Dinesh Vijan’s much-awaited film ‘Bhediya’ starring Kriti Sanon ,Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Banerjee & Deepak Dobriyal has wrapped its shoot. The film is based on the fairy tales and legends from Arunachal Pradesh.

The film has been completely shot in the pandemic and completed a very tough schedule in record time.

Bhediya has been shot in the picturesque location of Arunachal Pradesh and second schedule in Mumbai with all the safety precautions and a controlled environment.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Bhediya is written by National Award winner, Niren Bhatt.

Talking to Pti, the screenwriter said, “Bhediya is a visual film. We created so many visuals, this is how the creature would look and this is how the conversion would happen. We have tried to create a film which would stand out internationally in this genre.”

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan on Wednesday reminisced about his childhood days, saying that he always loved playing in the rain.

Varun posted a picture on Instagram, where he can be seen standing shirtless on his balcony and getting wet in the rain on Wednesday. The actor is dressed in black pants, flashing his perfectly chiseled washboard abs.

Alongside the image, he wrote: "Mumbai ki baarish. (Mumbai rains). As a kid I would always love to play in the rain so after getting in the work I stepped out to enjoy the rain and it felt amazing."

On the work front, Varun will be seen in the film ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo', also starring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Kiara Advani.

Varun posted a picture on Instagram, where he was seen posing with Abhishek Banerjee near a lake.

Abhishek commented, referring to the clean air of the place: "Best oxygen waali memories."

New Delhi, Feb 23: Bollywood horror is evolving beyond simple tales of ghosts, haunted houses and possession stories. Film makers are learning to give a spin to the tale. New sub-genres are being created blending horror with comedy, romance, mythology and more.

Horror comedies, Horror films with social message, and mythological twist to supernatural lore are all plot ideas that fall under the broader genre of horror.

Mumbai, Feb 21 (Ians) Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon on Sunday announced the release date of her upcoming horror comedy film "Bhediya" opposite actor Varun Dhawan through an Instagram post.

The actress announced the release date of the film in an interesting manner with the teaser.

Addressing the popular horror comedy film "Stree" and upcoming film "Roohi", she captioned it as "#Stree aur #Roohi ko #Bhediya ka pranaam. In cinemas on April 14, 2022".

The film teaser shows the silhouette of a man turning into a werewolf and announced the release date.

Actor Varun Dhawan, too, announced the film through his Instagram post in a similar fashion.

The supernatural film is being directed by Amar Kaushik and is produced by Dinesh Vijan.

"Bhediya" is said to be part of Producer Dinesh Vijan's 'horror universe'.

Besides this, Kriti Sanon would be seen in films like "Mimi" and "Bachchan Pandey".

Another eventful year for Indian film is almost over now, and it’s a good time to reflect on how far Indian Cinema has come, and in what ways it needs to push the envelope further.

The onset of the digital age has opened up new floodgates for content to reach audiences, who now, thanks to streaming platforms, have access to many smaller independently made films which get lost among the big brother releases on the big screen, many of these smaller films boasting of stellar filmmaking and compelling storylines.

There are certain films I really liked initially, especially Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, which is the Indian entry to the Oscars, but I have lost much of my enthusiasm towards it by the end of the year. But that happens as our response to films change over time.

Next Friday will witness two prominent new releases, Yash Raj Film?s, Mardaani 2 and Emraan Hashmi?s The Body.

The front runner will obviously be Rani Mukerji?s Mardaani 2, keeping in mind the topical subject as also the brand value of the franchise, while The Body too will find its own patrons with Emraan in a taut suspense thriller.?

Checking out last ?Friday?s interesting clash between Kartik Aryan?s Pati Patni Aur Woh and Arjun Kapoor?s Panipat, the battle was comprehensively won by Pp andW which netted nearly 35 crores as opposed to the 18 crores opening weekend by the Ashutosh directed film.

The other listed releases include titles such as Yeh Saali Aashiqui, Hotel Mumbai, Luv U-turn and Tony, but none of them appear promising or competitive enough as compared to Commando 3.?

Know why Ayushmann Khurrana considers himself fortunate

National Award-winning actor Ayushmann Khurrana has struck gold at the box office once again as his latest release "Bala" hit the century mark, and he feels happy on "contributing towards the growth of industry".

Released on November 8, "Bala" has become Ayushmann's third Rs 100 crore blockbuster of his career and his second Rs 100 crore hit this year itself after " Dream Girl".

Pagalpanti is dull, T-Series' Marjaavaan succeeds, Bala on way to super hit!

The prominent release of the week, ?John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, and Ileana D?Cruz starrer Pagalpanti, could not quite impress at the ticket window, despite the good promotion, as it opened to a dull 15 percent start on an average. Having said that, the film can still make amends during the remaining two days of the inaugural weekend.

Meanwhile, T-Series? Siddharth-Ritesh starrer Marjaavaan managed to spring a pleasant surprise with an inspired run, netting 37-38 crore during the opening week from India. The film is already a box-office success and can upgrade to at least a semi-hit, based on the initial second weekend trend.

Concluding with Ayushmann Khurrana?s ?Amar Kaushik directed Bala, after a good opening week (71 crores), the film saw a very steady second one as it mopped up 27 crores, thus netting 98 crores (to be validated) in two weeks from India and is on way to a super hit status.
