Dr. Dre is looking back on his 2021 brain aneurysm.
In an interview on SiriusXM’s This Life of Mine with James Corden, the music hip-hop mogul recalled having “three strokes” while in the hospital for his brain aneurysm in 2021.
At the time of his hospitalization, he told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement, “I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars.”
When reflecting on the frightening ordeal, Dre further revealed to Corden, “It’s just something that you can’t control that just happens and during those two weeks, I had three strokes.”
When detailing what led to the trip to the hospital initially, Dre recalled waking up with a feeling behind his right ear that turned into “the worst pain.”

Speaking on the Workout the Doubt podcast earlier this month, the music producer shared details from his stay at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, where he was reportedly taken to the intensive care unit via an ambulance in January 2021.
Since the incident occurred during the onset of the pandemic, Dre, 57, quoted by People, told the podcast host Dolvett Quince that he was not allowed to receive any visitors.
“But they allowed my family to come in,” he explained. “I found out later, they called them up, so they could say their last goodbyes because [doctors] thought I was out of here.”

In a recent appearance on Dolvett Quince’s Workout the Doubt podcast, the rapper and music producer shared a few details about his two-week experience in the intensive care unit of an L.A. hospital.
“I’m at Cedars-Sinai hospital and they weren’t allowing anybody to come up, meaning visitors or family or anything like that, because of Covid, but they allowed my family to come in. Dr. Dre‘s prognosis didn’t look good after he suffered a brain aneurysm in January 2021. In fact, things looked so bleak doctors thought the rap mogul was going to die, so they invited his family to the hospital to say their “last goodbyes.”
Dre made the startling revelation on the “Workout the Doubt” podcast where he discussed in more detail the medical scare that put him in the ICU for two weeks. The rapper told host Dolvett Quince that, while he was at Cedars-Sinai hospital, nobody was allowed to visit him because the hospitalization came amid the pandemic.

The fourth installment of Syfy's mega-popular Sharknado series premiered Sunday. After Rachel Frederickson’s controversial victory last season, the producers are giving themselves a second chance with The Biggest Loser: Glory Days. All 20 contestants this year are former athletes, which theoretically should mean their minds and bodies are better suited for the intense regime expected of this competition. These former champions already know what it takes to be a winner but also understand the concept of limits and discipline, something Frederickson was criticized for lacking. Though it gets a little annoying how many times the trainers say it, this does have the potential to be the best season yet.

“The trick is to stay alive long enough to cash out,” Steve Buscemi’s Nucky Thompson muses in a new teaser for Boardwalk Empire‘s final season. Of course, that might be easier said than done.

Jillian Michaels may be on the market soon – according to a source, The Biggest Loser's famed trainer wants to quit the show.
"She is deeply concerned about the direction the show has been taking," a source tells People. "She is turned off by the mean-spirited story lines and poor care of the contestants."
The revelation comes just months after the controversial season finale after which many speculated that winner Rachel Frederickson (who worked with Dolvett Quince during the show, and continued losing weight at home) had dieted herself down to a dangerously low weight – an accusation the show awkwardly side-stepped after the finale.

Jillian Michaels is finally opening up about her reaction to Season 15 winner of "The Biggest Loser" Rachel Frederickson and her stunning weight loss.
Michaels, who was visibly disturbed by Frederickson's 155 pound loss when it was revealed live during the show's Feb. 4 finale, yet only issued a perfunctory non-statement statement in the immediate aftermath, now admits she had no idea the transformation would be that extreme.
"Nobody told me, like, 'Oh, hey, Rachel is very, very thin.' Bob [Harper] and I had no idea," Michaels tells HuffPost Live. "Nobody had told us. Nobody had said anything to us. So yes, I was stunned. Obviously, I thought she had lost too much weight."
In Michaels' estimation, Frederickson somehow fell through the cracks in the gap period between filming at the ranch and the finale. "I was immediately concerned and wondering how this happened," she says. "In my opinion this had failed through those checks and balances.

After last week's controversial finale, where winner Rachel Frederickson won Season 15 with a shocking overall weight loss, it seems "The Biggest Loser" is taking steps to keep contestants from going "too far" in their weight loss journey from this point forward.
According to E! Online, sources connected to the show say producers are considering making "small but significant tweaks" to how the contestants stay in touch after they leave the ranch, but before the live finale three months later, providing more "support and check-in" opportunities during the time they are losing weight on their own.
"There might be more focus on what happens to the winner after they are supposedly done with the show," says the source. There has been no official comment on any changes to the show from NBC.
