DC Studios has cast Superman and Supergirl, leaving us to wonder who's next. Lanterns appears to be taking shape, while Booster Gold is also said to be close to starting production (rumour has it the title character has secretly been cast).
While we strongly recommend taking the following with a pinch of salt given the source, Film Front claims to have learned who the three frontrunners are to play the Dcu's Booster Gold.
Bigger stories than this have been broken by smaller outlets in the past, and that's why we're not completely dismissing the story!
According to the site, Dylan Playfair, Fionn Whitehead, and Patrick Schwarzenegger are all screen-testing for the role of Booster. It's unclear which of them has potentially been cast or even whether any of them are still in the running.

In conversation with uInterview founder Erik Meers, Letterkenny actors Michelle Mylett and Dylan Playfair reflected on the Canadian show’s final season.
Letterkenny is focused on a rural community in Ontario, where residents are primarily descendants of Irish immigrants who sought refuge from the devastating Great Famine. Cliques exist throughout the community, from Hicks to Skids to Hockey Players. Nearly every episode begins with a textual introduction that sets the stage with, “There are 5000 people in Letterkenny. These are their problems.”
When asked for favorite on and off-screen moments, Mylett shared, “When we did the Mother Hutchins scene around the dining room table… it’s just so deeply unsettling and crass, and we were laughing so hard, and the crew was laughing, it was just one of those ones where you’re like, ‘Oh this might piss some people off but it’s definitely going to make an impact one way or another.

How are you now? It’s the end of an era for the cast of Letterkenny, a beloved Canadian sitcom focusing on the hicks, skids, hockey players, and degens of rural Ontario. Created by Jared Keeso and developed by Keeso and Jacob Tierney, Letterkenny might as well be required viewing for Canadian citizens. For 12 seasons, the cast of Letterkenny have fast-talked their way through an astonishing amount of social commentary, rolled up their sleeves for epic scraps, and delivered many of the best hockey chirps you’ll ever hear. The show is populated by unforgettable characters who, throughout the series, form unlikely friendships with locals who push the boundaries of what it means to be part of a community.
We had the pleasure of speaking with Letterkenny cast members about the final season of the beloved sitcom, including Dylan Playfair (Reilly), Michelle Mylett (Katy), K. Trevor Wilson (Squirrelly Dan), Andrew...

Pitter-patter, let's get at 'er, because the Canadian comedy series "Letterkenny" is back for its 11th season. What started out as a YouTube web series called "Letterkenny Problems" has since grown into one of the funniest and most popular shows on TV, following the residents of Letterkenny, a fictional rural town in Ontario based on show creator Jared Keeso's hometown.
The residents of the small community fall under three major groups: the Hicks, the Skids, and the Hockey Players, but all three are ready for a brew, a brawl, or a beaut at any given opportunity. Whether it's chorin', sharing a Puppers with your best bud, or trading fisticuffs, the residents of "Letterkenny" do it faster, tougher, and with snappier wit than anyone else on the planet. With the return of the show just around the corner, here's everything you big shoots need to know to prepare, and more.

Ducks fly together. It was true in the 90s, and it’s still true in the new Disney+ series “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” — they’re just far more exclusive about who they’ll fly with now.
In this continuation, the Mighty Ducks are no longer the scrappy underdogs, and instead have become the “if you’re not a winner, you’re a loser” team. They’re led by Coach T (Dylan Playfair) who is blunt and apathetic, who cuts our new hero Evan Morrow from the team without so much as a sympathetic pat on the shoulder. He simply says “At this age, if you can’t be great at hockey, it’s like…don’t bother.

Whether lacing up against the peewee league’s elite Hawks, Team Iceland at the Junior Goodwill Games or Eden Hall’s dominant varsity team, The Mighty Ducks built a lasting legacy as the scrappy underdogs who play the game fairly and still end up on top.
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (premiering Friday, March 26) flips the script on the iconic team, who are now the bad guys in the Disney+ series created by Steve Brill (who wrote all three films). Now a powerhouse organization led by Coach T (The Descendants’ Dylan Playfair), the Ducks operate under a cutthroat ideology in which winning is everything.

That sound you hear is every millennial quacking. Twenty-nine years after “The Mighty Ducks” skated into our hearts, introduced the Flying V and the Triple Deke, and launched not just two sequels, 1994’s “D2: The Mighty Ducks” and 1996’s “D3: The Mighty Ducks,” but an actual NHL team, the Mighty Ducks are flying again in Disney+’s new series “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers,” premiering Friday, March 26. Except this flock has a new name altogether.
Developed by Steve Brill, the original creator of the trilogy, Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa, the 10-episode sequel series picks up in present-day Minneapolis and flips the script, a la “Cobra Kai,” as the Mighty Ducks are now the dominant force in youth hockey. After Coach T (Dylan Playfair) cuts her 12-year-old son, Evan Morrow (Brady Noon), from the Ducks, Alex (Lauren Graham) forms a new team of underdogs. Their name? The Don’t Bothers,...

There are only so many stories to tell, especially in the picked-over underdog-sports genre. So it doesn’t feel egregious that the new Disney+ series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers blatantly rips off the premise of Cobra Kai by making the heroes from the movies — a ragtag-turned-champion youth hockey team — into the bad guys. After all, the overarching plot of Cobra Kai — unhappy middle-aged man finds renewed purpose by teaching kids about the sport he loved in his youth — is more or less the same as the one that introduced...

I think you all know me by now and realise that I am willing to give pretty much anything a fair shake. The Sinners synopsis did read like a bit of a change pace as well, moving into the more teen angs drama territory with a promise of some sort of “Mean Girls meets The Craft” hybrid. The thing about romantic comedies is that they can create a false impression of how dating works. It's one thing to enjoy them on the screen, but carrying that level of optimism into real life is, whilst endearing, liable to lead to disaster. Bray (Chris Ball) sees himself as the hero of that kind of film, somebody for whom everything is destined to work out, even though the guy of his dreams is straight, uses a Christian dating portal and is under the false impression that Bray is a girl.
Bray's plan was to meet Shawn (Dylan Playfair) at the upcoming Summerland music festival, where, he was sure, he could persuade him to explore a hidden attraction to men. He was planning to travel there with his best friend, Oliver (Rory J Saper). The problem is, he's been using photographs of Oliver's girlfriend Stacey (Maddie Phillips) to complete his female online.

Three Gen Z friends head to a desert music festival and romantic hijinks ensue in this breezy roadtrip charmer
Not to be confused with the British period drama of the same name starring Gemma Arterton and Gugu Mbatha-Raw that came out a few weeks back, this Summerland is an American-made coming-out and coming-of-age comedy, low budget but impressively high in concept. The setup posits three Gen Z young adults – straight couple Stacey (Maddie Phillips) and Oliver (Rory J Saper) with Oliver’s best friend, newly out gay man Bray on a roadtrip from Washington state to California to attend a desert-set music festival called Summerland, which looks like a cross between Burning Man and Coachella. The interesting queer twist is that Bray has been catfishing a hunky Christian guy named Shawn (Dylan Playfair) by pretending to be Stacey, convinced that if he could only lure Shawn into meeting him in...

"I'm not going to be a third wheel to some... blind date of yours!" Superchill has released the first official trailer for Summerland, a coming-of-age road trip comedy from filmmakers known as "Lankyboy". Not to be confused with the romantic drama also titled Summerland, which also opened this summer. This film is a comedy that follows Bray, a teenager who poses as a girl on an online dating website. He falls for a guy who he believes is in the closet. Bray and his best friend Oliver plan a trip to Summerland, a music festival to meet him. The only problem? Bray is pretending to be his best friends girlfriend, who ends up coming on the trip with them. The sun-kissed and never-been-kissed indie coming-of-age comedy follows three friends all trying desperately to find themselves, while trying not to drive off the road in the process. Starring Maddie Phillips, Rory J. Saper,...

"Living the dream, aren't we?" Gravitas Ventures has unveiled an official trailer for an indie hockey drama titled Odd Man Rush, based on the memoirs of small-time hockey player Bill Keenan. "A hockey star once on the fast-track to the NHL tells of how he overcame multiple obstacles to find fulfillment and redemption in the strange world of European minor-league professional hockey." Jack Mulhern stars in the film as Bobby Sanders, a Harvard hockey player who lands in Sweden's minor leagues. His relationship with the girl at the local market forces him to confront the reality of his childhood NHL dream before the Hockey Gods intervene. Also starring Dylan Playfair, Elektra Kilbey, Trevor Gretzky, Alexa Lemieux, and Kazy Tauginas. I like that this doesn't look like every other hockey film, about fame and success. Seems a more personal story about not reaching the NHL, and deciding life is better spent with ones you love.

When she realizes that the incident was a domestic abuse case, she takes matters into her own hands to overturn a system that would have otherwise failed him. Federici is producing under The Ninth House banner with partner Jake Helgren. Shih and Federici first worked together on...

Hulu is launching Canadian comedy Letterkenny on October 14 as the cult hit segues into a Hulu Original for its seventh season.
The comedy, which is set in a small rural Canadian community featuring hicks, skids and hockey players, debuted last Julu on the digital platform with Hulu picking up all six seasons of the New Metric Media-produced show as an acquisition.
Season seven marks the first run to become a Hulu Original with the company taking exclusive U.S. streaming rights to all upcoming seasons of the show. The deal was done by New Metric Media and Dhx Media. It airs on Bell Media’s Crave in Canada.
Created by and starring Jared Keeso, the half-hour comedy revolves around the dustups Wayne (Keeso) and his pals get into with their small-town rivals. For the hicks, skids and hockey players of Letterkenny, getting your ass kicked is a legitimate concern on a day-to-day basis.
