The winner of "Survivor" Tocantins edition has been determined and he spared sometime to comment on the final tribal council. Jt aka James Thomas Jr. received unanimous votes, the second in the show's history after Earl Cole in "Survivor: Fiji". He also brought home an additional $100,000 for being a fan favorite.
Sitting down with the runner up Stephen Fishbach, he made commentaries regarding his feeling when the votes from Coach, Brendan, Taj, Erinn, Debbie, Sierra and Tyson were cast. Jt thought that the voting would go as follow: Stephen at least got votes from Taj, Erinn as well as Tyson and he from Coach, Debbie and Brendan. Then Sierra's vote will be the determining factor. Stephen agreed to this.
Also, Stephen said that he heard of people's reaction of the final tribal council from the back stage of the New York reunion. "Whenever Jt said something they would applaud...

Aw. Taj rendezvoused with her hubby in exile. Stephen and his brother shared one of their warmest hugs ever. Coach had his back cracked by his assistant coach. The happy tears flowed like wine on day 31 as the six remaining members of Survivor: Tocantins' Forza tribe bid big money on French fries, nachos and chicken hearts and then were treated to visits from loved ones. Well, at least they got that all that love out of their systems early on. Apparently not that moved by her familial sentiment, Coach urged for Taj's dismissal after saying she and Erinn should be "cut off at the kneecaps" for not joining his crusade against Sierra last week. Sierra was voted off anyway, but that's...

Pre-credit sequence. We're down to the Final Six, as they return to Forza camp. Jt is glad that the drama is gone, or at least the drama in cute little Sierra form. Little does he know that Coach is outraged that Erinn and Taj voted randomly at Tribal Council. He's ready to bring the Warrior Alliance, the alliance that stabbed Tyson in the back, back into play, reiterating, "There's a reason why we have a name." Coach is really hung up on naming things, isn't he? But I guess that's to be expected from a middle-aged man named "Coach." He's proud...

Survivor's Sierra Reed lasted one Tribal Council longer than anyone expected after her failed attempt to blindside Benjamin "Coach" Wade, but on Thursday's episode she came to her inevitable end. She talked to us about waiting out the game with her No. 1 critic, Tyson Apostol, once they were both voted off, and her dynamic with Coach. The 23-year-old model and jewelry designer now hopes to host a travel show — and will take some cues from Survivor host Jeff Probst: "Look out, Jeff!" she jokes. "Or help me out."

It was a night filled with deception as Coach and Debbie tried to pull Sierra back into an alliance with them -- and then lied about it when confronted by Jt and Stephen. But when Coach won immunity, he was safe for another week -- and Sierra found herself on the chopping block. The Insider: Why was everyone so hard on you? Sierra Reed: That is the million-dollar question, is it not? From the beginning, I set a certain tone that put a target on my back. I think females in this game are easily disposable unless they ban together, especially younger ones. I think I did well in challenges surprisingly, so it made me a threat to people like Stephen or Coach who couldn't keep up with me. I think at the moment that Brendan went home and a lot of them found out that the reason I didn't come up to them,...

Pre-credit sequence. Heading back to Forza after the latest Tribal Council blindside, Sierra is grateful, very. Very, very grateful. She figures she just witnessed a miracle. The actual miracle workers (No, not Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan), Stephen and Jt, are trying to smooth things over with Debbie and Coach, who were nearly as blindsided as Tyson. Both Coach and Debbie nod and agree that they're glad they didn't know in advance. Because being in the loop is such a drag. Stephen isn't displeased that Coach and Debbie are being diplomatic, but part of him would prefer that they be...

With Tyson Apostol's demotion to the Survivor: Tocantins jury last week, Benjamin "Coach" Wade was left holding the flimsy strands of his gossamer alliance, which couldn't withstand a major blindside or even make anybody cry (besides Sierra Reed, the scourge of everything). At first the aggressively philosophical Coach moped—but then he realized he had to get with the program because he's been nothing but talk (and talk, and talk…). So he went out and won himself some immunity. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on what tickles your funny bone), that rendered moot all his efforts to make Sierra see the error of her dragon-bowel ways and attempts to curry favor with the...

It was a Tribal Council shocker when the "warrior" alliance was broken on last week's "Survivor: Tocantins." Now, Et talks to Tyson Apostol, a 30-year-old from Lindon, Utah, who was blindsided by the vote. It was Jt and Stephen who stealthily reorganized the vote -- even openly lying -- to eliminate Tyson, who had lost the Immunity Challenge for the first time in two weeks, finally leaving him vulnerable. Et: Why do you think they voted you off? It was a total blindside. Tyson Apostol: They voted me off because I was too awesome. Et: No modesty? Tyson Apostol: There doesn't need to be. I guess I could pretend like that wasn't the reason, but I was too threatening to everyone. Et: It was the first Immunity Challenge you had lost in a couple of weeks. It may have been their only chance to vote you off. Tyson Apostol...

Survivor's Tyson Apostol, a 30-year-old from Lindon, Utah, looked like a front-runner in the game until two of his alliance-mates, J.T. and Stephen, joined in the 5-to-3 vote to send him home. The admittedly arrogant professional cyclist talked with us about his harsh advice for Sierra, who survived thanks to his dismissal — and also campaigned for a job on The View. Tyson Apostol has become the latest contestant to be voted off Survivor after a dramatic Tribal Council. Sierra Reed presumed it would be her turn to leave the show, following the departure of her ally Brendan Synnott last week, but Tyson was blind-sided by his rivals at the Council vote. Tyson had mocked Sierra's plight during the episode, telling the camera's: "I like to see Sierra scramble and mope. I've never liked Sierra. "To me she has zero worth. I mean, I guess her parents probably love her." Later in the show, he added: "Tonight's tribal council is going to be awesome. I'm hoping that Sierra will cry a lot." This week's immunity challenge involved a shuffleboard game, but contestants could choose not to play and eat pizza's for the duration if they were willing to be (more)...

Now where have we seen extraordinarily sinewy people practicing capoeira before? Tonight's reward on Survivor: Tocantins was a day trip for Erinn Lobdell, J.T. Thomas, Debbie Beebe and Tyson Apostol that included the requisite feast and a chance to dabble in the aforementioned acrobatic Brazilian martial art form—which coincidentally also factored into the first challenge on America's Next Top Model last night. Thursday night's "Survivor: Tocantins" was jam-packed with extreme highs and extreme lows, on an episode where the next castoff appeared to be a foregone conclusion. With her only ally, Brendan, blindsided last week, Sierra found herself having to beg for her tribemates' mercy. At the beginning of the episode, she told them: "Obviously I know I'm the next one to go so let's just try to make these next couple of days congenial, I guess." "I like to see Sierra scramble and mope," Tyson told the camera. "I've never liked Sierra," he said. "To me she has zero worth. I mean, I guess her parents probably love her." For his part, Coach spent some time basking in the glory of orchestrating Brendan's ouster. Continuing to dub himself "the dragon slayer," Coach told the camera, "The dragon slayer has vanquished the dragon once and for all," pausing the yell for dramatic effect before continuing,...

Brendan Synnott has to turn back home from Brazil where he was voted out of the tribal of "Survivor" Tocantins edition. Four out of eight of his tribal mates chose him to leave, which is a close call to Sierra who received three.

It was anyone's guess which way the wind would blow throughout Thursday's episode of "Survivor: Tocantins." Heading one camp was Coach, who had planned Brendan's ouster in last week's episode but was foiled when Tribal Council was canceled after Joe was sent home due to injury. Meanwhile, Brendan tried to amass his own troops. To open Thursday's show, the new Forza tribe sat around the fire, while Coach regaled them with tales of a deadly Amazonian adventure. According to Coach, he was captured by a band of indigenous people, tied up and beaten, after being dropped by a military helicopter into the jungle. He said he knew there would be trouble when, after feeling like he was being watched, he looked up and saw several people watching him. He told his tribemates: "They were probably four-and-a-half feet tall and they've got their bows and arrows drawn." He said that...

It was the third straight week that the Jalapao Tribe lost the Immunity Challenge on "Survivor: Tocantins -- The Brazilian Highlands" and had to face host Jeff Probst at Tribal Council. There was a lot of negotiating behind the scenes as to who would go home: Was it going to be Tamara “Taj” Johnson-George, who had the Immunity Idol, or would it be Sydney Wheeler? When the vote was counted, Taj's alliances held and 24-year-old Sydney, who lives in San Diego, Calif., was cast out of the Highlands. Et: Were you blindsided by the vote? I was. Sydney Wheeler: I knew it was coming, unfortunately. I had the feeling that something was going on, so I pulled Jt aside about an hour before Tribal Council. He told me that it was between Taj and me, and it was leaning toward me because Taj has a little more pull with the other tribe.

Spoiler alert: Read to find out what happened on Thursday night's "Survivor." This week's episode of the CBS hit opened with the Timbira tribemates turning a pot of beans into a hill of beans. When Coach decided the beans needed to cook longer, he threw in some river water to "soften them up," raising the ire of his tribemates who knew that the "dirty river water" would need to be boiled in order to be edible. Unfortunately, a rainstorm followed, causing the beans to take longer to cook, and by the time they were done, they were burned on the bottom. Brendan called it "another one of those Coach moments" while Sierra said, "There's just a part of me that finally had just had it." Jalapao took the concept of fighting tooth and nail to another level on tonight's Survivor: Tocantins. Alas, J.T. Thomas' offering to the dental gods couldn't secure a victory for his tribe, and Timbira, while not one for reward challenges, got to skip Tribal Council for the second week in a row. Will Jalapaoans Taj Johnson-George and Stephen Fishbach and Timbirans Brendan Synnott and Sierra Reed get a chance to put their fourway super-alliance into action, or did those ties start unraveling Thursday as Taj's time spent in exile took center stage when it came time for Jalapao to assess its strengths? We had become so used to Timbira's losing ways and Coach's self-serving motivational speeches that we weren't prepared for Jalapao to lose a step on Survivor: Tocantins. Well, not at first. But because Exile Island regular Taj Johnson-George is so physically dominant and was the last one standing during tonight's weight-bearing Reward Challenge, she indirectly helped her tribe acquire the ammo that led to the latest elimination. Through two weeks on "Survivor: Tocantins," the eliminations have followed a very simple pattern: It's bad to be weak or old or sickly or have a name starting with "S," but it's worse to be an opinionated woman with an ample bosom and a name starting with "C." Good for Sandy and Sierra. Bad for Carolina and Candace. Would the pattern continue on Thursday (Feb. 26) night's "Survivor: Tocantins" episode? Pre-credit sequence. What one word comes to mind about this episode of Survivor: Tonkatoys? Hmmm ... .oh, yeah! B-o-o-ring! The only thing saving it from a down arrow was a bromance in the works (more on that later) and the fact that the Brazilian heat has all the guys stripping down to their skivvies.

We start off with the Jalapenos trudging back to camp after voting off Girl Gone Too Soon To Name last week. In infrared we witness Crazy Lady Sandy running around hugging and kissing everyone as she thanks them for not voting her shrieking self off instead. Given that the night camera makes it look like she's sporting a scary ass mustache, I'm thinking she'd be better off just shaking hands.
On a side-note, I've always been creeped out by how everyone's eyes look in the nighttime shots on Survivor. Now they remind of the dead-eyed parents in Coraline.

Whew! Even we were tired after watching Jalapao and Timbira battle it out for immunity and fishing gear in a game of river basketball, which resembled the mud-wrestling scene in Stripes more than anything else, Thursday on Survivor: Tocantins. While there will be no fully-realized lesbians when Survivor's 19th season kicks off in February, there are among the contestants a lot of self-professed "tomboys" and "former softball players." Or, as I like to call them, "gateway labels."

The audition is over and the new season of "Survivor" is ready to get a kick start. The 16 castaways that will participate in the Tocantins edition of the reality game, have been announced. The line-up includes among others, models, a Grammy Awards nominee and a 19-year-old.
Sydney Wheeler (24), Sierra Reed (23) and Candace Smith (31) are models that will serve the women power. Tamara 'Taj' Johnson-George (37) meanwhile was one third of singing group Swv that grabbed a nomination at the Grammys and who was the star of reality show "I Married a Baller" in 2007. Also, if "Survivor: Gabon" had the oldest contestant, the Tocantins finds the youngest one in college student Spencer Duhm (19).
As usual the castaways will be exiled for 39 days in a remote area, building strategy and surviving the nature. This time the location takes place on a "rugged" highland of Brazil, Tocantins, where there are plenty of rivers but the temperatures can be unforgiving.
