"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always" is everything fans could have hoped for in a celebration of 30 years of "Power Rangers." This is a special that is full of fanservice, Easter eggs from even the deepest of deep cuts from across "Power Rangers" lore, and all sorts of cheesy jokes and cool martial arts moves — including Hip-Hop kido.
"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always" takes place after the death of one of the Rangers, with the rest mourning a loss of one of their own as Rita Repulsa returns in a new robot body to wreak chaos across the globe. Meanwhile, a new Ranger rises to take the mantle of the old generation, because Power Rangers are forever.
This is a special full of cool moments and loving homages to the franchise, including a rather emotional coda that pays tribute to two fallen rangers, Jason David Frank and Thuy Trang.

Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska better start practicing their best “Good morning, Charlie.” Elizabeth Banks has cast the three actresses in her upcoming “Charlie’s Angeles” reboot, which will mark the first time the female crime-fighters grace the big screen since “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” in 2013. The film is being touted as a reboot and not a revival, as the new actresses will be playing brand new characters who make up the “next generation of Angels working for the mysterious Charlie.” Banks, who is also a producer and helped write the script, will voice the new Bosley.
Stewart is clearly the most recognizable face of the new Angels, but her involvement is somewhat of a surprise given how resistant Stewart has been to joining major studio tentpoles in recent years. News broke last September that Stewart was circling a role in the film. You’d have to...

Disney is quickly building the live action Aladdin, and its poster really does look like it's taking us to a whole new world.
As you're probably aware, Disney is in the midst of remaking many of their animated classics as live action movies. Beauty and the Beast was a notable recent success at the box office, and 2016's Jon Favreau-directed The Jungle Book was an absolute delight (and has a sequel in the works). There are others in the works, including Mulan and Favreau's version of The Lion King, but let's not forget about Guy Ritchie's Aladdin.
Aladdin Trailer
There's no shortage of trailers and TV spots for Aladdin by now. However, Disney just released this brief clip, which – besides showcasing a necessary discussion about the importance of wish phrasing – gives you a peek at the interplay between Mena Massoud's Aladdin and Will Smith's Genie.

Following the end of the highly successful Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, many of the original Rangers distanced themselves from the show due to a variety of behind-the-scenes issues. However, thanks in large part to a immense and loving fanbase, many of the original Rangers have returned to the public eye over the past 2-3 years. Several original Rangers, including the original Red Ranger Austin St. John, the original Blue Ranger David Yost, and the original Black Ranger Walter Jones, have begun attending conventions where they are consistently amongst the show's most popular guests. Additionally, with the announcement of a new movie arriving in 2016, the Rangers' popularity has seen a huge uptick in recent months. All five living original Rangers have expressed interest in appearing in some capacity. The children of the '80s have been full of cranky beans lately about all the adaptations of our favorite childhood toys and board games into movie franchises. Jem! Barbie! Lego! Now the shoe is on the other foot, millennials! The live-action '90s series "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" is getting a big-screen reboot, courtesy of Lionsgate and the brand behind the franchise, Saban.
The Power Rangers are just a bunch of normal teens who are chosen by a creepy outer space sage named Zordon to fight seriously evil alien invaders. Jason Lee Scott, Kimberly Hart, Zack Taylor, Trini Kwan, and Billy Cranston are given special powers to battle Rita Repulsa and her minions. We can only hope and pray that Rita Repulsa is as wild, witchy, and weird as she is on the show.
Naturally, there have been a ton of tie-ins for the series over the years, like comic books,...

In the '90s, Amy Jo Johnson played Angel Grove high schooler/Pink Power Ranger Kimberly Hart on the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," before heading to college on "Felicity."And today, the actress turns 43!Johnson is actually one of the more fortunate Mmpr stars, going on to appear on the aforementioned WB show with Keri Russell and series like "The Division" and "Flashpoint." She's also got a daughter with husband Olivier Giner. But what about her former costars? It's a mixed bag, with arrests, sexuality struggles and, in one star's case, even death.Check out the gallery above to see where the original "Power Rangers" are now -- and see what they look like today. It's morphin' time! Twenty years ago today, on August 28, 1993, "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" premiered.
The kids show featured five teens (later six when the Green/White Ranger was added) being called upon to protect the world from Rita Repulsa. It originally starred Austin St. John as Jason Lee Scott, Thuy Trang as Trini Kwan, Amy Jo Johnson as Kimberly Hart, David Yost as Billy Cranston, Walter Emanuel Jones as Zack Taylor and Jason David Frank as Tommy Oliver.
When they transformed into the Power Rangers, the teens got a variety of weapons, including giant machines called Zords.
The Power Rangers fought a variety of monsters, some of them voiced by some of today's hottest TV stars, including "Breaking Bad" leading man Bryan Cranston. His last name was also used to name the Blue Ranger.
The success of "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" on TV and the subsequent merchandise paved the way...

Producer J.J. Abrams has established a great tradition within the "Mission: Impossible" franchise: in the last two "M:i" installments, Abrams has called in fan-favorite actors from his television past for brief but awesome roles. First Keri Russell popped into "Mission: Impossible III" in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it death scene, and today's newest movie — "Ghost Protocol" — introduces "Lost" veteran Josh Holloway to the franchise. Exactly what purpose the former James "Sawyer" Ford plays in the new "Mission" remains to be seen, but no matter how big or small his role, we're psyched to have him on board.
With Holloway following Russell's lead, we started wondering which other Abrams vets we'd like to see in future "Mission: Impossible" movies. Our wish list is past the jump!
» David Anders: If there's a cooler Abrams villain than Julian Sark, I haven't met him—and I've seen a lot of Abrams television! Anders' infinitely badass "Alias...
