When director Abhishek Sharma began penning a spin-off to his 2010 surprise hit, Tere Bin Laden, alongside his onscreen Osama bin Laden, played by actor Pradhuman Singh, the writer-director started scouting for the perfect actor to play the character of American President, Barack Obama. He instantly knew he had found his man when he came across a video titled ‘President Obama on Death of Osama bin Laden’, which features American rapper-comedian, Iman Crosson, known for satirising the President’s speeches through rap.
“My team got in touch with Iman who’s based in Los Angeles. He flew down to Mumbai and we shot with him on a large set of Abbottabad, recreating the speech and the rap,” said the director Abhishek.
Iman has been invited to the White House on two occasions and has duly impressed the President with his impersonations. In fact, Obama calls him his ‘best mimic’. To top that,...

In a land overrun by ruthless creatures that hunt by sound, even the faintest whimper can lead to your death in Tim Lebbon's The Silence, a new horror novel hitting shelves later this month. Titan Books has provided us with an exclusive excerpt from Lebbon's latest to share with Daily Dead readers, and we also have a look at two recent 31 images revealed by Rob Zombie, as well as details on the zombie series, Fight of the Living Dead, which is now available to watch in its entirety on BlackBoxTV.
Tim Lebbon's The Silence: "In the darkness of a underground cave system, blind creatures hunt by sound. Then there is light, there are voices, and they feed... Swarming from their prison, the creatures thrive and destroy. To scream, even to whisper, is to summon death. As the hordes lay waste to Europe, a girl watches to see if they will cross the sea.

Justine Ezarik rose to Internet fame thanks to her everyday charm as YouTube's iJustine, but there is absolutely nothing mundane about her latest project, Fight of the Living Dead.
As the series's title suggests, it's a zombie show – but not just any zombie show.
Fight thrusts Ezarik and several other YouTubers – including Joey Graceffa, Strawburry17 (Meghan Camarena), Alphacat (Iman Crosson), PrankvsPrank (Jesse and Jeanna) and Olga Kay – into a simulated post-apocalyptic world where they battle an onslaught of the undead to find the cure that will save mankind.

The Walt Disney Company is working hard to welcome Maker Studios (which it acquired in March 2014 for $500 to $950 million) into the Disney family. The two brands partnered to host the #DisneySide All-Star Creator Conference, which took place January 15-18, 2015 at Walt Disney World Resort.
Disney and Maker’s Creator Conference was developed to help inspire and grow the careers of Maker’s 55,000+ content partners as part of the Disney Side initiative. As the event title indicates, the conference boasted seminars, discussions, and presentations about how to succeed online from Maker digital stars such as ShayCarl, Stampylonghead, AlphaCat, Charisma Star, and Nice Peter and EpicLLYOD of Epic Rap Battles of History (a series which is currently on hiatus).
But the All-Star Creator Conference wasn’t limited to only Maker creators. Back in the fall of 2014, Disney invited would-be YouTube celebrities ages 18 and over to submit a video showing their #DisneySide for...

You may have already seen the cleverness that is Michelle Obama’s vegetable-themed Vine posted to the White House’s account on October 15, 2014. However, you may not have heard the story behind the First Lady’s amusing video snippet. On October 14, Obama participated in a Twitter session called #AskTheFirstLady. The YouTuber and Vine star Iman Crosson (known to online video fans as Alphacat and famous for his Barack Obama impersonations) posed an innuendo-laden question dressed as the President: “How many calories do you burn every time you ‘turn up’?!” The First Lady responded a day later with her now-viral Vine, holding a turnip and asking Alphacat, “Turnip for what?” She then proceeded to dance (with the vegetable still in hand) to DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What.” One reason why Obama could have responded directly to Crosson’s question is because she likely met him earlier this year.

Lil Jon’s powerhouse hit is getting some serious White House play these days. Just ask First Lady Michelle Obama, who used “Turn Down for What” during an #AskTheFirstLady Vine segment. DJ Snake and Lil Jon have some serious competition from Michelle Obama...and a turnip?! Yep. On Tuesday, the White House posted a 6-second Vine of the first lady dancing—root vegetable in hand—to the tune of "Turn Down for What." Without missing a beat (or a beet!), Mrs. Obama says to the camera, "Turnip for what?" So why exactly was the 50-year-old mother of two getting her groove on with a radish relative? Well, Iman Crosson (aka Alphacat) is well-known for his impersonations of President Barack Obama. On Tuesday, he posted an #AskTheFirstLady Vine asking, in character as her hubby, "How many calories do you burn every time you 'turn up'?" Mrs. Obama, whose...

Wearing tinted goggles and placed in a prison, the nine real-life YouTube personalities don’t know what’s going to happen next. But when they take off their goggles, they might wish they never had, as they face a simulated zombie apocalypse in the competition/reality mash-up series from Alpine Labs, Fight of the Living Dead, which has just been acquired by Cinedigm for their streaming network, ‘Con TV.

Crosson got to perform his Obama impression for a grinning commander-in-chief. "Are you getting this?" Obama asked the cameraman, referring to Crosson's uncanny impression. On Thursday, February 27, a delegation of YouTube stars and digital influencers visited the White House to have a candid conversation with President Obama about how he and his office can do a better job of communicating with younger Americans by way of online video. As we noted when we broke the news, the goal of the attendees was that this brain trust can advise Obama and all future Potuses on a number of issues - like anti-bullying, education, and economic opportunity - facing many registrations to come, but the first and most pressing of those issues is the Affordable Care Act and the impending March 31, 2014 deadline for Open Enrollment. Obama asked the attendees if they could all let their fans know how to obtain information about health care enrollment with the hope that by doing so, more Americans would at least have a great knowledge of and access to their health care options.

President Barack Obama can now count a handful of YouTube stars among his top advisors. On Thursday, February 27, 2014, Hannah Hart of My Drunk Kitchen and Camp Takota; Tyler Oakley of being awesome on the internet; Iman Crosson, who the online video and Vine worlds know as Alphacat; Michael Stevens of VSauce; Benny and Rafi Fine of The Fine Bros. Before he was getting featured on television talk shows, starring in a new movie, and rubbing elbows in Washington, D.C. with the Vice President of the United States, actor-model-singer-hip-hop-dancer-Obama-impressionist Iman Crosson (a.k.a. Alphacat) was this: So what can we learn from a waiter-slash-Barack Obama impersonator who used YouTube to kick-start his career? When life gives you lemons, make videos. Back in July 2008, Crosson was so stressed out about money that he was almost hit by a truck while crossing the street on his way to work. He was so depressed that just as the truck was about to crush him into a gooey little Salisbury steak he thought, “Well, at least I wouldn’t have to worry about money anymore.” Peeps, the guys who guard the frozen borders of North Korea have a happier outlook than that! Worse yet, people at the Blue Water Grill (where...

Iman Crosson, also known as Alphacat on YouTube, does one of our favorite Barack Obama impersonations, and he's finally back with a spoof on Jay-z's "99 Problems." Crosson's version, which seems so inevitable we were shocked it didn't already exist, makes one, overwhelming point: the president has "99 Problems, But Mitt Ain't One."
In the video, Obama takes on his detractors, the media and the presumptive Republican nominee while spitting out rhymes and looking pretty tough in the process. Between Crosson's impressions, Key & Peele's "anger translator" and BaracksDubs mashups, the viral video world may be having more of an impact on the president's favorability than we know.

It’s Thursday and as we reported earlier, Fred’s new show Figgle Chat is up and officially live on YouTube today. The first episode of the weekly 3-minute talk show features our favorite Barack Obama impersonator Alphacat (Iman Crosson) as the first guest in the kitschy basement set with Fred (Lucas Cruikshank). “We’re shooting the show in his basement which is kinda weird but Rob [the show's producer] said that’s where all good talk shows start,” said Fred about the modest premiere.
