Piers Morgan is being called out for hypocrisy over comments he made about boxer Anthony Joshua.
On Saturday (20 August), Joshua was defeated by Oleksandr Usyk in their world heavyweight title rematch in Saudi Arabia. After, he stormed out of the ring before returning to deliver a “bizarre” speech.
The world of sport and entertainment have been commenting on Joshua’s post-match behaviour.
Morgan wrote on Twitter after the match had ended: “Embarrassing antics at the end by Joshua. He was beaten by a superior fighter who put on a magnificent performance of highly-skilled, supremely resilient boxing.”
However, many are pointing out that Morgan did something similar in March 2021.
Morgan made headlines after he stormed off Good Morning Britain when co-star Alex Beresford condemned his comments about Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“He just did what you did tho???” one of Morgan’s followers wrote, with another adding: “Must...

Carl Froch may have quit boxing - but he seems willing to put himself back in harm's way by going on a few reality TV shows.
The 38-year-old announced his retirement from the ring on Tuesday (July 14) and told talkSPORT that he would be up for the challenge of some TV competitions, including I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.
Froch said: "I would do the jungle. I'd do cooking programmes. I would not do a dance show.
"I would not do Strictly Come Dancing. I don't care about the profile and how good it is, you would not get me dancing."
He added: "[I'd do] Splash!, following the gymnastics show I did, Tumble, I reckon I'd be quite confident doing few somersaults and back tumbles.
"But it's just landing on the water wrong - I don't like the sound of that."

What a time to be a boxing fan.
The sport has come on leaps and bounds over recent years and has reclaimed its slot in the mainstream consciousness. Where it should be.
Global interest and intrigue in the fights of today are reaching levels only seen in the classic days of Messrs Ali, Tyson, and the like. The fighters of today know how to market themselves as such to make them just as big, or arguably bigger than the stars of yesteryear.
This has been showcased to a tee in the most recent and perhaps the most talked about rivalry in the modern day history of the sport.
Next weekend we’ll be treated to the Mayweather vs Pacquiao bout which has been in the making for so many years now. It should be one hell of a fight and will finally show to us who...

Bobby Lockwood won 'Tumble' last night (13.09.14). The 'Wolfblood' actor was crowned champion of the BBC gymnastics competition after he battled Ian 'H' Watkins, Carl Froch, Amelle Berrabah, Sarah Harding and Lucy Mecklenburgh in the final. Speaking to host Alex Jones after his victory, Bobby said: ''After the week we have had we didn't even know if we would be able to perform so to actually win is mental.'' The six celebrity competed in a combined floor and double trapeze routine, as well as taking on The Vault, and while H topped the judge's leader board with a perfect score of 40, it...

Bobby Lockwood has been crowned the winner of Tumble.
The BBC One gymnastics competition drew to a close this evening (September 13) as Lockwood battled H, Carl Froch, Amelle Berrabah, Sarah Harding and Lucy Mecklenburgh for the title.
The final saw each of the six compete in a combined floor and double trapeze routine, as well as taking on The Vault.
H led the leaderboard after receiving a full 40 points for his superhero-themed floor routine. Girls Aloud star Harding was awarded an impressive 38 points, receiving strong comments for her highest-scored performance of the series. The pair were joined by actor Lockwood in the top three.
The winner was decided purely by viewer votes, as the judges' scores had no effect on the final result. Once each celebrity had completed The Vault, head judge Nadia Comăneci chose Froch's "different" approach as her favourite.
Speaking to host Alex Jones, a delighted Lockwood said:...

Tumble: BBC One, 6pm
It's the grand final of the BBC gymnastics contest, and the remaining contestants will be pulling out all the stops to impress the judges.
Sarah Harding, Amelle Berrabah and H from Steps are all among the finalists - will it be a popstar that takes the crown? Or will Bobby Lockwood, Carl Froch and Lucy Mecklenburgh have something to say about that?
Doctor Who: BBC One, 7.30pm
The eighth series of the sci-fi drama has had its fair share of dark moments, but in tonight's Steven Moffat-penned instalment, the scares are unleashed good and proper.
As The Doctor and Clara encounter ghosts from their past and futures, something frightens the lone Time Lord like nothing before. Watch with the lights on. And listen.
The X Factor: ITV, 8pm

Prepare for your Saturday nights to get much less gymnastic - Tumble comes to an end tomorrow with finalists Amelle Berrabah, Bobby Lockwood, Carl Froch, Ian 'H' Watkins, Lucy Mecklenburgh and Sarah Harding battling it out to win the trophy!
Obviously to do that they're going to have to pull out all the stops - and we've got some exclusive pictures and gossip from their training. Who had to have emergency physio? Who keeps dropping their partner? And who has the best grimace? Read on to find out...
Amelle
All of the celebrities have to do a combined floor routine and double trapeze as well as the vault - but Amelle's pretty nervous because she has to complete head judge Nadia's challenge and give an aerial cartwheel a (literal) whirl.
We all remember how well that went last time she tried it, and we've heard her training has been "hit and miss" so far.

Peter Duncan has failed to make it through to the Tumble final next week.
The seven remaining celebrities competed in tonight's semi-final, in which they each took on the beam and performed a routine with their professional partner.
Actor Bobby Lockwood topped the judges' scoreboard with an impressive 68.5 out of 80. However, for the first time viewers were given the opportunity to vote, with the judges only accounting for 50% of the total.
Carl Froch and Duncan finished bottom of the combined scoreboard, leaving them to face head judge Nadia Comăneci in The Vault.
The Olympic champion saved Froch, praising his "more difficult" vault, "great execution" and "perfect" landing.
Speaking to host Alex Jones, former Blue Peter presenter Duncan said he'd had "such a great time" on the series.
Froch and Lockwood will compete against H, Amelle Berrabah, Sarah Harding and Lucy Mecklenburgh in the grand final.

If we had to go on a celebrity reality show, we have to say that BBC One's new gymnastics extravaganza Tumble sounds like the least threatening. Tumbling is what kittens do! It's all soft and lovely.
Well, some news has come in that has forced us to think again. Because H from Steps is in training, and he can't stop sharing some pretty gruesome injuries.
First, he tweeted this horrifying image of his bruised legs, adding: "These are bruises from training today!!!! ( excuse the angle!!! ) #ouch #tumble"
Sorry, H, but we don't think we can ever excuse that angle. We're still trying to figure out exactly what's going on there.
Next, we were 'treated' to a picture of a gash on H's hand. Admittedly, this is only really a slight graze, but it's certainly more of H than we ever wanted to see. Still, at least H was taking it all in his stride,...

Carl Froch silenced all his doubters when he dispatched George Groves via knockout at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening. The Wba and Ibf super middleweight champion made sure there was no controversy in the rematch between the two men as he knocked out the Londoner in the eighth round of their bout in the capital.
The stunning victory leaves the world at the feet of the Cobra once again. At 36-year-old he only has a handful of fights left in him and he will only want to agree to the very biggest available. There will be plenty of fighters wanting a shot at the veteran champion, but he has put himself in a great position to be able to choose his next opponent.
Froch has made no secret of the fact that he wants to headline a show in Las Vegas before he calls time on his career.

Whether you’re a hardcore fan or a casual fight fan everyone has an opinion on the clash that feels more personal than anything else in recent years, which makes the fight so special. The last time the majority of the Britain were eager for a fight on Saturday night was back in 2007 when the Brits took over Las Vegas as Ricky Hatton faced Floyd Mayweather.
The rematch had to happen straight away,...

The shortlist for Sports Personality of the Year 2013 has been announced and after another superb year of sport, we’re left spoilt for choice yet again.
There are no real surprise inclusions, but athletes such as Carl Froch, Laura Robson and Gareth Bale have missed the cut for the accolade, which will be announced at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on December 15th.
As usual, we have seen plenty of sporting successes this year, and despite the threat of being in the shadow of the ultimate sport year of 2012, 2013 impressed with Tour De France, Tennis grand slams, Golf majors and Rugby and Cricket series wins.
There is not a single footballer on the list (again) and is filled with athletes from no less than eight sports, showing our versatility as a nation.
So we have examined the ten athletes named on the shortlist and ranked them in order of...

As a nation of sports fans, Britain’s collective conscience is etched with memories from its greatest triumphs; the Wilkinson kick that won us the World Cup, Beckham’s last minute goal against Greece, the gut wrenching ebb and flow of Murray vs Djokovic at the Wimbledon final. As wonderful and galvanising as these images are for our nations people, equally etched on our memories are those moments of heartbreak and horror in the world of sport. Whenever a tragedy occurs involving human life, our intuition leads us to the obvious question ‘what could have been done to prevent it?’
We live in a learned world where much of the regulation and bureaucracy in sport derives from the inadequacies in procedure leading to the tragic loss of human life in the past. Take the Hillsborough disaster in 1989; a horrific crush in which 96 people were killed at a football ground in Sheffield.

The former Changing Rooms star said that he is often asked why he has never appeared on the BBC dancing series.
He told Pa: "So many people have always asked me for years and years why I've never done Strictly and I've never said yes to Strictly - because I don't want to dance with anyone else... crazy!

From the 2013/14 football season, Chapman will take over from Colin Murray as main host of the BBC's Match of the Day 2, while continuing to host 5 Live Sport on Saturdays and fronting the Rugby World Cup coverage.
Ahead of his new role, Digital Spy spoke to Chapman about his upcoming projects, BBC Sport and its competition with BT Sport.
Your appointment as regular host of Match of the Day 2 has arrived at an exciting time. What are you looking forward to covering most for the upcoming season?
"I think how unpredictable it's going to be. You're always looking for stories. Football is so much more now than what happens on the pitch.

It could be a case of be careful what you wish for, for up and coming prospect Gerorge Groves this winter. It has been confirmed that a mouth watering fight for all British boxing fans will take place late this year, with a date still to be agreed for a late November, early December clash between Ibf and Wba Super-Middleweight Champion Carl Froch and the mandatory challenger for the Ibf strap, George Groves.
Groves has gotten his chance to prove that he is indeed the prospect that he has claimed to be ever since defeating Olympic gold medalist James DeGale in 2011. Since that victory, injuries have curtailed the Londoner’s progress for the best part of a year, but over the past 10 months or so he has gotten back on track and has thrown his name right back in to the mix for world titles by being very active in 2013 so far.

Espn ringside reporter Chris Lloyd on tonight’s rematch, what Froch can learn from Calzaghe and what to expect from fight night at the O2 Arena.
18,000 seats sold out in less than 4 hours, two world championship belts on the line. Tonight, another incredible piece of boxing history. But great fights are won neither on history nor statistics. They are a snapshot in time – a moment where great fighters are made and broken – replayed over and over so much that we convince ourselves they lasted longer than the instance at which they took place.
For Carl Froch, the memory of his first loss at the hands of Mikkel Kessler 3 years ago was a brief moment in time that he has had on mental replay ever since. The media dissection of those brutal 12 rounds in Herning back in 2010 – the analysis, the interviews and the questions put to the man they call the...
