The Daytime Emmy nominations were announced yesterday with quite a few surprises for Days of our Lives fans.
Overall the Peacock soap did pretty well with acting nominations for Wally Kurth (Justin), Tamara Braun (Ava), Eric Martsolf (Brady), Emily O’Brien (Gwen/Therea), Linsey Godfrey (Sarah), Dick Van Dyke (Timothy), and for Daytime Drama Series.
Dick’s nomination made history because, at age 98, he’s the oldest actor to earn a Daytime Emmy nomination.
However, not all Days fans were happy with the Daytime Emmy nominees.
Arianne Zucker (Nicole) was missing from the list, which was one hot topic.
Let’s take a look at what Days of our Lives fans are saying after The 51st annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations were announced.
Days of our Lives fans celebrate Dick Van Dyke historic Daytime Emmy nomination.
The hottest topic over on X (formerly Twitter) was Dick making history and adding to his already stellar career.

The Daytime Emmy Awards nominations were announced, and The Bold and the Beautiful smelled like roses with several nominations.
With nominations in every category except Supporting Actor, the CBS sudser will be well represented during the June ceremony.
It may seem as if viewers just watched the 50th Daytime Emmy Awards, but that’s because last year’s show was delayed six months due to the actor and writers strikes that took over Hollywood.
The Bold and the Beautiful has three men in the Lead Actor category, two women in Lead Actress, and one each in Supporting Actress and Guest Performer.
Despite being a 30-minute soap, viewers are loyal and continue tuning in daily. There’s a clear divide between the Logans and Forresters, which carries over into the fan base.
Let’s take a look at who was nominated and who wasn’t.

Netflix has debuted the trailer for the dark comedic thriller ‘Bodkin’.
The show follows a motley crew of podcasters who set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in a quaint, coastal Irish town. But once they start pulling at threads, they discover a story much bigger and weirder than they could have ever imagined. As our heroes try to discern fact from fiction — about the case, about their colleagues, and, most painfully, themselves — the series challenges our perception of truth and exposes the stories we tell ourselves to justify our beliefs or validate our fears.

Guest stars include Pom Boyd (Mrs. O’Shea), Fionnula Flanagan (Mother Bernadette), Áine Ní Mhuirí (Sister McDonagh), Charlie Kemp (Damien), Pat Shortt (Darragh), Ger Kelly (Teddy), Denis Conway (Sergeant...

The BBC has acquired crime drama series Rebus, a new adaptation of the best-selling Inspector Rebus novels by Scottish author Ian Rankin, starring Richard Rankin (Outlander, The Replacement) in the lead role.
Adapted for the small screen by Gregory Burke (´71, Six Four) and produced by Eleventh Hour Films for Nordic streamer Viaplay, the six-part series will air on the U.K. public broadcaster’s flagship network BBC One, BBC Scotland and streamer BBC iPlayer this spring.
Rebus has been seen on the screen and stage before. An ITV series ran for four seasons from 2000 until 2007. The fictional inspector has also been featured in radio and theater adaptations.
The show features a younger, and recently divorced and demoted, protagonist. Set in Edinburgh, it “reimagines John Rebus as a younger Detective Sergeant drawn into a violent criminal conflict that turns personal when his brother Michael, a former soldier, crosses the line into criminality,...

The Bold and the Beautiful writers paired Hope (Annika Noelle) with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), and things appear shaky at best.
He’s loved Hope for years, and now that they are co-parents to Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) and she’s no longer married to Liam (Scott Clifton), he swooped right in.
Thomas proposed to Hope, and while she didn’t say no, she said, “Not right now.”
However, despite learning the truth about what happened between Thomas and Emma (Nia Sioux), Hope wants to explore things between them.
The couple has a huge fan base, with many interested in the fresh dynamic that does not involve a fight with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) over Liam.
It seems Annika Noelle also sees things possibly working out for the couple.

Over the last seven years, Catalonia has built a thriving film industry which has been the envy of other regions across Europe, boasting a thriving co-production scene, a burgeoning animation industry, a 2022 Berlin Golden Bear with Clara Simon’s “Alcarrás,” and a bevy of prizes at 2023’s Berlinale, thanks to “20,000 Species of Bees.”
Catalonia even brought down the flag with Simon’s “Summer 1993,” a 2017 Berlin Best First Feature Film winner, on what could be hailed as a first film movement in Spain in decades: Fiction films grounded in a large sense upon a specific place, but talking about big social or gender issues.
Now Catalonia is attempting to achieve the same impact with its TV industry. Its early results led by “This Is Not Sweden,” will play out at Content Americas and most especially Sweden Göteborg Festival’s TV strand, TV Drama Vision.

British investigation dramas are one of a kind. Every single story in this genre is executed in a different manner, which leaves the audience surprised in most cases. Broadchurch, Sherlock, Midsomer Murders, Happy Valley, and Bodyguard are some of the prime examples of how good the shows can get if a lot of time is invested in a good screenplay and casting the right actors. Mostly, it is the BBC that is churning out great television in this genre. Adding to the list is Annika, created by Nick Walker. This limited series is a Scottish police drama about a new branch of the investigation team and their attempts to get grips with new assignments.

If you have to admire commitment – and you do – then you have to admire Wolf, a new BBC detective series from the producers of Sherlock, adapted from the seventh book in Mo Hayder’s Jack Caffery novels. From its traumatised detective to its scenery-chewing baddies, Wolf is fully committed to the pulp crime genre. Don’t go in expecting realism. You won’t find it.
You will find Ukweli Roach as Jack Caffery, a London Di settling in back home after a few years working in Wales. Roach makes a plausible enough lead, and a useful straight man to counter the madness elsewhere. Not that Caffery doesn’t come with his own slice of that.
Caffery’s regulation-issue TV detective Unresolved Trauma is the childhood disappearance of his brother. After a sibling spat, 10-year-old Ewan ran off, never to be seen again. Jack’s convinced that their paedophile neighbour abducted him,...

It's always so lovely to chat with Andrea Brooks, who is best known for her role as Faith in Hallmark's When Calls the Heart, and she took time out of her schedule to visit with TV Fanatic about her new movie.
While we did chat about the series, which will be coming in a later article, she was on the promotion circuit talking about Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, A Lifelong Love.
In the movie, Andrea plays Annika, an aspiring poet who is thrown together with her ex Ryan (Patch May), to document her grandfather's journey to find a long-lost love, and, of course, she and Ryan discover their own past sparks reigniting in the process.
As a Canadian actress, Andrea is not a part of the SAG-AFTRA union and is not on strike, but out of respect for her support of her US counterparts, I wanted to make note of the interview's timing.

But knowing this is the last season premiere is a tough pill to swallow.
But fear not, Grown-ish fanatics, the beloved series is going out in style!
And we have a sneak peek from the upcoming premiere, which has a Very interesting call between Junior and Annika.
Following along with Junior's college adventures has been amazing, and he'll be back this season one year wiser and continuing to relish in the whirlwind adventure that is college life, which includes his relationship with Annika.
One of the biggest parts of the college experience is dating, and all that entails.
And as you'll see in this exclusive clip, Junior finds himself on the receiving end of an invitation from Annika that leaves him a little rattled.

Matt Reeves' 2022 film "The Batman" featured the title character in yet another rebooted continuity, this time even darker and grittier than ever before. Batman (Robert Pattinson) was seen as a pale-skinned, stoic outsider, rarely making public appearances as Bruce Wayne, preferring to use his fists to ignite fear in the hearts of the criminal underground. He didn't smile and seemed incapable of experiencing happiness. The Riddler (Paul Dano) was reimagined to resemble the real-life Zodiac Killer, and murdered people on the regular. Gotham City was more corrupt than ever, and it is tantalizingly suggested at one point that Bruce Wayne's late father might have opened the door for massive corruption to leak into the city's legislature. Sadly, that moment is walked back.

Bjorklund died Sunday in Phoenix from sepsis after undergoing a kidney transplant, her friend Diane Hamilton announced. She had been on a transplant waiting list for years.

Born in Mineola, New York, on July 8, 1955, Bjorklund graduated from Dartmouth College in 1977 and began her career at game show giant Goodson-Todman Productions before starting on Family Feud in 1982.

Last year’s Scream delivered a “requel” that introduced a new generation of killers and survivors while celebrating Wes Craven and the franchise’s legacy. Much like Scream 2, Scream VI arrives a full year later and expands upon its characters and themes in thrilling ways as the surviving Woodsboro players relocate to college in NYC.
With introductions now in the rearview, this slasher sequel lets a ruthless Ghostface loose in the city, slicing up an intense, flawless entry that continues the streak of insightful introspection while escalating the thrills, kills, humor, and heart to a breathless degree.
It’s only been a year since Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera), Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega), Mindy Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown), and Chad Meeks-Martin (Mason Gooding) survived their near-fatal encounter with Ghostface. Sam struggles with the lingering trauma and paranoia, not to mention her potential for inherited madness, while the remaining Woodsboro survivors attempt to return to normality.

Exclusive: Game of Thrones alumna Kate Dickie quietly joined the Season 2 cast of Disney+ series Loki, sources tell Deadline.
Starring Tom Hiddleston, Loki is set in a Marvel Cinematic Universe-adjacent world, in which the God of Mischief is a fish-out-of-water when he lands in trouble with the bureaucratic Tva (Time Variance Authority) after absconding with the Tesseract.
Details about Dickie’s character are being kept under wraps but I hear she is playing a villain. Production on Season 2 of the breakout hit series has been completed.
Loki Season 2 cast also includes Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong and Rafael Casal.
Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead direct and executive produce Season 2. Eric Martin is head writer and executive produces, along with Hiddleston and Michael Waldron.
Scottish actor Dickie is known for her roles as Lysa Arryn in Game of Thrones and Lex in BBC’s Tinsel Town.

This is not a happy hump day for Zoey Johnson. Freeform on Wednesday released the trailer for grown-ish‘s upcoming fifth season, which welcomes Junior (black-ish‘s Marcus Scribner) to Cal U as a full-time student — and a full-time problem for Zoey.
