Netflix Unveils Preview Of Jenny Slate Comedy Special ‘Stage Fright’
Jenny Slate has a date with Netflix.

The actress and comedian’s first original comedy special for the streamer, titled Jenny Slate: Stage Fright, is set to drop next month.

The special will give viewers an inside look at the Saturday Night Live alum’s world, including clips of her childhood and interviews with her family, interspersed with her stand-up set.

Slate will share details on her visit to a midnight Catholic Mass and the ghosts that haunted her childhood home. She also discusses overcoming stage fright.

Fans may recall Slate served as a cast member on SNL for Season 35 from 2009 to 2010. After being let go from the NBC sketch comedy series, Slate says she developed stage fright as she figured out what was next.

The Massachusetts native has since had roles in a string of TV shows and films, including Obvious Child, Zootopia and The Secret Life of Pets franchise.

'Big Mouth' season 3 gets a release date

Animated comedy show "Big Mouth" will return to Netflix with its third season on October 4.

The adult animated comedy is created by real-life childhood friends Andrew Goldberg and Nick Kroll.

"Big Mouth" revolves around a group of middle schoolers as they deal with their burgeoning puberty with the help of their own personal "hormone monsters", reports variety.com.

The series is directed by Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett.

"Big Mouth" features voice work by comedians including John Mulaney, Rachel Rudolph, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen and Jenny Slate.

The first season of "Big Mouth" that consisted of 10 episodes premiered on the streaming website in September 2017, and the second season was released in October 2018.

Legacies is adding another new addition to its ranks for Season 2.

Deadline is reporting that The Fosters veteran Bianca Santos has been added in a recurring capacity.

She will play a "sharp-tongued and flirtatious” Mystic Falls High School student named Maya.

She will be the daughter of the new Sheriff in town, who goes by the name of Mac. There's no telling what became of Matt Donovan, but given that he's survived every deadly scenario in Mystic Falls, he may be off taking some much-needed respite.

Maya also has a brother named Ethan, so there's that.

The good news here is that it sounds like we'll be spending more time in the town as opposed to just the high school setting.

Fox has set a slew of celebrity guest voices for the return of its Sunday night Animation Domination block including John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, Asia Kate Dillon, Jim Parsons and Holly Hunter.

The block, which first ran between 2005-14, returns on September 20 with The Simpsons at 8 p.m., new series Bless The Harts at 8:30, Bob’s Burgers at 9 and Family Guy at 9:30.

‘The Simpsons’ Adds John Legend, Chrissy Teigen as Guest Stars for Season 31
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen will make their voice-guest starring debut on “The Simpsons” for the upcoming season of the long-running Fox animated comedy, the network announced at the Television Critics Association press tour on Wednesday.

But they aren’t the only famous faces who will be lending their vocals to Fox’s Sunday “Animation Domination” lineup this fall, with a roster of A-listers including Jason Momoa, Bryan Cranston, Niecy Nash, Megan Mullally, Holly Hunter, Mary Steenburgen and Billy Eichner set to guest star on “The Simpsons,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “Family Guy” and new series “Bless the Harts.”

Fox Acquires ‘Bob’s Burgers’ Animation Studio Bento Box Entertainment

Fox Entertainment has acquired Bento Box Entertainment, the animation house behind some of its broadcast network’s shows, including “Bob’s Burgers”, the upcoming “Duncanville” and “The Great North.”

Founded in 2009 by Scott Greenberg, Joel Kuwahara and Mark McJimsey — with current owners being Greenberg, Kuwahara and Brett Coke — Bento Box will operate as a stand-alone entity under Fox Entertainment and produce content for all platforms. Bento Box’s kids and family investment, Sutikki, and its related assets, are not part of the acquisition.

The company’s leadership team will remain in place, including Greenberg (CEO) and Kuwahara (President of Production), as well as senior executives Coker (COO), Ben Jones (Creative Director), Craig Hartin (Gm of Bento Box Atlanta), Janelle Momary (Supervising Producer) and Andi Raab (Supervising Producer).

Vanessa Bayer Joins Fellow ‘SNL’ Alum Andy Samberg As Guest Star On ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’
Another Saturday Night Live reunion is happening on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Vanessa Bayer is set to guest star on the seventh season of the NBC cop comedy, joining series star and fellow SNL alum Andy Samberg.

Samberg took to the Lonely Island Instagram to do a lowkey announcement of the casting news with a photo of the two of them in police garb and ready for some Nine-Nine action (see below).

Bayer is the latest SNL alum to guest star on the NBC comedy. Previous SNL-ers that have appeared on the series include Jenny Slate, Fred Armisen, Maya Rudolph and Adam Sandler.

After being canceled at Fox, Brooklyn Nine-Nine moved to NBC for a sixth season. Earlier this year, it was renewed for a seventh season. Created by the Parks and Recreation duo of Dan Goor and Michael Schur, Brooklyn Nine-Nine centers on Samberg’s Peralta, a screwball who happens to be a real good cop.

Netflix renews Big Mouth for three more seasons

During the Television Critics Association summer press tour, Netflix has announced that it has renewed its adult animated series Big Mouth for three additional seasons, which will take the show through to six in total.

Big Mouth is created by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett, and revolves around a group of middle-schoolers as they attempt to navigate puberty. Featuring in the voice cast are Kroll, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein, Jason Mantzoukas, Maya Rudolph, Jenny Slate and Jordan Peele.

The previously announced third season of Big Mouth is set to get underway on Netflix later this year.
