Frank Sweeney is volatile, sexy, a fierce competitor and– through one season of The Real World (San Diego, 2011) and three subsequent seasons of MTV’s The Challenge– he’s been absolutely riveting. Love him or hate him, he draws your attention.
Sweeney’s latest foray into reality TV, The Challenge: Free Agents, ended abruptly last week when he was kicked out of the game by host Tj Lavin because of viral pneumonia. Presumably, he posed a health threat to the other contestants.
Sweeney may or may not have been contagious, but he certainly posed a threat. A run of bad luck had him drawing successive “kill cards”, putting him into elimination challenges twice in a row. And yet he survived both matches. First besting Chet Cannon (who withdrew from their intense wrestling challenge after splitting his chin) and then, while very ill, pulling out a surprise wall-scaling win over Dustin Zito.

I can't be the only one Beyond excited for the new season of MTV's The Challenge. Not only is the cast for Battle of the Seasons insane, they are all relatively new to challenges. As much as I love seeing Johnny act like an asshole every year and Kenny make fun of all the girls for being on crazy pills, I'm ready for some new drama.
We do still have a few Challenge vets (Wes, Sarah, Alton, Dunbar, Trishelle, etc), but I think we've got a great mix of new and old. And let's face it, there are so many exes here, it's bound to get really crazy. Hell, Danny and Melinda used to be married!
Below, we give each of the castmembers a superlative based on the promo and things they've done in the past. We also predict who willl make it to the final challenge. Comment and let us know what you think!

It's that time again! As The Real World: St. Thomas winds down, it's time to get excited for yet another installment of The Challenge! And this time, MTV is going all out by pitting some of the craziest season casts against one another in The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons!
With $250,000 on the line, the cast heads to Turkey where they will compete with their former housemates and live in one of the craziest environments we've ever seen. As you will see in the promo, Danny and Melinda are now divorced and on the same team. We've got my personal fave exes Jemmye and Knight on the same team. We've got more hookups and fights than ever. It's just pure insanity.

The cast of The Challenge: Cutthroat can only imagine the challenge facing T.J. Lavin in the real world.
