Jack Antonoff corralled an intriguing mix of musicians — including Phoebe Bridgers, the 1975’s Matty Healy, and Phish’s Trey Anastasio — for a performance of the Jackson Browne-penned Nico classic, “These Days.”
Stereogum shared a video of the special performance (and several others), which also featured vocal contributions from Bridgers’ boygenius bandmate Lucy Dacus and Weyes Blood’s Natalie Mering. Meanwhile, Antonoff, Healy, and Anastasio combined to create a tangle of finger-picked guitars.

Grammy-winning trio fun. is back with some previously unreleased tunes. The best part about "Selections & B-Sides From 'Aim & Ignite'"? You can grab it as a free download below.
Nate Ruess, Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff (also known as Lena Dunham's boyfriend) won Grammys for Best New Artist and Song of the Year at this year's awards show. They also performed during the telecast, with Ruess belting out "Carry On" while being drenched by fake rain (the Grammys took place in Los Angeles' Staples Center, which has a roof).
The trio also performed during this year's inauguration festivities. Ruess told The Huffington Post that the band often has politics on its mind. "Obama had a big year, and we just started a non-profit that's working as a satellite for a lot of Lgbtq non-profits," Ruess said. "So to see the president come out in favor of that was a massive thing for us.

The biggest news of the Grammy awards last night was the "out" and proud relationship of singers Rihanna and Chris Brown, despite their domestic abuse issues of Grammys past. New bands Fun, Mumford and Sons, Gotye were the top winners at the 55th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday. Brit artists Mumford & Sons collected album of the year for "Babel," their second album release. The New York act Fun! took best new artist. "We Are Young," the band's massive hot anthemic ditty created with Janelle Monae, took best song for writers Nate Ruess, Jack Antonoff, Andrew Dost and Jeff Bhasker. Vocalist Ruess joked when accepting the award: "This is in HD, you can see our faces, and we are not...

They’ve definitely paid their dues over the years, and now the member of fun. are the proud recipients of a coveted Grammy Awards.
Earlier tonight (February 10) Nate Ruess, Andrew Dost, and Jack Antonoff (and songwriter Jeffrey Bhasker) were given the iconic Song of the Year trophy for their hit “We Are Young,” and it couldn’t have gone to more deserving folks.
Of course, it wasn’t a cakewalk for the “Some Nights” rockers from New York City, as they had to top Ed Sheeran, Miguel, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Kelly Clarkson, all of whom had strong showings.
Fun’s “We Are Young” found favor with all kinds of, well, young people since its release thanks to a feature on “Glee” and inclusion on a 2012 SuperBowl commercial for Chevrolet.

How does fun. follow up Taylor Swift's everything-and-the-circus-too performance? By literally controlling Mother Nature, that's how! Nate Ruess, Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff hit the stage to perform their latest single, "Carry On." And while they kicked it off fairly stripped down—just a mic, piano, guitar and some twinkly lights—they ended with a storm: Yep, the "We Are Young" band made it rain on stage as the room sang along to their catchy tune. Pretty impressive, eh? The only way it could have been better is if the camera had cut away to Jack's Gf Lena Dunham rocking along. (P.S. Lena is in the building to...

New York — Fun. is learning to have fun – with less alcohol and more sleep.
Lead singer Nate Ruess says the band's successful year has taught him "that I need to take better care of myself."
"Really, that's been the big thing," Ruess said in a phone interview from Detroit last week. "(The year) really put us through the ringer as far as everything is concerned, and we didn't get a lot of sleep, so it was pretty rough. But what was cool is that I quit smoking and I cut back on drinking and I just made sleep a priority – and I think that's what all of us did."
The trio, which includes guitarist Jack Antonoff and keyboardist Andrew Dost, has been on a wild ride since its dark pop-rock sophomore album, "Some Nights," was released last February.

And the winners of the 2013 Grammy Awards are ... the men. Male artists dominate the nominees in the top categories for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, announced Wednesday night (Dec. 5).
Topping the list with six nominations each are Jay-z, Kanye West, Fun., Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean and Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.
Taylor Swift, whose new album "Red" won't be eligible for consideration until 2014, earned a single nod for Record of the Year with her hit breakup single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
The biggest snubs are teen heartthrobs Justin Bieber and One Direction, who cleaned up at the American Music Awards, and Rihanna. The "Diamonds" singer earned a trio of nods (pop solo performance for her "Where Have You Been," rap-sung collaboration nomination with Jay-z for "Talk That Talk" and short-form music video for "We Found Love") but is Mia from the major categories.
