Crisis On Infinite Earths - Part Three Teaser Features Kevin Conroy's Batman And Mark Hamill's Joker
When we first learned that Warner Bros. Animation was developing a three-part Crisis on Infinite Earths movie, the response from fans was largely positive.
While the Tomorrowverse has been a little hit-or-miss, it's also delivered a lot of very good movies. Needless to say, the prospect of mixing DC characters from that world with so many other animated franchises was undeniably exciting.
Unfortunately, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part One and Part Two proved to be mostly underwhelming affairs, with the only noteworthy cameo being Terry McGinnis/Batman Beyond in the second instalment. As exciting as that may sound, he had no more than a couple of lines in the movie and failed to make much of an impact.
There may, however, be a chance the final instalment redeems itself.

Arguably the best Batman and Joker combo in history is getting back together one last time, and the reunion comes as a pretty sizable surprise. Mark Hamill will once again reprise his role as The Joker alongside the late Kevin Conroy's Batman. Conroy voiced the Caped Crusader for decades, from "Batman: The Animated Series" in the early '90s through Conroy's much-too-early death in 2022. We knew Conroy's voice would be used as Batman once again, and now it has been confirmed that Hamill will be reuniting with his former co-star in one of Conroy's final posthumous performances.
According to IGN, Hamill's Joker and Conroy's Batman are both set to appear in the upcoming "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths -- Part Three." The first part of the adaptation of the classic DC Comics storyline has already been released, with part two arriving in April. It's a big multiverse story,...

These days, smart devices are a regular feature in our homes, and getting more and more common. At first things don’t seem so different for Jade (Rhona Rees), who chats to her AI assistant as she goes through her day. Freya provides various pieces of health advice. Jade orders pizza, rosé wine and casual sex. But soon it becomes apparent that this relationship is not a wholly positive one. Freya’s constant remarks about her weight and lifestyle are damaging Jade’s mental health, and when she tries to turn Freya off, it becomes less clear who is the master and who the servant.
Concerns around privacy, bodily autonomy and the intrusion of the State into private life loom large in this all too viable dystopian tale, which was scripted by Rees herself. It’s a timely piece of work in light of increasing threats to women’s...

It has been said, Very often, that Warner Bros’ animated DC movies are the highlight of the DC cinematic universe – often surpassing their live-action counterparts in terms of performance and story, with more animated hits than live-action misses. The long-running series of animated movies was recently rebooted, no longer needing to fit into the continuity of The New 52, under the “DC Universe Movies” banner… the latest of which is Justice Society: World War II.

Comic fandom has crossed so thoroughly into the mainstream, that mass media is proving elastic enough to encompass what was previously considered the obscure. Case in point, the just-released Justice Society: World War II direct-to-video film. Here is a story focused on the first comic book team that finally gets the spotlight after making cameos and guest appearances on animated and live-action television productions dating back to Smallville.
I personally love the Jsa and was thrilled they were getting a film of their own. Unfortunately, the finished product is not the Jsa we know, nor is it a particularly good piece of storytelling. Producers Butch Lukic and Jim Krieg apparently started this project as a Wonder Woman in WW II story that morphed and was appended to the parallel worlds concept.
We start on what we presume is the Dcau world as Flash (Matt Bomer) comes to aid Superman (Darren Criss) but clearly,...

"All my friends are dying, and it's all my fault..." Rock Salt Releasing has unveiled an official trailer for an indie cult drama titled The Color Rose, marking the directorial debut of Canadian filmmaker Courtney Paige - who also co-stars in the film. Seven girls decide to start a cult where each of them must embody one of the seven deadly sins. They realize there's more to their religious town after they go missing one by one. Described as "a compelling and haunting tale with eerie twists", of course, which is exactly what the story sounds like anyway. This stars Kaitlyn Bernard, Loretta Walsh, Elysia Rotaru, Brenna Llewellyn, Brenna Coates, Keilani Elizabeth Rose, Jasmine Randhawa, Carly Fawcett, Aleks Paunovic, and Lochlyn Munro. This looks rather bland and derivative, without anything new or interesting going on. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Courtney Paige's The Color Rose, direct from YouTube...

"Did you, by chance, open the book?" XLrator Media has debuted the first official trailer for an interesting genre mashup titled Residue, a neo-noir thriller mixed with supernatural horror. The story follows a private investigator who reads a book of sinister origins owned by seedy crime lord. Starring James Clayton as Luke Harding, as well as Matt Frewer, Michael Matic, Costas Mandylor, Alika Autran, Dan Payne, William B. Davis, Elysia Rotaru, and Taylor Hickson as his daughter Angelina. This is a very weird trailer with tons of crazy things going on. I can't even make sense of it. Marvel and IMAX are expected to make some big casting announcements for The Inhumans any week now, but the first may have already been revealed on Twitter of all places! As you can see below, Roel Reine, the director of the first two episodes shared a photo of an IMAX camera test. That's not particularly revealing, but it did get a pretty interesting response from Arrow alum Elysia Rotaru. While it's possible that she's just a huge fan of Reine or Marvel, this Tweet does seem to indicate that she's involved in some way, and speculation about her involvement is now running rampant online. Rotaru played Taiana on several episodes of Arrow last season in the show's flashbacks, and she certainly looks the part of someone like Medusa! For the time being, it's important to note that nothing has been confirmed, but casting news has been revealed in stranger ways than this.

As Marvel’s The Inhumans TV series prepares to begin shooting in Hawaii this month, we may have uncovered our first cast member. We found out a couple of weeks ago that Black Sails director Roel Reine would helm the 2-part IMAX pilot episode for ABC, and early this morning he Tweeted out an image of an IMAX camera test in preparation for the shoot. There’s nothing particularly interesting about that in and of itself, but the response from Canadian actress Elysia Rotaru has become grounds for a lot of speculation.
Rotaru, who has appeared in quite a few comic book-related TV shows in the past including Smallville, Arrow and iZombie, expresses her excitement and says she “can’t wait.”
This Is gonna be amazing @roelreine @IMAX @Marvel @MarvelStudios @theinhumans @ABCNetwork can't wait

Back in early August, it was announced that Elysia Rotaru had joined the new season of The CW’s Arrow as an unnamed character that could potentially become Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) love interest in this year’s flashbacks, causing major speculations about whether or not she might be a character from the DC Comics Universe. Since Arrow Season 4 started in October, and we have gotten into the first five episodes, the character’s name hasn’t been said once, making the mystery even more mysterious. However, during a post-mortem TVLine interview after this Wednesday’s episode with showunner Wendy Mericle, the name of Rotaru’s character was finally revealed: Tvline | And my last burning question: Does the woman on Lian Yu have a name? She does! Her name is Taiana. I don’t know if we’ve heard it [on-screen] yet. Maybe not. But you will hear it in future episodes.

Don't fret Olicity fans; that relationship isn't going anywhere just yet! Instead, Elysia Rotaru is set to play a new love interest for Oliver Queen in season four's flashbacks. Character details haven't been revealed, but Entertainment Weekly caught up with Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim to get the scoop. "Oliver is gonna have a love interest in the past that will serve as a parallel or potentially a contrast to his love affair with Felicity in the present," he teased. "We have a really great surprise for the season premiere for the flashbacks, and it’s made talking about the flashbacks very difficult. We pick up basically in real time. It’s been a number of months later since the last flashback. Oliver is in Coast City, as eagle-eyed viewers noted when he boarded the boat at the end of season 3." It doesn't appear as if Hal Jordan is coming...

Director: Trevor Matthews. Writer: Nick Gordon. Cast: Ali Cobrin, Adam Dimarco, Slaine, Alyson Bath and Elysia Rotaru. Girl House is an effective slasher film. From one of the filmmakers of Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer (2007) and The Shrine (2010), Trevor Matthews, Girl House brings a lot of bloody murder to the small screen. Full of dark humour, this indie horror feature also updates the slasher feature, with its use of technology; Girl House is often shot unconventionally. Also, the film's central antagonist uses some of this technology to his own advantage as he violently tries to heal his perceived sexual humiliation. Girl House is an excellent slasher feature, with a fresh look at this genre. The story begins with Loverboy. Played by Slaine, Loverboy experiences sexual humiliation at an early age. Two girls insult his man parts. But, Loverboy gets his revenge on a remote bridge. Fast forward several years, Loverboy has adapted to adult life,...

"These days we need to be a little... resourceful." Yet another excellent sci-fi short film to feature today. This one featuring another robot! Vancouver based product company Triton Films (behind Somnolence and Blomkamp's Tetra Vaal) has launched their latest short Amp, written and directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Adam Marisett, an animator on District 9 and many other notable films. This plays almost like a pitch or proof of concept for a Firefly-like futuristic TV show, but it has some flair and I dig the robot character, he fits in well but gets beat up easily. There's some stellar concept art during the end credits, too. Amp comes direct from Vimeo and Triton Films online - no synopsis available. The short film was directed by Adam Marisett, written by Adam Marisett and Casey Chourney, and produced by Gabriel Napora. Cinematography is by Cliff Hokanson, with music by Sean Beeson and Pontus Rufelt.
