A yoga instructor, after a violent attack at her home, sees flashbacks of her life and begins a frantic race through her past to try to save her boyfriend.
Fresh off his segment in Scare Package II: Rad Chad’s Revenge, writer/director Jed Shepherd has made this short film centred around a question time travel media has long explored; if you could travel back to the past, would you change it? That is something yoga instructor Jess (Jemma Moore) must reckon with after a home invasion leaves the lives of her and her boyfriend Scott (Amar Chadha-Patel) in peril.
Seeing her life flashing before her eyes, Jess finds herself able to control where she ends up and uses the opportunity to try altering the past. It is an effective...

Three days after the Debris Season 1 finale, NBC has decided not to move forward with another season.
The Joel Wyman created sci-fi series starring Jonathan Tucker, and Riann Steele started with a lot of promise.
Tucker and Steele starred as two agents from rival countries tasked with working together to determine the origin of mysterious alien debris falling to earth.
Tucker's Bryan was an ex-combat soldier who served in Afghanistan, and Steele's Finola was an MI6 agent serving the UK.
Early on, Bryan and Finola seemed like opposites. Bryan was pragmatic, and Finola was interested in the implications of the debris for its usefulness to humanity.
As the two characters worked together, they soon met in the middle, forming a tight bond that placed them in the middle, fighting against management and a group called Influx.

NBC, Fox, ABC and CBS all unveiled their Fall 2021 TV schedules at this week’s “upfront” presentations to advertisers – conducted virtually, due to the pandemic – showing of which new series will be added to lineups and which old favorites are returning. This also meant revealing the broadcast TV shows that won’t be making it back for the 2021-2022 season in the process.
But then there are the straggler series, the ones that networks have yet to make a decision on, even though their slates are set. The reasons behind why a show has yet to be renewed or canceled this late in the season vary, with consideration given to how many episodes it has left to air and headaches over contract negotiations.

Science fiction on network television has traditionally leaned towards a hybrid formula of episodic and serial content, and Debris is no exception. Even as the series premiere laid the groundwork for the Orbital task force to investigate and contain the alien spacecraft wreckage that occasionally falls to Earth, it also left open the possibility for self-contained storylines reminiscent of monster-of-the-week episodes of The X-Files, only with debris pieces instead of creatures.
Scroobius Pip, who plays a shady black market debris purchaser named Anson Ash, enjoys the narrative flexibility this gives Debris. “It was one of the great appeals because the fact that the debris has different properties and does different things makes it this endless, exciting pool of things that can happen each week,” he says. “So I’d imagine the viewers’ experience will be similar to me as a reader of the scripts. Each time a new script comes in,...

What if The X-Files or Fringe had a grand unified theory that attributed all of the mysterious phenomena its government operatives investigated to one cause? Such is the question posed by Debris, J. H. Wyman’s latest sci-fi offering premiering on NBC March 1. The series’ title refers to pieces of wreckage from an alien spacecraft that induce unexplained phenomena wherever they land, including the conveyance of powers coveted by dark operatives and hoarded by government agencies. It’s a compelling premise, but it looks like it may take some time to gel based on a preview of the pilot.
That cautious optimism doesn’t spring from the suspension of disbelief involved in accepting the idea that chunks of a spaceship could have almost supernatural effects, no two exactly the same; the prospect of episodic “piece of the week” stories in Debris is actually a welcome one.
