Freelance journalist David Leavitt has apologized on Twitter after making an insensitive joke about the bombing in Manchester on Monday. “Multiple Confirmed Fatalities at Manchester Arena,” Leavitt wrote in a tweet that’s since been deleted. “The last time I listened to Ariana Grande I almost died too.” Twitter users were quick to condemn the joke and Leavitt for making light of what turned out to be a major terror attack. 22 people were killed and 59 injured when a bomb went off at Manchester Arena as an Ariana Grande concert was letting out Monday night. Rose McGowan and David Leavitt (aka Davey Detail) are officially over. E! News can confirm the actress, 43, and the visual artist, 33, finalized their divorce on Thursday after three years of marriage. Neither party is asking for spousal support. McGowan originally filed for divorce in February, citing irreconcilable differences as the ultimate reason for their split and noting they had separated in May 2015 after just a year and a half of marriage. At the time of the filing, McGowan asked the judge to reject any requests for spousal support from Leavitt and said that the two divided their assets outside of court. Just hours after news of the divorce hit headlines, McGowan...

It's official: Trekkies and Trekkers across the net are over the moon about CBS's announcement Tuesday that Bryan Fuller will take up the mantle of showrunner on CBS's forthcoming Star Trek series. Indeed, the writer/producer's connections to the franchise run deep. Though best known for creating such cult TV shows as Pushing Daisies, Wonderfalls and the recently-canceled Hannibal, Fuller is not only a self-professed lifelong fan of the Gene Roddenberry-created franchise but wrote 22 episodes of Deep Space Nine and Voyager between 1997 and 2001. "I would say that there was an audible sigh of relief from the Star Trek fan community," said Joe Outlaw, spokesperson for the international Star Trek fan club The Federation. "In general, I say that having Bryan Fuller involved, because of his historical publicly stated involvement with Star Trek, his background, his commitment to the traditional Star Trek universe, and...the involvement of Alex Kurtzman, who...

The best way to keep your mind off of rough times is to stay busy, right? Such is the case for Rose McGowan. The Charmed actress hit the red carpet for a Powerpuff Girls x Moschino launch event on Thursday night, just a few hours after the news of her divorce from Davey Detail was announced. Despite the difficult timing, McGowan looked happy at the event, posing in a sporty black-on-black ensemble with a fishnet accented top and satin joggers. She smiled as she chatted with friends and even posed for a few photos. McGowan and her visual artist soon-to-be ex-husband (born David Leavitt) were married for three years. E! News obtained the court docs in which the 42-year-old cited...

Rose McGowan has filed from divorce from her husband of nearly three years, Davey Detail (born David Leavitt). The Charmed actress cited irreconcilable differences as the ultimate reason she and the visual artist (and soon-to-be ex-husband) called it quits, in the paperwork filed in Los Angeles earlier this week. E! News obtained the court docs, which also shows that McGowan is asking the judge to reject any requests for spousal support from Detail. She also listed their separation date as May 1, 2015—meaning they were together for one year and a half since separating. The 42-year-old star also notes that the two have appeared to divide their assets outside of court. Back in October of 2013,...

Very few of Andy Warhol's anointed "superstars" managed a long shelf-life. They simply were too wild, too beautiful, and too damned. There were the poor little rich girl Edie Sedgwick, the transgender icon Candy Darling, and the husky, glacial, heroin-swamped charm of Nico. All gone, along with a cavalcade of others; too soon and in the 20th century. Ultra Violet survived into this one, and originally arrived as a somebody already in the anybody everybody world of The Factory.

Q: Recently, I've been reading about the movie Role/Play starring real-life boyfriends Matthew Montgomery and Steve Callahan and it got me thinking about gay-themed movies in which the gay leads, romantic or otherwise, are portrayed by openly gay actors. So far I've come up with seven other movies: Adam & Steve, Back Soon, Eating Out 3, A Four Letter Word, Long Term Relationship, Save Me, and Shortbus. Are there any others out there? -- Aaron, Chicago
A: There are surprisingly few.
Generally speaking, the lower the budget, the more likely the actors are to be gay and out. Why? Well, not to be unkind to some very talented indie actors,...

Q: On last week’s episode of The Amazing Race, both Sam and Dan’s groin areas were pixelated during their mudflats volleyball game in Tallinn, Estonia – but no one else was. Upon arrival at the mudflats volleyball court, Sam, after a thorough survey of their male competitors, remarked how gorgeous and good-looking they all were in their black trunks. Could it be a case of uncontrolled standing ovation or just attire malfunction? – Anonymous
Sam (left) and Dan McMillen
A: What are you suggesting – that they both had uncontrolled standing ovations? That makes me wonder what’s in the water back in Liberty, Missouri.
But it’s true: plenty of viewers were perplexed by the curious case of the pixilation of the underwear of Amazing Race’s hot gay brothers.
