Snoop Dogg is standing in solidarity with Hollywood writers who are demanding better pay and contracts for their work.
On Saturday, the rapper showed his support by sharing footage from a protest that took place in Los Angeles on Friday, uploading photos and videos from the rally.
“Got 2 support !!” Snoop captioned a post, which included images of Death Row Records pioneer, K Dubb, and Los Angeles based hip-hop radio host, Big Boy. While it’s unclear whether or not Snoop was in attendance, it appears he and fellow rapper Dr. Dre contributed to the protest by sponsoring food like wings, waffles and bagels for protesters, as seen below in photos of signage from the event.

Actor Ryan Reynolds is reported to be among those prepared to bid more than $1 billion US to buy the NHL’s Ottawa Senators and the team’s home arena, Canadian Tire Centre.
The team and venue are up for sale from the estate of previous owner Eugene Melnyk, who died in March 2022, according to a report in the Ottawa Sun. If the sale goes through at the reported level, it would make Ottawa the first NHL franchise to top a billion.
New York-based banker Galatioto Sports Partners, hired by the Melnyk family to broker the sale, has set a May 15 deadline for final bids.
Competition for the team has been fierce, and at one point included Los Angeles-based producer Neko Sparks, who reportedly was the highest bidder in the first round, offering more than $900 million. Seven groups, including the team of Reynolds and real estate magnate Christopher Bratty, have reportedly...

Back in October 2019, before the pandemic, we brought you news about American Civil War movie Freedom’s Path.
The feature, which charts the friendship between a Union soldier and a runaway slave who is helping facilitate the Underground Railroad, stars Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting), Rj Cyler (Me And Earl And The Dying Girl) and Gerran Howell (Catch 22). Post-production has just wrapped.
As it turned out, the project would mark the final stops on the journey of two veteran actors who died while the movie was in post-production: Thomas Jefferson Byrd, a frequent Spike Lee collaborator, and New Orleans native Carol Sutton, both of whom had supporting roles.
Both actors died in sad circumstances. Tony-nominee Byrd was murdered in Atlanta and Sutton died of complications from Covid.
Today, the production has chosen to release two images of the admired actors in their final film, marking the first official stills from the movie.
