Survivor sisters Kim Wolfe and Chelsea Meissner reunited to celebrate Meissner’s pregnancy. Along with other friends Wolfe recently hosted a baby shower for Meissner and can’t wait to see her as a mom.
Wolfe laughed about how motherhood makes Survivor look like child’s play. “Survivor is short,” she told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “Motherhood just keeps going and going and going.”
“But I’m super excited for her. She’s going to be an incredible mom,” Wolfe added who shares three kids with her husband, Bryan.

The cast of Carey Williams’ second feature film, “Emergency,” found themselves clicking right away, using that chemistry to drive a thriller that required several long nights of shooting.
Williams and the cast joined TheWrap’s virtual Sundance Studio to discuss the film, which stars Rj Cyler, Donald Elise Watkins and Sebastian Chacon as a trio of college students of color who find a drunk white girl had broken into their apartment and passed out. Realizing the police will wrongly suspect them of rape if they call 911, the three decide to drive her to a hospital, all the while being tailed by the girl’s sister and some of her friends who are scared when she didn’t respond to her calls.
Cyler told TheWrap that he immediately agreed to work with Williams again after starring in his feature debut “R#J,” an adaptation of “Romeo and Juliet” that also premiered at Sundance.

When “Survivor: Winners at War” host Jeff Probst reads the final votes of Season 40 (from the comfort of his own home), whose name will you be rooting for to see on the parchment? As of this writing, only nine castaways remain in the running to take home the series-high prize of $2 million, with one more scheduled to join them from the Edge of Extinction at a later date. Vote in our poll below for the person you hope wins “Survivor 40” on May 13, and then be sure to defend your choice in the comments section.

Wednesday’s season premiere of “Survivor: Island of the Idols” was one of the show’s strongest, certainly of the last 10 seasons, but quite possibly among the best in its 19-year history. We are so high on the premiere that it’s giving us hope that producers have course-corrected some of the poor editing and meandering storylines that plagued the last few seasons. Four seasons ago Ben Driebergen‘s eventual win was blatantly obvious from the jump due to his heroic editing and just last season the “Edge of Extinction” twist corrupted the tail end of a season where the story was forced to focus on endgame players that would eventually lose to Chris Underwood, a player who was in the game proper for only 13 of 39 days,

Rather than selecting returning players unilaterally and listening to fans complain about the latest return for Rupert or a confusing return for a castaway even superfans don't remember, "Survivor" has left the decision somewhat up to America to determine the 20 castaways for Season 31. On Wednesday (May 6) at the end of the latest episode of the less-than-lackluster "Survivor: Worlds Apart," CBS formally announced what had long been rumored across the Interwebs. There are 32 candidates up for the "Second Chance" season. As the word "second" implies, this season will only be open to one-time former players who didn't win, so all of your Hantzes and Ruperts are out. Thank God. Instead, this group of 32 includes contestants going back to original "Survivor: Borneo" runner-up Kelly Wigglesworth. And then there are five candidates from the current season, including two who haven't been eliminated yet, which is either an annoying spoiler or not, but I'm...

Survivor contestant Caleb Bankston died Tuesday in a tragic train accident at the age of 26.
Bankston competed on Survivor: Blood vs. Water in 2013 with his fiancé, Colton Cumble, who previously participated in Survivor: One World.
Though he was eliminated before the finale, coming in ninth place, Bankston was a popular contestant and his fellow contestants have nothing but good things to say about their time spent together.
“While playing Survivor with Colton, he would talk about his boyfriend, Caleb, around the clock 24/7. Within seconds of meeting Caleb at the finale and Survivor events, it’s no wonder why he raved about him. You were instantly drawn to his big smile, warm spirit and Southern charm. May God rest his soul…gone too soon,” said Survivor: One World contestant Sabrina Thompson.

Upolu, Samoa, the South Pacific island where Sabrina Thompson fought it out as a contestant on CBS's reality series "Survivor," was worlds away from the classroom in Brownsville, Brooklyn where she'd previously spent five years teaching high school kids. But ultimately, Brownsville would prove to be her most significant source of inspiration.
"Brownsville is the part of Brooklyn that's just untouched and ... I saw kids with lots of talent, but all they thought of was what they could accomplish within their four-block radius. It was mind-blowing to me. You had 18-year-olds who had never been to Manhattan," Thompson explained to the Huffington Post, recalling the experience that has spawned her "Dream Big" project, a photo exhibit, which she unveiled at Foto Care Gallery in New York City this week.

It isn't all that often that you hear a "Survivor" contestant explain to the Jury that their biggest strategic move was not trying their hardest. That was a key part of the argument laid out by Sabrina Thompson in Sunday's "Survivor: One World" finale, as she attempted to sway the Jury with talk of the advantages of throwing certain challenges. It wasn't that that was Sabrina's only contribution to the newly competed "Survivor" season. In fact, she spent the opening episodes as one of the season's most prominent players. Sabrina Thompson was the "Survivor: One World" runner-up by a vote of 7 to 2. She tells Zap2it how proud she is to be a part of the first all-female Final 5 and that if she hadn't been in the finals, Kim Spradlin would've had her vote.
Are you glad you did "Survivor"? Was it everything you hoped it would be?
It really was everything I expected it would be times 10. A lot of people don't know, I was thrust into this game. I had three and a half weeks to prepare for it ... I really surprised myself as far as handling the different personalities and being able to contain my extrovert personality. I can be very aggressive in my personality and I know as an African-American woman, I have to tone it down because of stereotypes that we often get as loud and aggressive and that's not what I'm all about at all.

Los Angeles (AP) -- "Survivor: One World" should have probably just been called "Survivor: Kim's World."Kim Spradlin (center) not only won the CBS reality competition's $1 million grand prize Sunday, the crafty 29-year-old bridal shop owner from San Antonio, Texas, also brought the alliance that she helped form at the game's outset to the final tribal council all while engineering the dismissal of each member of the show's nine-person jury of former players."I strategized until I was blue in the face," said Spradlin. The jury ultimately voted for Spradlin over her allies, 33-year-old high school teacher Sabrina Thompson of New York and 26-year-old medical saleswoman Chelsea Meissner of Charleston, S.C. Kim Spradlin isn't the only "Survivor: One World" winner. Ok, technically she is — that cool $1 million is firmly in her bank account — but the season's four finalists can also take comfort in knowing that they made "Survivor" history together: For the first time in 24 seasons, there was not a single man left standing among the final five contestants.
The feat is all the more impressive considering where the women began. At the outset of "One World," the two tribes were separated on gender lines, with the men of Manono showcasing their clear physical advantage with two early immunity wins. It certainly didn't help that the women of Salani were turning on each other, with in-fighting dominating much of their air time in the season's earliest episodes.
