Destiny‘s Rise of Iron expansion has been out for a little over a week now, and with Guardians now having conquered the Siva threat and become a new generation of Iron Lords, it’s time for players to test their mettle against each other with the return of the open-world shooter’s competitive PvP events.

The latest promotional trailer for Destiny‘s biggest day of the year has just been released by Sony, showcasing the exclusive content headed to PlayStation 4 with Rise of Iron‘s launch next week.
The video, which itself is promoting the release of compilation bundle Destiny: The Collection (includes all previous Dlc as well as Rise of Iron and the base game) highlights the exclusive quest, ship and multiplayer map that only owners of Sony’s console will get to enjoy, and while we already knew all about each of them, this is the first time we’ve seen footage.
Exclusive story mission Show of Strength takes players to the Seva-infested Plaguelands at the behest of Lord Saladin, and while we’re unsure of the mission specifics, Bungie has confirmed previously that the PS4 exclusive ship Timeless Tereshkova will be a reward for completing the quest.

Curious as to how The Fallen have breached the southernmost wall guarding Old Russia? Wonder no more. For the white-knuckle launch trailer for Destiny: Rise of Iron has landed ahead of the expansion’s imminent release, teasing The Plaguelands, new Exotic weaponry, private Crucible matches and a very, very pissed Lord Saladin.
Set to launch for PS4 and Xbox One on September 20, unlike previous content packs released for Bungie’s shared-world shooter (read: The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King), Rise of Iron will be exclusive to current-gen systems.
Amid the galactic action included in the sizzle reel above is a glimpse of the revamped Gjallarhorn – a very fancy and elusive bazooka, essentially – the new social space known as Felwinter Peak and a formidable monster that will surely play into the new, six-player raid mission. As previously revealed, Lord Saladin will feature heavily in the Rise of Iron story arc,...

Destiny: Rise of Iron is the cover star of Game Informer’s latest issue, bringing with it a ton of new information for Bungie’s September expansion.
Among the highlights, next month’s add-on will up the max light level to 385, while the introduction of Hard Mode on Rise of Iron‘s raid will bump that up a little further to 400. Speaking of which, Wrath of the Machine is the name of said raid, though few details were disclosed at this time.
Elsewhere, it appears Festival of the Lost will make its return come September, while Supremacy, a new game mode for Destiny‘s PvP component, will be showcased at Gamescom later this month. Strike missions Devil’s Lair and The Summoning Pits are coming back, too, with a twist.

With Destiny‘s first major expansion since The Taken King just over a month away from release, fans of the sandbox shooter are already looking beyond September’s Rise of Iron add-on, wondering what awaits them in the stars ahead. As it turns out, Bungie’s already got a few things in mind for the rest of 2016, most notably the return of the Sparrow Racing League and Festival of the Lost events, which proved to be popular last year.
Speaking to Game Informer, Destiny live team director Jeremy Hook confirmed that both limited-time pieces of content would be returning around the same time that they did originally, but that the former in particular will undergo some changes due to the fact that some players “didn’t like racing.”

On September 20, Bungie will roll out Destiny: Rise of Iron, the latest in a long line of expansion packs for its ever-popular shared-world shooter, across PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Crucially, the upcoming Dlc release represents “a fork in the road” for the studio, given that Rise of Iron will skip the “legacy consoles” in favor of current-gen hardware. That doesn’t necessarily mean that Bungie’s support for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Destiny will dry up all of a sudden; instead, the studio believes the staggered release was inevitable considering that the team “would have to start subtracting from the player experience on the legacy consoles to add new content.”
In an official blog post, publisher Activision outlined the reasoning behind the decision:
This was an inevitable fork in the road. With all of our content updates to Destiny, the world of the game has become a big place. We’ve reached a point where we would have to start subtracting from the player experience on the legacy consoles to add new content. Instead, we’ve chosen to leave the game intact on the PS3 and Xbox 360, and work on paths for upgrades and account conversions.
Destiny: Rise of Iron is expected to drop across PS4 and Xbox One on September 20. From that point on, those Guardians on last-gen hardware can expect some changes to the way Bungie handles content updates, and you can get an overview on that via the infographic below.

It’s official – Destiny: Rise of Iron will be made available for PS4 and Xbox One players only. On their official webpage, Bungie detailed what PS3 and Xbox 360 owners should expect come August, which is when they’ll begin to separate their player base.
Our goal is always to bring every player from this awesome community along for the ride as we continue the story of Destiny. At the same time, we will also continue to support players who elect not to upgrade their console hardware.
This Fall, you’ll still be able to play Destiny on legacy generation consoles, but that journey will occur on a separate path. Up to this point, player progression between current and legacy consoles in the same family has been shared by each account. This summer, that experience will fork into two parallel experiences that will no longer share progression.

After several leaks of a new Destiny expansion coming in September, Bungie has finally confirmed it all with a new trailer for Rise of Iron! Take a look!
The story Destiny fans have been clamoring for may finally be upon us Destiny: Rise of Iron. One of the biggest issues people have had with the game is the weak plot in an otherwise tremendously fun game. Bungie hopes to fix that with their latest expansion.
Destiny: Rise of Iron promises a cavalcade of new content like story, weapons/armor, strike, and the ever-awesome Raid. That's not all, though. They're also bringing back the epic rocket launcher Gjallahorn!
I was so upset when they nerf'd the Gjally. So much so that I actually put down the game for a while. I wasn't the only one either. Destiny's traffic dropped a little while after The Taken King was released. The problem being...

Consider it a rumor no longer – come September, Bungie will set in motion the Rise of Iron for Guardians, and ahead of today’s official Twitch reveal, a leaked trailer has showcased Destiny‘s upcoming expansion in motion.
Captured from the Wall Street Journal’s Snapchat story, YouTube user Jhairehmyah has posted the snippet for all to see, confirming that, as earlier artwork for the Dlc had suggested, Lord Saladin will be the one wreaking havoc on planet Earth. There’s also a first look at all of the new weapons and armor arriving with the much-anticipated add-on, and those who pre-order Rise of Iron will gain access to the Iron Gjallarhorn, a revamped version of the fan-favorite Exotic from Destiny Year One.
Beyond that, Guardians can seemingly look forward to entering a new social space known as The Plaguelands Zone, which offers a change of scenery from The Tower and The Reef.

Come September 20, Guardians will discover the fate of the Iron Lords when Destiny‘s fall expansion launches bearing the title Rise of Iron.
That’s according to a now-pulled post spotted on Bungie’s official page, seemingly revealing that the add-on – one set to be similar in size and scope as last year’s The Taken King – is on course to drop in the fall. Crucially, though, the studio’s latest slice of Dlc may only deploy for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Here’s the post in question:
Due to be revealed via Twitch tomorrow, June 9, the artwork included with the leaked article once again features Iron Banner boss Lord Saladin, flanked by two snarling wolves. Indeed the post falls in line with previous rumors regarding Rise of Iron, which is seemingly primed to whisk Guardians back to Earth, after years spent dealing with Oryx and his relentless Taken army.

Sorry, Corgis. The Internet has moved on. Didn't you know fame is fleeting? It seems that every time we turn on the World Wide Web, a new video starring a dog has gone viral. And that dog is usually a Siberian husky. Sure, you can make the argument that every kind of dog has a huge Internet following, but there is something about huskies that makes them so hot right now. Is it those hypnotizing eyes? Is it the fact that when we were younger we all loved the Disney film Iron Will and now we have a thing for sled dogs? Or is it because they sort of look like wolves so owners think themselves to be tamers of wild beasts? Who cares?! They are freakin' adorable, and here are all the reasons...

Now, it has been found that Catherine is related to one of Britain's grandest families and can count a prime minister, earls and countesses among her kin.
When the duchess' first child is born, the third-in-line to the throne will not be the only blue blood in her family tree, the Telegraph reported.
The duchess has been informed of her aristocratic heritage.
A previously unpublished side of the duchess' family tree uncovered her link to William Petty FitzMaurice,.
