“I Need Hair to Be Pretty”
Airs Sundays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Some of the best Amazing Race moments have shown players overcoming serious fears of heights, tight spaces, and even jumping into a pool. Seeing their thrilled reactions after overcoming these challenges is one of the reasons the show remains popular. In season seven, Uchenna and Joyce became fan favorites after she won the Fast Forward by getting her head shaved. His supportive reaction during and after the experience showed their tight bond. Thirteen seasons later, that challenge is back in a similar spot late in the season, but the results are much different. Brendon and Rachel could guarantee themselves a place in the final four by completing this task. This is the type of moment that could alter their status in the game and the eyes of viewers. The final stage of grief — Acceptance — is still a ways off for the casts, crews and viewers of All My Children and One Life to Live, the pair of long-running soaps ABC has decided to cancel as of September and February, respectively. But the first stage, Denial, seemingly is behind us, if only because rumors of the possible (evil) twin killing swirled weeks ago.

Ever wonder how TV shows are born? Well, when a Mommy TV show and a Daddy TV show love each other very much, they start to kiss and rub their bodies together, and then they...
Wait, scratch that. Wrong explanation.
The truth is, all year long, broadcast and cable networks hear pitches from writers and producers, which they then commission into actual scripts. Every winter and spring, they order some of these scripts to "pilot," which means the show is cast and a "pilot" episode is shot.
This does not mean that the show is necessarily ever going to make it on air. Pilots are ordered precisely so the networks can decide whether they want to invest in them. From the pilot, they can see how the show looks, whether or not it "works," and whether casting changes are necessary. Case in point, last year Fox passed on Ron Moore...

I don't know what it is about CBS' The Amazing Race, but other than Project Runway, I can't think of another reality show that gives us as many interesting gay contestants as does Tar. Last season it was Mike and Mel White, as well as Luke Adams who was deaf and gay and competed with his mother Margie.
The network just announced the new line-up for the season debuting September 27th and it includes Sam and Dan McMillen, two brothers who only recently came out to each other. As you can see from the above pic, the duo are not only cute, but young and fit, something that bodes well for them to go far in the show.
So add The Amazing Race to your list of Must Watch Gay TV! And kudos to the show for continuing to present all sorts of gay relationships and pairings on the show.

The fall's 13th installment of CBS' "The Amazing Race" wasn't so much of a race at all. Siblings Nick and Starr finished in first a whopping seven legs of The Race, including the finale for the million dollar prize. They were athletic, reasonably intelligent and except for one meltdown from Starr, they kept their wits about them at all times. Only two other teams won legs the entire race. It was probably the most dominant piece of racing in the show's history. I'm just going to go out on a limb and say that the show's 14th season, which premiered...

After winning the popular reality show "The Amazing Race" on December 7, sister and brother team, Starr and Nick Spangler, shared their excitement to be the champion of the CBS' show season thirteen. On December 8, Starr and Nick spoke to Reality TV World about winning the race as well as their experience during the around-the-world competition.
As stated by Nick, he was surprised to have won the race because at that time he thought that their rival, Ken and Tina, probably had a chance to beat them on the last challenge. "It was unbelievable. I can't really put it into words except. Honestly, I never stopped doubting that maybe Ken and Tina had somehow beat us," said Nick.
Contrary to her brother, Starr believed that her team would be the winner because she knew that her team was ahead of their rival. She said, "See, I knew in the cab as...

The winners of the 13th season of The Amazing Race were, in a word, Fantastick. After traversing more than 40,000 miles over 22 days, the brother-sister team of Nick and Starr Spangler was the first to cross the finish line, getting declared the newest winners of the CBS Emmy-magnet and receiving the $1 million prize. "She's been unbelievable on this race," the 22-year-old Nick said of his little sister. "More than $1 million, more than being the winners of The Amazing Race, I love the experience that I've gone through with my sister, and I've loved seeing her succeed so greatly." Luckily, the only rivalry the siblings exhibited were for the other teams. The 21-year-old...

Mother and son Toni and Dallas have to end their journey in the 13th season of "The Amazing Race" after making a fatal error of accidentally leaving their passport and and money in a taxi. "I feel closer to my son than I ever have," Toni said upon elimination. "I have the deepest respect and pride for the man that he's grown up to be. This has been the best experience of my life and I wouldn't change a thing that we did, not one."
Three teams are left in the final leg of the race, they are Frat Boys Andrew and Dan, separated couple Ken and Tina as well as siblings Nick and Starr. From Moscow, Russia, they are going to fly back home to Portland, Oregon before a pair crosses the finish line and win the $1,000,000 prize.
