With iZombie entering its fifth and final season next year, the CW series has one last chance to resolve a burning mystery: Whatever happened to Liv’s mother and brother?
When viewers last saw the pair (played by Molly Hagan and Nick Purcha) in the Season 2 premiere, Liv declined to donate her blood to little bro Evan on account of her being undead and all — not that her family was aware of why she was refusing to help. But since then, the existence of zombies has become public knowledge, so surely Evan and his mom Eva must now know the truth about Liv’s secret,...

iZombie co-creators Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright have a very specific niche that they’ve filled over the years, one full of headstrong female protagonists, cathartic voice-overs, noir-style plots, and some enjoyably quippy dialogue that can steamroll anyone caught off-guard. Veronica Mars, and her movie, sculpted a uniquely odd tone and voice around a predictable setting – a high school. iZombie, more than anything, is Thomas and Ruggiero-Wright succumbing to Mars‘ hints of darkness in full form. But, like with Mars, it’s characters first, and on that level iZombie is fast approaching Thomas’ previous series – and could surpass it given time.
Based on a comic published by DC (under Vertigo), the season 2 premiere picks up a few months after Major’s (Robert Buckley) shootout at Meat Cute, where dastardly Blaine (David Anders) ran a sort-of Seamless for zombies, delivering brains to his pale-skinned companions under the guise of a charcuterie store.

The Hub Network's kid-friendly frightfest "Spooksville" is heading into its spine-tingling mid-season finale on December 21st so before it takes off for the year, we sat down with three of its young stars, Katie Douglas, Nick Purcha, and Keean Johnson, for a Q&A.
Katie Douglas - "Sally Wilcox"
Q: What kind of response have you gotten from the show so far?
A: On social networking Sally’s quite a hit with the younger girls I noticed. They like her wardrobe, and the show is actually number two on the Hub Network, which is absolutely amazing.
Q: So tell me a little bit about what you thought when you first heard about the show, about doing something scary like this.
A: When I first heard about the audition, I read the description that it used to be a book so I looked everywhere for print copies, but I actually didn’t get to find it.
