Now that Hunger Games has become Hollywood's next big franchise, fans of the movie and of Suzanne Collins' books are anxiously waiting for the three planned sequels (the third book, Mockingjay, is being split into two movies).
Though fans have to wait until 2013 to see Catching Fire, they can get a glimpse of a fan-made scene from Mockingjay. This isn't your typical fan video made over a a weekend.
The clip, The Mockingjay Propo, hit the web early this week, recreating a scene from Collin's final Hunger Games book. Those who have read Mockingjay will recall the scene between Katniss and the Capitol (Spoil Alert for those who haven't).
Kate Farrell, who takes over the role of Katniss Everdeen for Jennifer Lawrence in the video, runs the fan site HungerGamesTrilogy.Net. Jonathan Parris, who created the video, said he worked on concept designs for a month then shot the...

Now that "The Hunger Games" has become a certified blockbuster hit, it's never too early to start thinking about the sequel "Catching Fire" -- or even further ahead, to "Mockingjay." We're still a few years away before the third and final book of the series premieres on the big screen, but that hasn't stopped tributes from making their own big-budget fan film. New exhibits add to the original V&A show which opens down at the Quays on Saturday. Helen Nugent reports
It's a far cry from haunting industrial landscapes and matchstick cats and dogs but a new exhibition at The Lowry in Salford is set to pull in the crowds.
An exploration of the music, image and vision of one of the most successful female artists in UK music history opens at the Quays this coming Saturday, March 17. The House of Annie Lennox, a touring exhibition originally organised by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, is being staged as part of the Lowry's performance-related visual art programme. It promises to be a feast for the eyes.
Curated by Lennox with additional content from staff at The Lowry, the exhibition has at its heart an installation designed around the concept of a 'House', providing a journey through the different facets of Lennox's creative vision.
