Showtime revealed the full cast list for its upcoming "Twin Peaks" revival, and it's nothing short of insane -- and insanely long.
The ensemble includes a whopping 217 actors -- yes, you read that right -- and amid all the returning faces, there are also a bunch of surprising, big-name newbies along for the ride this time around. (We've embedded the entire list at the end of this post.)
Original cast members that will be back include many previously-announced people, and the ensemble will feature the likes of Kyle MacLachlan, Sherilyn Fenn, Madchen Amick, Sheryl Lee, Dana Ashbrook, David Duchovny, Miguel Ferrer, Grace Zabriskie, Peggy Lipton, Ray Wise, Wendy Robie, Russ Tamblyn, and Catherine E. Coulson, among many others.
As for the newcomers, some of the bold names that stand out include Monica Bellucci, Jim Belushi, Michael Cera, Laura Dern, Jay R. Ferguson (a.k.a. Stan from "Mad Men"), Ernie Hudson ("Ghostbusters"), Ashley Judd,...

The new "Twin Peaks" isn't slated to debut on Showtime until 2017, but a flurry of speculation about it happened last week with a tweet from Go For Locations indicating that filming had wrapped on the "first two seasons" of the series.
The episode count for the David Lynch-directed series was always in question, but that tweet suggested we'd be getting even more episodes than originally planned. Said tweet has since been deleted, so we'll have to wait to see how that pans out.
in the meantime in more official news, Showtime, Lynch and Mark Frost has released the official cast list for the new series with a whopping 217 names across the various episodes - a list that includes some real surprise big name inclusions such as Monica Bellucci, Michael Cera, Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Eddie Vedder, Ashley Judd, Ernie Hudson, Jim Belushi, Richard Chamberlain, Laura Dern,...

*full disclosure: an online screener of this film was provided by an anonymous source. Director writer: Nathan Hendrickson. Cast: Kate Alden, Jesse James, Chelsea Farthing, Tony Doupe and Tonya Skoog. The Hollow One is a horror film from Nathan Hendrickson. Hendrickson has come from a video game development background and The Hollow One is this director's first film. This indie title is currently on the film festival circuit, with a recent appearance at the Seattle International Film Festival. In the film, a family struggles to overcome a being, made of nothingness. But, love does not always conquer the void, in horror. As the film's theme struggles to take hold, a creepy atmosphere develops in an old barn and farmhouse. Mostly shot at night, the film's tone is consistent. Unfortunately, many other film elements struggle to find affect. The Hollow One is a mostly enjoyable feature, which suffers from the introduction...

Indie supernatural horror film The Hollow One is one of those movies that seems to get everything right, and yet somehow it just doesn't add up to anything remarkable. Could it possibly be a case where the end product just doesn’t live up to the promise of its trailer? Perhaps this writer’s expectations were just too high for such a promising premise. In any event, as it pertains to The Hollow One, let’s just say that the sum of its parts is greater than the whole. More on this later, but first, what’s it all about?
Rachel (Kate Alden) and her younger sister Anna (Chelsea Farthing) seem to live an idyllic life in a small farming village with their parents, Michael (Tony Doupe) and Linda (Tonya Skoog), but things change one fateful night when Mic [Continued ...]...

Two estranged siblings, one significant other, a dead mother’s ashes and a cabin (yes, in the woods); what’s old is new again in this classy addition to the ever-growing subgenre. Like the recent Honeymoon, The Device is a cabin in the woods movie without irony, aware of what has gone before, but not resorting to nudge-nudge-wink-wink post-modernism in the process.
And, unlike most cabin-in-the-woods features, this one even dares to venture beyond its central location, actually letting its characters leave for home – a place few of the subgenre have ever dared to go (no, Army of Darkness doesn’t count). Scattering said dead mum’s ashes at an old secluded holiday home, sisters Abby and Rebecca discover a strange alien...

Holy cats! Ol’ Jeremy Berg, the creator of s–t hot new Sci-Fi thriller The Device (a review of which is comin’ soon to this very website, so begin tremblin’ in anticipation right now!) just stumbled on in to the Crypt o’ Xiii!
Famous Monsters. Ya took the brainy approach on The Device, while most flicks in the alien abduction vein tend to go a bit “o’er tha top”, so to speak. Did this cause you any static?
Jeremy Berg. I really wanted to tell a story that was driven by the characters. The genesis of the idea was a simple concept: two sisters find an object in the woods that may or may not be of earthly origin. It was very simple but had a lot of potential. From there, we could explore how this object changes the characters and their relationships with one another.
