Mike Posner may not be the first person you'd expect to have a podcast. After all, he had a hit song in 2009 -- the earworm known as "Cooler Than Me" -- and made an impressive comeback in 2016 after a few years away from the spotlight, namely with his banger, "I Took a Pill in Ibiza."
But if you know Posner, the opportunity for introspection isn't strange at all. In fact, his new podcast, What Does This All Mean?, is a natural extension for the inquisitive Duke University grad. The new series explores what it means to be human, with a recent episode diving deep into his life-changing, chance meeting with Kanye West that ultimately led to a lesson in how to turn failure into success. Posner knows what it's like to reach the heights of fame and also how to find himself again, which makes the difficult journeys he's taking us on with his 10-episode podcast all the more...

Avi Kaplan announced that he was stepping back from Pentatonix in May, but now he’s back with his new solo project—Avriel & the Sequoias—and a new cover of a modern pop classic. Kaplan and Co. have served up a “cooler than cool” bluegrass version of Outkast’s “Hey Ya!” and People has an exclusive first look.
According to the 28-year-old vocal powerhouse, the idea to makeover the 2003 Speakerboxxx/The Love Below hit has been brewing for quite some time. “I had heard this folky version of “Hey Ya!”—like a slowed down acoustic version—a really long time ago on YouTube,...

Dontnod and Square Enix’s episodic graphic adventure game ‘Life Is Strange’ has been critically acclaimed the world over since it’s release last year.
The game, which sees photography student Maxine Caulfield attempt to prevent the total destruction of her town with her new found ability to rewind time, features a widely celebrated soundtrack, containing tracks from artists as far reaching as Jose Gonzalez, Mogwai, Amanda Palmer and Bright Eyes, and we’re teaming up with the lovely folks over at Square Enix to give away a limited edition (1 of 500 globally!) vinyl soundtrack of Life is Strange alongside a box set of the title, containing a physical copy of the game for Xbox One, the CD edition of the game’s phenomenal soundtrack and a stunning 32 page art book.
This is truly the definitive way to experience ‘Life Is Strange’ and is an absolute must-have for fans of the game.

Before she got engaged to Joe Managaniello (or Nick Loeb), Sofia Vergara said "I do" when she was just 18 years old.In a batch of just-uncovered photos from her wedding to Jose Gonzalez way back in 1991, we get a glimpse of what the "Modern Family" star wore for her first trip down the aisle. And, yeah, it's safe to say she won't be wearing this again when she ties the knot with Joe!Sporting a dress with a satin skirt and long-sleeved, beaded top and a very intricate veil, Vergara still looked gorgeous for her big day ... even if the look is very dated by today's standards.Sofia and her high school sweetheart welcomed a son together, Manolo, the following year ... before separating in 1993. She began modeling some sexy swimwear right around that time too, before moving to Miami with their son to host a show on Univision."We’re still close friends,...

Dynamite - Vampirella Model: Julia Leigh * Photographer: Ben Britt Photography Vampirella debuted in 1969 in a black & white magazine titled simply Vampirella. With a stunning cover by legendary artist, Frank Frazetta, Vampirella #1 quickly made publishing history with its depiction of a vampire heroine, and its success prompted comics giants DC and Marvel to launch horror titles of their own. Vampirella appeared in this magazine format throughout the 1970's. Many of these classic stories were illustrated by the legendary artist Jose Gonzalez and have remained quite popular with comics fans to the present day. After a brief publishing hiatus, Vampirella returned in 1992 and quickly regained her reigning status as the queen of all female comics characters! In continuous publication since her early 90s comeback, Vampirella has been written by top talents including Alan Moore, Mark Millar, Grant Morrision, James Robinson, Jeph Loeb, Warren Ellis, and...

Who knew that Ben Stiller, the funnyman behind Zoolander and There’s Something About Mary, was the right man to bring James Thurber’s classic short story The Secret Life of Walter Mitty to the big screen? Of course, much of the short story is absent from Stiller’s adaptation, but that was always a certainty (beautiful though it is, the original story is hardly enough to fill a short, let alone a major studio tentpole). What Stiller does manage to do, however, to my great surprise, is capture the adventurous heart of his title character.
Part of what makes Stiller’s characterization so enjoyable is how he nails the mannerisms of the Everyman. Working as a negative assets manager for the fictional Life magazine, Walter is quiet and awkward, more inclined to drift off into daydreams than actually look at what’s in front of him. Without alienating the character from the audience,...

A new trailer for Ben Stiller’s upcoming drama The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Stiller plays a daydreaming Life Magazine employee who goes on some real adventures to find an elusive photographer (Sean Penn).
It’s still on my radar as one of the most anticipated movies coming out next month. Now with this new trailer accompanied by the music of Queen, Of Monsters and Men, and Jose Gonzalez while showing off new great visuals, it might be a done deal.
The film also stars Adam Scott, Kristen Wiig, Shirley MacLaine, Kathryn Hahn, Patton Oswalt, and Sean Penn.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty opens on Christmas Day.

Despite premiering to mixed reviews at the New York Film Festival earlier this fall (read our own take right here), Fox is still all in on the Ben Stiller-starring and helmed update of “The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty.” With the film hitting theaters next month, the details for film’s soundtrack have been released. Set to be released digitally a week before the film’s release date, the soundtrack will be a rather folksy affair with tracks from Of Monsters and Men, Grace Mitchell and new songs written for the film from Jose Gonzalez. And that's not all, Gonazlez's band Junip also have some cuts as does nice guy Jack Johnson, indie rockers Rogue Wave and the legendary David Bowie with a new mix of "Space Oddity" featuring Kristen Wiig. Yes, really. You can pre-order the soundtrack now and purchase the first single, Jose Gonzalez’s “Step Out” from iTunes.

"Life is about courage and going into the unknown." Ben Stiller has clearly outdone himself. Following a glowing review from our own Joey Magidson over the weekend, the new full length trailer for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is here, and damn, is it a gorgeous preview of what promises to be an endearing, emotional and visually stunning piece of work. This could be Stiller's first serious foray into Oscar consideration. Honestly, it does look a little sappy, but there's something about this trailer so uplifting, especially the music from Of Monsters and Men, and even a new song from Jose Gonzalez and St. Vincent. Here's the new trailer for Ben Stiller's The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, originally from Yahoo: Ben Stiller directs, produces and stars in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, a new adaptation of James Thurber's classic short story with a script from...
