Fans were so happy to see a fun and lighthearted side to Phaedra and hoped she would return to their Bravo screens. It has been a hard year for Andy Cohen and Bravo. After Rhugt Morocco went down in flames, things seemingly went downhill. It was alleged that production encouraged bad behavior by the cast. The executive producer for Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip is responding to Caroline Manzo‘s lawsuit.
Back in January, Caroline, 62, filed a lawsuit against Bravo, Peacock, NBCUniversal and Shed Media – the producers behind Rhugt – claiming that Brandi Glanville sexually harassed her when they filmed season four in Morocco in 2022.
In the court documents obtained by People, Caroline claimed that production “regularly ply the Real Housewives cast with alcohol, cause them to become severely intoxicated, and then direct, encourage and/or allow them to sexually harass other cast members because that is good for ratings.”
During filming, Caroline claims that Brandi, 51, forced herself on her and kissed her without consent.
Brandi allegedly “then proceeded to mount Manzo on the couch holding Manzo down with her body, forcibly squeezed Manzo’s cheeks together and thrust her tongue in Manzo’s mouth, while humping her.”

There was much excitement when news broke that Taylor Armstrong would be the first Real Housewife to switch shows.
Armstrong was coming off a highly-praised return to reality TV with a stint on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 2.
There were immediate alarm bells when Bravo revealed she would be serving as a friend of the housewives on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Given that she was part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ glory years, she had seniority with the franchise that many of Rhoc’s cast never had.
Honestly, Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter have been turning in storylines that should have found them demoted to friends for many years, so it would have been better to kick things off with Armstrong as a full-fledged housewife.
Happiness looked good on Armstrong, and she exceeded expectations throughout the season, thanks to her connections with some of the cast members,...

The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip was a breath of fresh air for Real Housewives fans when it touched down on Peacock, but it’s becoming one of NBCUniversal’s biggest nightmares.
Rhugt Morocco — set to air last year on Peacock — has been sitting on the shelf for over a year because the season was embroiled in controversy.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Caroline Manzo recently sued Bravo and other companies associated with making the series after claiming she was sexually harassed and assaulted by Brandi Glanville.

“It was quite the experience, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s going to air anytime soon,” Rossi recently dished to the U.

Leah McSweeney, a former star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City, has taken legal action against producer Andy Cohen, Bravo and other entities, claiming to have been subject to a “rotted” workplace culture while she was on the show that perpetuated discrimination and harassment.
In a civil lawsuit filed in New York, McSweeney alleged that Cohen, Bravo, NBC, production company Shed Media and producers John Paparazzo, Lisa Shannon and Darren Ward subjected her to discriminatory treatment and retaliation based on her status as a woman with disabilities, which included alcohol use disorder and various mental health disorders, all to generate drama for the show.
McSweeney asserts that the toxic work environment encouraged employees to consume alcohol and retaliated against her when she tried to maintain sobriety. The lawsuit further claims that producers intentionally orchestrated situations to exacerbate McSweeney’s disabilities, solely to create sensationalized reality television.

The legal complaints targeting Andy Cohen and his Real Housewives franchise are expanding this week, with former cast member Leah McSweeney’s lawsuit alleging drug-related favoritism and a conspiracy to prey on her alcoholism to boost the show’s ratings.
McSweeney, 41, filed the suit on Tuesday, naming the franchise kingpin, Bravo, NBC/Universal, production house Shed Media US, and producers John Paparazzo, Lisa Shannon and Darren Ward. The suit obtained by The Hollywood Reporter alleges that, while aware of the designer’s issues with alcohol and fragile mental health, producers allegedly coerced and coaxed her into drinking alcohol while shooting two seasons of Rhony and one season of a spinoff show. “NBC continues to protect those in power,” Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos declared Friday in a response to an apology of sorts from the Watch What Happens Live host to the Real Housewives vet after Glanville publicly accused Cohen of sexually harassing her.
“Brian Roberts, it’s time to step in like you did with Andy Lack and Jeff Shell, and stop the cover-up and do the right thing,” the lawyers said. “Your legacy and decency demands it.”
The call-out out to the Comcast CEO is clearly meant to generate a top-level reaction and media spotlight. Also, invoking the names of the former NBC News chairman Lack, who had a scandal-riddled tenure until he was bounced in 2020, the scandalized former NBCUniversal CEO Shell, who exited in 2023 after an inappropriate relationship with a co-worker,...

Andy Cohen is wasting no time in responding after Brandi Glanville accused him of sexual harassment.
Glanville’s lawyers, Bryan J. Freedman and Mark Geragos sent a letter to NBCUniversal, Warner Bros, and Shed Media on Thursday, which found The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star accusing Cohen of sending an inappropriate recording.
The letter claimed Glanville had been “a victim of sexual harassment at Bravo by none other than Andy Cohen,” Page Six reports.
It went on to detail a video that was reportedly sent to Glanville in 2022, which featured an “obviously inebriated” Cohen telling her of “his intention to sleep with another Bravo star that night while thinking of her and invited her to watch via Facetime.”
Cohen shared his side of events on Thursday afternoon with a statement on X (formerly known as Twitter).
The Watch What Happens Live host said the video included Below Deck and The Traitors alum Kate Chastain.

Andy Cohen Responds to Brandi Glanville’s Accusations of Sexual Harassment: “She Was in on the Joke”
Andy Cohen responded to Brandi Glanville’s claims of sexual harassment, saying the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was “in on the joke” but that he was sorry for the “inappropriate” situation.
In a letter sent to NBC Universal, Warner Bros. and Shed Media on Thursday, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Glanville’s attorneys wrote that Cohen sent her a video in 2022, in which he appeared “obviously inebriated.”
The letter explains that Cohen reportedly “boasted” that he wanted to “sleep with another Bravo star” while “thinking” about Glanville, inviting her to watch him engage in the sexual act over FaceTime.
“Mr. Cohen was Ms. Glanville’s boss at the time and exercised complete and total control over her career,” the letter reads. “This was an extraordinary abuse of power that left Ms. Glanville feeling trapped and disgusted.”

Rita McKenzie, the actress and singer best known for her boisterous performances in the one-woman show Ethel Merman’s Broadway, died Saturday in Los Angeles after a long illness, her husband, talent agent Scott Stander, announced. She was 76.
McKenzie first starred on stage as the powerful Merman — star of such iconic Broadway hits as Anything Goes, Annie Get Your Gun, Gypsy and Hello, Dolly! — in New York in 1988.
Belting out tunes like “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “I Got Rhythm” and “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” McKenzie toured throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia in what many consider the longest-running one-woman show in theatrical history.
She also starred in parts that Merman made famous: Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes!, the gunslinger in a 50th anniversary tour of Annie Get Your Gun and Rose in Gypsy.

Caroline Manzo, who starred in the reality TV show Real Housewives of New Jersey and was a part of the reality event Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, has filed a lawsuit against Bravo network, alleging that they allowed her co-star Brandi Glanville to commit “acts of sexual harassment and assault” while filming.
Court documents from the case reveal that Manzo is suing because the network would “regularly ply the Real Housewives cast with alcohol, cause them to become severely intoxicated, and then direct, encourage and/or allow them to sexually harass other cast members because that is good for ratings.”
Glanville reportedly kissed Manzo several times without consent and the network did nothing about the issue.
In an interview with EW, Derek Smith, Manzo’s lawyer on the case, stated that “networks should always be concerned about the safety of their employees. The Housewives are not their pawns to abuse for ‘drama’ purposes.

Kandi Burruss is the hot topic this week after she dropped a shocker over the weekend and announced her exit from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
While on the Grammy’s red carpet, Kandi said it was time to take a break after 14 seasons on the show. The 47-year-old joined the Atlanta franchise in Season 2, and she left ahead of Season 16.
That now puts two OGs in the top spot for longest-running Bravo Housewives.
If you haven’t guessed yet, we’re talking about The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Guidice, and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Kyle Richards.
Say what you want about these controversial OGs, but whether you love them, or hate them, they have made their mark on their respective franchise.
The lives of both women have come full circle since we first met them years ago, and their exit would spell the end of an era.

Caroline Manzo has sued Bravo, alleging she was sexually abused and harassed by Brandi Glanville during the upcoming season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
In a lawsuit filed Friday in New York’s state Supreme Court, Manzo claims Glanville forcibly kissed her during filming and “groped, grabbed, and forcibly fondled [her] vagina and breasts.” She alleges producers were “listening to the interaction on audio” but “never opened the door or took any other action to intervene and stop the sexual assault.”
According to the complaint, Manzo, who was sexually assaulted at age 7, says she stated after the altercation, “I got abused,” and shared the details of the alleged assault with her husband, children and two production heads the following morning.
Bravo Media, Forest Productions, Warner Bros. Entertainment, NBCUniversal Media, Shed Media and Peacock are named as defendants in the complaint. Glanville was not sued, though she is described as an employee of the defendants.

Most of the lawsuit from Caroline Manzo claiming that her fellow Real Housewives star Brandi Glanville sexually assaulted her during the Morocco filming of Peacock‘s The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip can be summed up in an alleged outburst from the Rhobh alum: “Shut up! This is my vacation, Bitch. I’ll do what the fuck I want!”
The suit filed today in New York State court against Bravo, NBCUniversal, Warner Bros Entertainment, Peacock and others claims sexual harassment, sexual battery, discrimination and 14 more allegations. Manzo pulls the veil back on the already much-scandalized Ultimate Girls Trip and pours the tea on the booze, the lap dances, the bullying and the chaos that ensued in Marrakesh last year.
“Defendants allowed, condoned and even encouraged Ms. Glanville’s sexually aggressive and offensive conduct on others on the sets,” says Manzo’s 57-page complaint from NYC’s Derek Smith Law Group...

A cast member on an as-of-yet unaired season of “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” sued Bravo on Friday, alleging she was sexually harassed and assaulted by Brandi Glanville, a fellow cast member, during filming in Morocco.
Caroline Manzo, who previously appeared on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” alleges that Glanville forcibly kissed her and groped her vagina and breasts during taping of an episode.
The suit, filed in state court in New York, alleges that Bravo and other NBCUniversal entities knew of Glanville’s history of sexually harassing conduct, and yet hired her anyway because her behavior would be good for ratings.
“Defendants even encouraged Ms. Glanville to become drunk on the set so that she would be more likely to commit outrageous and harassing acts, thereby helping Defendants’ ratings without regard to the rights and safety of those around her,” the lawsuit states.

It’s now been over four years since Lisa Vanderpump departed “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and the chatter around her return reached a fevered pitch at BravoCon over the weekend when Andy Cohen named her as one of the three ex-Housewives he’d like to see return to the franchise. The cast of the current “Rhobh” — Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke, Crystal Kung Minkoff and Annemarie Wiley — were asked about a potential Vanderpump return during their panel on Sunday.

Andy Cohen says there are no plans to pull the fifth season of “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip,” despite reports suggesting the show — which was filmed in Morocco — would be shelved indefinitely.
“Morocco” was originally slated to be the fourth season of “Ultimate Girls Trip,” and a St. Bart’s trip, filmed after Morocco and titled “Rhony Legacy,” was supposed to be the fifth season.
But the shows have flipped spots on the release calendar, with “Rhony Legacy” coming out on Peacock in December and “Morocco” slated for 2024.

“We had two [shows] in the can and basically just decided to push ‘Rhony Legacy’ up because there was so much interest, and that’s the only thing that happened. ‘Rhony Legacy’ jumped that spot in line.”

The Real Housewives of New York City will have an all-new cast for the upcoming 14th season, but legacy stars Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan are back with a new spinoff, Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake, which premieres on Sunday, July 9, at 9/8c on Bravo.
