Paramount+ is breaking up with two recent additions to its roster by canceling the Kiefer Sutherland spy drama Rabbit Hole and Fatal Attraction, starring Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan. Paramount+ is in slash-and-burn mode, with the company removing titles as a cost-cutting measure.
“We want to thank both series’ entire creative teams, crews and the fantastic casts for their dedication to bringing these series to life,” said the Paramount+ spokesperson. “Both Fatal Attraction and Rabbit Hole will continue to be available on Paramount+ for audiences to discover.”
Rabbit Hole and Fatal Attraction join Paramount‘s other canceled series, including Real World: Homecoming, The Twilight Zone, Interrogation, Coyote, No Activity, Guilty Party, and The Harper House. More cancelations hit the streaming service in June, with Star Trek: Prodigy, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Queen of the Universe, and The Game going the way of the dodo. While exploring Alex Forrest’s character, we found that childhood trauma can impact a person severely as they grow up, leaving them permanently scarred. Usually, abusive and manipulative parents give rise to children who are ill-adjusted to society and carry around their baggage of trauma, even if they don’t turn into deranged killers like Alex in Paramount’s Fatal Attraction. We might understand where Alex’s issues stem from a manipulative father, and a hateful mother makes for a pretty messed-up childhood that only worsens with age. However, what then can be said for Ellen Gallagher, who knew nothing but love from both her parents until her father was jailed? Why did Ellen turn out the way she did at the end of Season 1 of Fatal Attraction? Let’s try to look at what went wrong with the youngest Gallagher and how.
As a child, Ellen found love everywhere she went.

Nina Simone — the legendary singer and activist whose artistry took her around the globe — grew up in a modest, three-room clapboard home in Tryon, North Carolina.
In 2017, after years of vacancy and decay, four Black artists, conceptual artist Adam Pendleton, sculptor and painter Rashid Johnson, collagist and filmmaker Ellen Gallagher, and abstract artist Julie Mehretu, joined forces to purchase Simone’s childhood home for $95,000 to save it from demolition. It has since been declared a national treasure by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and is now the focus of a benefit auction led by Pace Gallery.
The Nina Simone Childhood Home Benefit Auction will feature 11 contemporary artworks and benefit the Nina Simone Childhood Home preservation project spearheaded by the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The auction will be co-curated by Pendleton and tennis champion, entrepreneur and arts patron Venus Williams.

You don’t want to ignore the new trailer for Fatal Attraction, the upcoming eight-episode adaptation of the classic 1987 movie coming to Paramount+.
The Fatal Attraction series stars Lizzy Caplan as Alex Forrest, a woman who forms a deep connection with Dan Gallagher (Joshua Jackson) during a one-night stand, but when Dan decides to end the affair, Alex has trouble letting go. The series is based on the 1987 film of the same name starring Michael Douglas and Glenn Close. Writer/executive producer Alexandra Cunningham teased that while there will be similarities with the movie, it will explore different facets. “The screenwriter of the film, James Dearden said, to him the character of Alex Forrest is not a study in madness, but rather a sad, tragic, lonely woman under pressure from a really hard job,” Cunningham said. “As a frequently sad, not at all tragic, and not as lonely as I...

The official trailer for Paramount+’s Fatal Attraction (the series inspired by the film) begins with the man at the heart of the love triangle attending a parole hearing after serving time for second-degree murder. He addresses a panel of judges and explains he’s been fixated on discovering why he did what he did and why Alexandra Forrest died.
Additional scenes show what Daniel thought was going to be just a one-night stand transitioning into something much more dangerous. Brief clips show Alexandra pursuing Daniel, and even showing up at his home. The trailer ends with Daniel proclaiming his innocence and swearing he’s going to prove he’s not a murderer.
