New Delhi, June 13 (Ians) American political news and opinion series Breaking Points has made headlines in India for its controversial interview on former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who in an exploratory remark, claimed that India had put pressure on the micro-blogging platform.

Both Ball and Enjeti were former hosts of American newspaper The Hill’s Rising — a daily news and opinion web series.

Controversial podcast host Joe Rogan is once again receiving backlash, this time for comments that critics have labelled “antisemitic”.
The Joe Rogan Experience host was discussing US Representative Ilhan Omar with his guests, Breaking Points co-hosts Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti, during a recent episode when he made the offending statements.
Omar was recently removed from the Foreign Affairs Committee by Republicans over accusations that she is antisemitic.
In 2019, she tweeted that Republicans wanted to condemn her comments about Israel because “It’s all about the Benjamins, baby”, a reference to Benjamin Franklin being on 100 bills. She later apologised for her comments.
“That’s not an antisemitic comment, I don’t think that is. Benjamins are money,” Rogan said on his podcast.
He continued: “The idea that Jewish people are not into money is ridiculous. That’s like saying Italians aren’t into pizza. It’s f***ing stupid.”

No stranger to controversy, Joe Rogan this week offered the following generalization about Jews on his massively popular Spotify show: “The idea that Jewish people are not into money is ridiculous. That’s like saying Italians aren’t into pizza.”
Rogan was speaking to onetime MSNBC contributor Krystal Ball about Rep. Ilhan Omar’s 2019 tweet that Israel’s defenders in the U.S. were motivated solely by money.
“It’s all about the Benjamins baby,” wrote Omar at the time. The tweet drew a swift rebuke from leaders on both sides of the aisle, including then Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Omar later recanted, writing, “I unequivocally apologize.”
The Spotify host’s statements this week were part of a conversation about Rep. Adam Schiff.
“It’s crazy,” said Rogan. “Did you see him sitting next to Ilhan Omar, where she’s apologizing for talking about it’s all about the Benjamins?...

Bill Maher has a beef with Millennials, specifically those who inhabit the newsroom of the Washington Post.
Reviewing the recent Twitter war between WaPo reporter Felicia Sonmez and the other members of that newsroom – a flame battle that eventually saw Sonmez fired and another reporter put on a month’s leave without pay – Maher said the joke tweet that instigated it was something that has been going on for eons. Yet the “unlicensed daycare center” that is the newsroom didn’t find the humor in it.
“Can you imagine a world that allows jokes you don’t like? Of course, the leadership folded like a Miami condo,” he said, falling back on the tired trope that the tweet did not reflect the institution’s values, “free speech not being one of them.”
Maher then broadened the WaPo conflict into a larger takedown of the generation that now is coming into...

In the latest episode of Useful Idiots, Matt Taibbi and Katie Halper call up Krystal Ball of The Hill to discuss the Democratic primary, why centrism sucks, and how Trump appeals to his base.
“A lot of people say this guy’s a billionaire, he doesn’t get you, he doesn’t understand you,” explains Ball. “But they saw themselves in him because they saw in him another guy who had been viewed with contempt by the elites of the country. This is a bipartisan sentiment. It’s not just a Republican thing.

Fox News Channel is known best for primetime hosts like Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson, but its top executive is also enthusiastic about “The Five,” a panel show that airs each day at 5 p.m.
“No matter where it went, it was the best decision I ever made as a programming executive,” says Suzanne Scott, Fox News’ chief executive, in an interview. These days, Dana Perino, Greg Gutfeld, Juan Williams and Jesse Watters host the show with a guest sitting in each day.
Originally conceived in 2011 as a program that would give more air time to a bevy of Fox News contributors who did not have their own roost on the schedule, “The Five” has delivered for Fox News in times both easy and difficult. It usually airs each afternoon, but for a period of a few months in 2017, it moved to primetime as Fox News dealt with the one-two...

They’re getting it right at “The View.”
Abby Huntsman, who has worked at Fox News Channel as a general assignment reporter and co-host of the weekend edition of “Fox & Friends,” is expected to join the ABC daytime talk show, according to a person familiar with the situation. Huntsman, who is the daughter of Jon Huntsman, the U.S. Ambassador to Russia, would bolster the ranks of young Republicans around “The View’s” table, joining Meghan McCain.
ABC declined to make executives available for comment. Huntsman is expected to work her last stint on “Fox & Friends Weekend” this Saturday and Sunday, Fox News said in a statement.
Huntsman joins “The View” after several news outlets have sought to burnish their Republican credentials with Donald Trump in the White House and Republicans ascendant in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. MSNBC has found success with Nicolle Wallace, a former...

Rob Reiner, a director and longtime advocate for liberal Democratic causes in Hollywood, ripped into Robert De Niro for his “F— Trump” outburst at last Sunday’s Tony Awards, calling the foul-mouthed speech counterproductive.
“If you have any interest in trying to preserve the democracy, and put it in the hands of somebody who understands government, who isn’t self-dealing, who cares about this country and the people in this country, then you’re helping Trump,” Reiner said in an interview earlier this week on The Hill’s “Rising” TV show with co-hosts Krystal Ball and Buck Sexton.
“You’re helping Trump by saying ‘F— Trump’ because he can say, ‘Look at these people, these elitists,'” added Reiner, who defended De Niro’s right to share his opinion even as he found it tactically a mistake.
