One day after its parent company announced a new executive, Nerdist Industries has picked up a pair of new hires of its own. The entertainment company founded by Chris Hardwick has announced a new President, Adam Rymer, and its first Head of Development, Jack Herrguth. Rymer comes to Nerdist after eight years of Universal Studios; his experience in the film industry will likely be crucial for the Nerdist Channel, which has recently started offering exclusive clips from movies like Need for Speed and Bad Words. Herrguth, who previously worked for CBS and Comedy Central, will oversee production across multiple platforms in a newly-created position. “I am thrilled to have Adam and Jack meld into the Nerdist Hive Mind," said Hardwick. Comedy Central's Jack Herrguth will be the recipient of the 2nd Annual Gilda award at the Fresh Canvas Party, the yearly benefit evening for the Cancer Support Community - Benjamin Center (formerly The Wellness Community) on Saturday, May 18th in Santa Monica.
