Unfortunately for the people of Abuddin, it's not always the better angels of a leader's nature that win out.
Of course, Barry's angels are arguing against some pretty insistent voices on Tyrant Season 3 Episode 8. Molly may look all better to the casual observer, but it's all just a facade.
And it doesn't help that military advisor General Maloof is blood thirsty and power hungry.

What exactly was the tipping point for the interim president? His tenure started out with so much optimism, basically channeling Mandela. Was Emma's death alone what caused him to change course?
Molly's reappearance pushed him over the edge and into the abyss. His guilt isn't just over Emma, although that's certainly a huge component. But his guilt over the affair with Daliyah (and likely his abandonment of the family in Tyrant Season 2) had just as big of an impact. Maybe even more.

This is starting to be down right Shakespearean.
Molly roamed the palace doing her best impression of Ophelia on Tyrant Season 3 Episode 4, while Leila revealed that Jamal wasn't Ahmed's real father, but rather his uncle.
Sammy went looking for love in all the wrong places, and Barry was too busy planning revenge to deal with his family.

And as often happens in Shakespeare, vengeance doesn't lead to anything good. Mainly, it ends with everybody dying. And the Al Fayeed clan is already half gone. I wasn't too worried about Molly even before I saw the previews – the deaths have to slow down or there won't be any characters left.
Jennifer Finnigan did an amazing job of portraying a mother's grief. Where a great performance can sometimes be credited equally to the writing team, or the director, this was all her. The most powerful moments weren't because of her lines,...

The Task
Stars: Texas Battle, Alexandra Staden, Adam Raynor, Victor McGuire | Written by Kenny Yakkel | Directed by Alex Orwell
Remember the remake of House on Haunted Hill and its sequel the truly horrible Return to the House on Haunted Hill? It’s a well worked out structure for a movie and it’ll work again right? That seems to be the concept of The Task.
Six young students are kidnapped off the streets and dumped outside of an abandoned prison where they are reminded that they all applied to be in a new reality show. Congratulating them the makers then proceed lock them in the prison telling them that they will have to all do tasks to escape and be the victor of the show. The twist of course for them is the prison is said to be haunted by a warden who sadistically used to torture his inmates and...

The movie trailer for the upcoming horror film from After Dark Originals called "The Task" has been released and we have it for you to view below. You can see it below the creepy international one-sheet poster and synopsis below below.
Not sure what I think about the flick so far, but I'm hoping it is better than the trailer suggests. Not a terrible concept, but one that feels a bit over done to me. I mean, didn't we kind of see this idea in one of the Halloween sequels? Maybe I'm just burnt out on all things "reality show".
The Task was written by Kenny Yakkel, directed by Simon Fellows (Malice in Wonderland, Blessed) and stars Texas Battle (Dixon), Alexandra Staden (Connie), Adam Raynor (Taylor). Enjoy.
