series maintains the essence of the beloved ’90s ‘X-Men: The Animated Series,’ some adjustments were made to characters, plots, and animation styles. One alteration that sparked controversy was the portrayal of Morph as non-binary.
If you’re new to the comics, Morph’s ability is shapeshifting, which inspired the decision to make them non-binary. J.P. Karliak, the voice actor for Morph, addressed the fan criticism in a recent interview with Cbr.

‘X-Men ’97’ was released last week, and the first impressions are overwhelmingly positive, with both fans and critics enjoying the first two episodes. The show has seen historical success, premiering with a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The future looks bright for Marvel animation.
Despite the show being heavily influenced and a continuation of the ’90s ‘X-Men: The Animated Series’ some elements of the show were tweaked and changed while trying to stay faithful to the original characters, stories, and animation. One aspect of the show that’s been met with some degree of backlash is the fact that Morph is non-binary in the show.
If you’re not familiar with the character in the comics, Morph’s superpower is basically shapeshifting, where the inspiration for making him non-binary came from in the first place. J.P. Karliak, the actor who voices Morph on the show recently discussed the fan backlash with Cbr.

The Joker is the first playable character from the first season of the game. In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, he comes from the Elseworlds.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a title from Rocksteady after the studio released Arkham Knight in 2015 as the concluding installment of the Arkham trilogy. The game currently stands at a 60 Metascore, considered mixed or average.
In the Elseworlds trailer for the game, Joker, the iconic villain from DC Comics, was introduced as an upcoming playable character. Jp Karliak, who played the supervillain in the title, was interviewed recently by the FandomWire Gaming team. In the interview, the actor elaborated on the villain’s origins and shared his experience while lending his voice to the character.

Ever since Rocksteady Studios announced that the Joker would be making a comeback in its new Arkhamverse installment, fans became more skeptical about Suicide Squad: KtJL. The game was already not getting the best reviews, but the Clown Prince of Crime’s inclusion in the title initially didn’t make sense due to canonical reasons.
However, the developer confirmed that Jp Karliak’s take on the DC villain is actually an Elseworlds version of the character, making him different from what Mark Hamill brought to the role, but it’s inevitable for the community to make comparisons between the two performances when Batman’s archnemesis arrives in Rocksteady’s game.

Karliak’s Joker may be different from Hamill’s, but that’ll probably not stop fans from comparing the two performances.

Rocksteady Studios’ Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League hasn’t been the success the developer hoped it would be. The game has fallen short of players’s expectations with its lackluster performance and various technical issues. The game has been regularly losing players.
Kill the Justice League has 415 players in the game at the time of writing, and the 24-hour peak count is 591 players. Despite all this, the first episode of Season 1 will be launching soon with new content, but once again, it has found itself in the middle of criticism, this time for WayneTech suits.

The beauty of “X-Men ’97” (currently streaming on Disney+) is that it’s more than just a nostalgia trip — it’s a very timely continuation of “X-Men: The Animated Series” that addresses today’s more complicated world while staying true to the spirit of the original. There’s a greater celebration of queer diversity (Morph has been redesigned as a non-binary shapeshifter) but also an accelerated powder keg of hate, which makes the mutants’ enemies much more formidable. This calls for drastic action, which is why the torch has been passed to former arch nemesis Magneto (Matthew Waterson) to lead the X-Men following the loss of Professor Xavier.
The 10-episode animated series also represents Marvel’s first “X-Men” project since regaining the rights from Fox and serves as a prelude to the franchise joining the MCU in this summer’s lone Marvel movie, “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Yet it was vital...

A Marvel project has received the studio’s first perfect Rotten Tomatoes score since the launch of the MCU.
Disney+’s newly launched animated series X-Men ’97 has a very rare 100 percent “Fresh” rating.
While many of the reviewers are from more niche fan-focused sites than for a typical live-action show or feature film, the score nonetheless edges out Marvel’s other top-scored projects like 2022’s Ms. Marvel (98 percent), 2018’s Black Panther (96 percent), 2013’s Marvel’s Agents of Shield (95 percent) and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame (94 percent).
Marvel Animation’s X-Men ’97, which premiered Wednesday, reboots 1992’s X-Men: The Animated Series. From the official descriptions: X-Men ’97 “revisits the iconic era of the 1990s as The X-Men, a band of mutants who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, are challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future.”

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League hasn’t been the most promising title in recent times, and the community still wants to give it a chance. Unfortunately, the game’s marketing is nowhere to be seen. even though the game’s first season is just a week away.
There’s no gameplay clip, pictures, or even details about what players can expect on launch day. This isn’t good news for the game, since the title is already in bad shape given its negative reviews and lackluster approach to a live-service model.
Fans haven’t been this disinterested in a game that involves the Joker The Joker is coming to the game! Excited? No? Understandable.
Despite a promising performance by actor Jp Karliak, it seems like the game’s marketing team is against any possibility of creating hype for the game. Even after the base game’s arrival has been nothing short of a flop,...

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has had a less than ideal beginning to its live-service platform. The game garnered quite a lot of negative feedback before its release, and even more so after it. But there’s still much to look forward to in Rocksteady’s take on the now-beloved band of misfits.
One of the first major additions to the game is a playable Joker who will be voiced by Jp Karliak instead of Mark Hamill. In our recent interview with the voice behind the clown himself, he revealed a lot about his personal experiences on set, the absence of Mark Hamill, and hinted at the potential of even more of Elseworld’s Joker than we originally thought.
Could Suicide Squad be Getting Even More Joker Content than We Originally Assumed? Suicide Squad’s live-service model is about to go full swing ahead.

If there’s one thing that could save Suicide Squad: KtJL from its downward spiral, it’s the inclusion of the Joker, who has turned out to be the saving grace for plenty of mediocre DC media in the past as well. It goes without saying that the character means a lot to many people, but where the fans find it quick and easy to criticize newer takes on the Clown Prince of Crime, it’s the actors playing the part who are on the receiving end of unnecessary hate.
Which is why we had to ask Jp Karliak, who plays the iconic villain in the upcoming Rocksteady Dlc, about how it felt to take on such a risky role and try to fill Mark Hamill’s legendary shoes.

After the failure that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League meant for WB Games and Rocksteady, the studio has a lot of content prepared to revive the game, including new playable characters.
Thanks to an interview with Jp Karliak, the voice from the Joker that will be the first added character of the game, we have some information about why Warner is not putting Mark Hamill as the Joker in current projects. Apparently, Warner didn’t want any voice close to another version of the Joker, including Hamill. This is a new and fresh version of the character.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Will Add the Joker, but Without Mark Hamill Jp Karliak on how WB Games asked for a Joker from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is very far from any other interpretation, including Mark Hamill.
