Colleen Ballinger is back.
For the first time since posting the overwhelmingly ill-received ukulele video where she sang about how allegations that she sent sexual messages to underage fans were all part of a “toxic gossip train” full of “lies and rumors that you made up for clout,” Ballinger has uploaded a YouTube video.
It’s a return to her pre-ukulele content–lifestyle vlogs–but she does take the first three and a half minutes to address the song.
“Obviously the last video that I posted on here was really embarrassing, to say the least,” she says, sitting on the floor of her bedroom. “I was being accused of some pretty awful things, and I was just mad, and I should have handled that situation with maturity and empathy and instead I just let my ego take over and I’m really disappointed in myself.”

Colleen Ballinger is returning to YouTube months after she was accused of racist and inappropriate behavior.
The 36-year-old content creator, best known for her alter ego Miranda Sings, was accused of maintaining exploitative relationships and grooming her young fans in June. At the time, she responded by uploading a 10-minute song about the allegations.
A report followed that accused her of being racist on the set of her Netflix show Haters Back Off. A video from a prior performance also resurfaced, prompting questions about if she was wearing blackface.
Amid the backlash, Colleen‘s tour dates were cancelled. However, she didn’t issue another public response. That changed on Saturday (November 18), when she returned to YouTube with a new vlog and an extended introduction.
In it, she opened up about everything from the song she posted to what she has been up to in between videos. Colleen also addressed her...

As long as there have been celebrities, there’ve been celebrity apologies.
It’s a common cycle, one that’s fed the entertainment gossip pipeline for years: a famous person messes up, people are disappointed in them, and then they apologize, free to live in uncanceled bliss until, you guessed it, they mess up again. One thinks of Tiger Woods’ apology press conference, or the media gamut Reese Witherspoon ran after her arrest following her husband’s 2013 DUI. But over the past few months, something has been getting harder and...

What better place than the 2023 Streamys for Dream — the masked Twitch streamer now signed to Mercury and Republic Records — to do a second face reveal? After struggling to read the teleprompter because of his white, smiley-face mask, the creator let out his wavy hair from behind the mask to present the award. “Dream face reveal? Okay, again. Fine, fine!” he said.

Creator economy company Fanjoy has encountered some tough times. The nine-year-old startup, which partners with creators to launch merchandising initiatives, has filed for bankruptcy.
According to Insider, which reviewed Fanjoy’s Chapter 11 filing, the merch firm has between 100 and 199 creditors. That list includes several high-profile creators, including TikTok star Elyse Myers and Dream Smp progenitor GeorgeNotFound. Myers is reportedly owed $86,000 for her collaboration with Fanjoy, and GeorgeNotFound is owed $94,500.
“We’ve filed for Chapter 11 to restructure and strengthen our business strategically,” Fanjoy CEO Chris Vaccarino told Insider. “This decision aligns with our relentless commitment to supporting our creators. We’re optimistic about the future and will share more as we embark on this new chapter.”
In the late 2010s and early 2020s, Fanjoy made a name for itself by partnering with influencers like Jake Paul, Addison Rae, and (regrettably) Colleen Ballinger. The firm helped its creator partners advance their commercial operations; along the way,...

YouTube comedian Colleen Ballinger made a singing apology video – and people aren’t too happy about it.
In light of the grooming accusations and alleged inappropriate actions with teenagers that the comedian has been facing, Ballinger made a ten-minute apology video titled “Hi.” Throughout the video, the 36-year-old strums her ukulele as she sings her side of the allegations and although it’s meant to be an apology video, doesn’t actually apologize.
“I know you wanted me to say that I was 100% in the wrong,” Ballinger sang. “Well, I’m sorry I’m not gonna take that route of admitting to lies and rumors that you made up for clout.”
Ballinger says in the video that she was “strongly advised” against saying what she wanted to say but realized she was never told she couldn’t sing.

Upcoming live shows of comic YouTuber Colleen Ballinger, also known by her stage name Miranda Sings, have been canceled following allegations of inappropriate relationships with underage fans and dancing to “Single Ladies” in an old video wearing what some thought to be blackface.
Ballinger has denied the claims, singing in a video (while playing a ukulele), “A lot of people are saying some things about me that aren’t quite true. Doesn’t matter if it’s true, though, just as long as it’s entertaining to you, right?”
Regarding the old “Single Ladies” video, the YouTuber’s legal team has stated that Ballinger’s face was painted green because she previously had performed a song as a witch from the musical Wicked.
In any case, the Miranda Sings tour dates are off. Shows that had been listed on Ticketmaster are no longer available for purchase, including dates in Boise,...

Trisha Paytas is distancing herself from all the controversies surrounding Colleen Ballinger, the YouTube star known as Miranda Sings.
Paytas shared in a recent YouTube video that the Oversharing podcast she had been co-hosting with Ballinger is over and called the whole ordeal “embarrassing.”
“This is all very embarrassing. It’s very embarrassing at the end of the day, I don’t get embarrassed by many things, like obviously,” Paytas said. “The podcast ending after three episodes is embarrassing. Us doing all this is embarrassing…it takes a lot for me to get embarrassed.”
Oversharing published their first podcast episode on May 23 and only ran for three episodes with the last one being published on June 6. The end of the podcast comes as Ballinger faces multiple controversies online after she was accused of sharing inappropriate exchanges with underage fans.

Controversy surrounding “Miranda Sings” YouTuber Colleen Ballinger continues to grow, and now her podcasting partner and longtime friend is cutting ties with her.
Ballinger has been engulfed in scandal since allegations surfaced that she “groomed” a young fan, with claims that she’d “formed an inappropriate personal friendship with him while he was between the ages of 13 and 16.”
More recently, further accusations surfaced, claiming that Ballinger shared nude photos of fellow YouTuber Trisha Paytas, taken from the latter’s OnlyFans.

Last week, YouTube star Colleen Ballinger, the creator of sketch character MirandaSings, responded to allegations of having inappropriate interactions with underage fans. Instead of a statement, the internet star played a ukelele, accusing people of jumping on a “toxic gossip train.” Her apology was widely lambasted on social media, and the allegations against Ballinger just keep coming. Specifically, many fans are coming forward with more serious claims about Ballinger as a manager and about her content, accusing her of on-set micro-aggressions and posting racist content as MirandaSings.

Last week, Colleen Ballinger returned to YouTube, with the “Miranda Sings” creator performing a song addressed at allegations that she “groomed” an underage fan.
Now, more allegations are being lodged against Ballinger — by her ex-husband and a writer on her Netflix series, “Haters Back Off!”.
Joshua David Evans — who married Ballinger in July 2015, and split in September 2016 — took to Twitter to claim that Ballinger “gaslit” her fans and him.
“Anyone feeling hurt & gaslit right now, my message to you is this: Your experiences were real. The proof is there. Your trauma should be taken seriously. The proof is there. Your anger is justified. The proof is there. You deserve better. Take your power back. Sending you love,” Evans tweeted.

For the first three seconds of her most recent YouTube video, Colleen Ballinger (aka Miranda Sings) stares sadly at the floor.
Then she reaches over and grabs a ukelele.
She spends the next ten minutes strumming and singing about how allegations that she sent sexual messages to underage fans are all part of a “toxic gossip train” full of “lies and rumors that you made up for clout.”
These allegations first surfaced in 2020, when former fan Adam McIntyre began posting about interactions he had with Ballinger when he was between the ages of 13 and 16. McIntyre (who’s now 20) was part of a core cohort of teenage fans in a group chat with Ballinger called “Colleeny’s Weenies.” Ballinger responded to some of his allegations in 2020, admitting that she’d sent him a pair of her underwear and calling the decision to do so “completely stupid.”

She then proceeds to break into a song, apparently titled “Toxic Gossip Train”.

YouTube star Colleen Ballinger, the creator of sketch character Miranda Sings, is speaking out for the first time after fans accused the creator of spending years using her power and fame to engage in toxic parasocial relationships with underage fans. But not in a statement. YouTube has canceled “Escape the Night” after four seasons, ending its longest-running original series, Variety has confirmed. The semi-scripted murder-mystery series was hosted by Joey Graceffa, who presided over the retro mega-collab in which a famous YouTuber got killed off in each episode.
But Graceffa isn’t letting “Escape the Night” fade to black.
In a video posted Tuesday, he said Season 5 of the show was not happening “this year” but he left the door open for the series to return (which would be under different auspices now that YouTube has dropped it). “I don’t know when there will be a Season 5,” Graceffa said, saying it was unable to go forward because Covid-19 production shutdowns.
Graceffa didn’t say that “Escape the Night” was canceled. However, a source tells Variety that YouTube declined to pick up “Etn” Season 5.

In a video titled "Addressing Everything," the YouTuber, more commonly known as "Miranda Sings," apologizes for a 14-year-old video in which she and her sister pretend to be Latinx women. She starts off by admitting that the characters she and her then-teenage sister played were "completely based in racial stereotypes." "It is not funny, and it is completely hurtful. If YouTube popularity is fickle, Ricky Dillon -- an early star who rose to fame as part of the YouTube collab channel Our2ndLife -- has found an inventive way to keep a viable career on the platform.
Following financial and tax struggles last summer amid the realization that being a full-time YouTuber was just too risky and stressful, Dillon set his sights on becoming a freelance editor for other top creators -- as he lays out in a new Q&a video titled Why I Left YouTube. In that clip, which is the first video that Dillon has posted to his channel (3.2 million subscribers) since November, he says that he began reaching out to creators last summer to see if they needed any editing assistance.

Ariana Grande has the kind of passionate fan base that pays off at awards decided by an online vote. She has won 3 American Music Awards including Artist of the Year, plus 5 Kids’ Choice Awards and 11 Teen Choice Awards. But she hasn’t had quite as much success at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she has only won twice out of 18 previous nominations. Can she make up for it this year by winning Video of the Year for “Thank U, Next”? Watch the video above.
Grande was nominated for Video of the Year (“No Tears Left to Cry”) and Artist of the Year in 2018, but she lost both prizes to “Havana” by Camila Cabello featuring Young Thug. The only award she ended up winning at that event was Best Pop Video. That was the same prize she won in 2014 for one of her earliest hits, “Problem” featuring Iggy Azalea. Can...

Having acted longer than some of his “Wonder Park” cast members have been alive, Ken Jeong, who jokingly described himself as “the dumbest judge on ‘The Masked Singer’ and the dumbest guy on ‘Community,'” passed down some valuable wisdom about the entertainment industry to his young co-stars.

“Wonder Park” follows a young girl named June (voiced by Brianna Denski) who spent her childhood dreaming up a fantastical amusement park with zany rides and talking animals. After experiencing hardships and losing her creative spark growing up, she discovers the park actually exists just as she needs it most. Twelve-year-old...
