For the upcoming Ufc on Fuel TV 7 card in Wembley Arena, I called upon our British Mma correspondent and co-host, English Thom Burton to help me breakdown the event. We cover all 12 fights with particular emphasis on the interim championship match between Renan Barao (29-1, 1) and Michael McDonald (15-1). Barao is easily one of the most talented fighters in the Ufc and a legitimate threat to Dominick Cruz’s stranglehold on the Bantamweight division when he returns from injury.
The other notable fights include a battle between Cub Swanson () and Dustin Poirier () at Featherweight, which promises to be a contender for Fight of the Night. Also expect big knockouts in the Lhw Jimi Manuwa (12-0) vs. Cyrille Diabate and the James Te-Huna (15-5) vs. Ryan Jimmo (17-1) matches. These fighters have an amazing 36 knockouts between them.
If submissions are your thing, then Paul Sass (13-1) takes on Danny Castillo (14-...

With Wreck-it Ralph about to smash into theaters (November 2nd), I got to sit down with Wreck-It Ralph himself, Mr. John C. Reilly, in a round table at the Beverly Hilton Hotel (Beverly Hills, CA). We talked music legends, video games, and sharing a booth with Sarah Silverman.
From Walt Disney Animation Studios and Emmy®-winning director Rich Moore comes .Wreck-It Ralph,. a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping adventure. For decades, Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) has been overshadowed by Fix-It Felix, Jr. (voice of Jack McBrayer), the good-guy star of their game who always gets to save the day. Tired of playing the role of a bad guy, Ralph takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a journey across the arcade through multiple generations of video games to prove he.s got what it takes to be a hero.
On his quest, Ralph meets tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun...

One of the surprises for me yesterday in Seattle at the pre-CatchCon roundtable of Captains Sig Hansen, Keith Colburn, "Wild" Bill Wichrowski, Andy Hillstrand, Johnathan Hillstrand, Derrick Ray, Scott Campbell and the late Phil Harris' sons Josh Harris and Jake Harris was their response when asked about their favorite TV shows they watched. "Sons of Anarchy" was a top of the list drama for the Discovery docu-series stars who loved the show's sensibilities and action. FX's biker drama has steadily climbed in ratings and interest, and promises to deliver a season that will continue the saga of Gemma Teller-Morrow's extended family that features the love affair between her son Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and his high school sweetheart-turned-medical...

Join Monsters and Critics as we crawl the CatchCon 2011 Docks in Seattle, Saturday, April 9 with our favorite Captains of the Cornelia Marie, Northwestern, Wizard, and Time Bandit fishing vessels. While the Cornelia Marie will be in the hands of new co-owners Josh and Jake Harris following the death of their father Phil Harris during last year's season of the Discovery Channel reality series, the other boats will continue to be captained by Sig Hansen (Northwestern), Keith Colburn (Wizard), and Andy and Johnathan Hillstrand (Time Bandit). CatchCon fan festival drops anchor Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Bell Harbor Conference Center from 12noon to 6pm, and it is right on the water. Last year, The Fv Northwestern...

The post-ShoWest future came into a little sharper focus Thursday.
The National Association of Theatre Owners said it will stage its first CinemaCon trade show March 28-31 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The group previously had announced only the venue and a spring slotting for the event and hinted that the confab will hew close to its trade show progenitor by hiring former ShoWest officials Mitch Neuhauser and Andrew Sunshine to run CinemaCon.
CinemaCon effectively succeeds ShoWest as exhibition's annual gathering, as Nato resumes hands-on control of the confab. The group also confirmed that it will offer the customary movie screenings, seminars and a trade show floor, with Neuhauser on board to organize programming and Sunshine primarily booking floor booths.
"Following the highly successful 36-year run of ShoWest, Nato will now run and oversee the largest annual gathering for the cinema industry," the industry nonprofit said. "It is expected that,...

My home movie watching has involved a lot of animated and other films primarily aimed at children over the past month or so. This proved to be quite useful, given the wealth of great music included in these films, so I thought it was time I compiled a list of my favourite songs that feature in kids movies.
‘Kids movies' is not a term that I'm particularly fond of, especially as many of these films appeal to adults as much as younger audiences, but it's less of a mouthful than ‘films primarily aimed at children' or something similar.
There were plenty of songs considered for this and, in fairness, it could have quite easily been double the length. But restraint was needed and after a lot of editing and re-ordering, what's...

Phil Harris from "The Deadliest Catch" has died, according to his sons. Harris was 53. Harris, captain of the Cornelia Marie crew, was a main character on the Discovery Channel show. He suffered a stroke in January while unloading crabs, but showed signs of improvement as recently as last week. In an entry posted Feb. 3, Harris's children told Discovery, "Today, dad showed some good signs of improvement, squeezing our hands and even summoning his trademark Captain's bluntness by telling the doctors and nurses, "Don't f*ck up." We are encouraged but still very cautious." Below is the message released by the Harris's sons Jake and Josh after their father's death: It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dad - Captain Phil Harris. Dad has always been a fighter and continued to be until the end. For us and the...
