Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has a fair amount going against it out of the gates. It’s (sort of) based on a video game, which isn’t exactly a golden ticket, screams of wild action flick (which is plus or minus perhaps), is directed by Mike Newell (who is better known for things like Enchanted April and Four Weddings and a Funeral, as opposed to wild, action flicks), and its marketing campaign seems hell bent on revealing as little about the actual plot as possible.
