When Fox Weather’s Nick Kosir first started dancing on social media in 2019, he never dreamed he’d hoof his way onto one of his favorite shows, “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Ahead of his guest segment on Wednesday’s episode, in which he goes toe to toe with Season 16 champ Bailey Muñoz and All-Star Comfort, Kosir chatted with TheWrap about how he got started as a dancer, how he’s used his social media platform to raise money for worthy causes, and his favorite “So You Think Can Dance” winner.
TheWrap: You started dancing because you had to do 12 social posts a day for your job, is that right?
Kosir: Yeah, that was when I was working for the Fox affiliate in Charlotte [North Carolina] in 2019. Our bosses told us that we had to post 12 times on social media per day, and as you can imagine, after about a week,...

Ballroom specialist Mary Murphy was as shocked as any fan that Fox suddenly decided to call off the 17th season of its popular reality talent competition, “So You Think You Can Dance,” due to the ongoing pandemic. Recent singing competitions such as “American Idol” and “The Voice” were able to find a way to keep their competitors safe by filming them remotely.
But dancing involves close contact with others and “Sytycd” relies on pairings between partners who specialize in different styles such as tap, ballroom, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop while doing just-learned routines in front of a live audience. There are also group numbers that require the opposite of social distancing.

Fox originally renewed its dance competition series “So You Think You Can Dance” for a 17th season in February. But that was before the effects of the coronavirus pandemic were fully known. Since that time, other reality series that rely on live performances like “American Idol” and “The Voice” had to find a way to film their shows remotely.
But Fox decided to be safe rather than sorry and announced the show would not air this summer. A Fox representative issued this statement: “Production on Season 17 of ‘Sytycd’ will not be moving forward due to health and governmental restrictions in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, while we were looking forward to its return this summer, we cannot meet the standards we’ve set for viewers and contestants in light of the show’s unique format, intricate production schedule and limited time.”

When Fox officially renewed its dance competition series “So You Think You Can Dance” for a 17th season in February, little did they know reality shows that rely on live taping such as “American Idol” and “The Voice” would no longer be a reality, given the need for social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This week, Fox renewed its venerable reality talent show “So You Think You Can Dance” for a 17th season. Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Laurieann Gibson will return as judges while Cat Deeley returns as host. Not returning is Season 3 breakdancing specialist and Season 16 judge Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval.
The competition will kick off again this summer. Once again, it will feature contestants whose ages range from 18 to 30. Auditions will be held in Miami, New York and Los Angeles in March and April.
Last season the show made history by crowning a b-boy for the first time as America’s Favorite Dancer. At just 5-feet-tall, Bailey Munoz, 19, proved to be a whirling dervish who rarely made a misstep no matter what dance style he had to perform.

Turns out, ‘So You Think You Can Dance” devotees like what Season 16 winner Bailey Munoz likes. Out of the numbers he did on the show’s finale, 36% chose his jazzy Ray Leeper duet with runner-up Mariah Russell to Inxs’ “Need You Tonight” –complete with bare chest and sexy black-leather outfits — as their favorite. The routine revealed a more studly side to this b-boy, a guy who is so sweet and cute that he always gave Mariah flowers when they practiced together.
In second place, with 26% of the vote, was his Aloe Blackstone jazz routine with second runner-up and contemporary dancer Gino Cosculluela to “The Girl From Ipanema,” as they both tried to catch the eye of the imaginary lovely on the beach.

Sure, we had a laugh during the Season 16 finale when host Cat Deeley called out new “So You Think You Can Dance” judge Laurieann Gibson for her “cray-cray” way of describing her reactions to the contestants while adding that her Yoda-like observations were nutty but “in the cutest way possible.”
A sample revelation: “Not only am I watching the dancers from the moment they step on stage, I’m smelling them. I know what it smells like to have passion.” A substantial 16% of “Sytycd” devotees who answered our poll got a giggle out of Laurieann’s way of expressing herself.
Meanwhile, Cat mocked oh-so-sensitive fellow newbie judge and b-boy Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval for being driven to tears by nearly every routine he liked. But just 8% got a kick from his weepy montage. That seems to cancel out any possible Kleenex endorsement for the show’s alum. The moment was slightly...

Another season of Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” reality show has come to a close. But Gold Derby’s Daniel Montgomery, Susan Wloszczyna and Denton Davidson have some lingering thoughts about the outcome of the Season 16 finale that aired on Monday.
Let’s start with the winner, 19-year-old b-boy Bailey Munoz, the first-ever break-dancer to win the title of America’s favorite dancer. As judge Mary Murphy told Gold Derby, he was the Rudy of this year’s competition as he rose to every occasion and relished the challenge of doing every style of dance from cha cha and jazz to Bollywood and Broadway.
Says Daniel about Bailey’s triumph, “He definitely had the strongest rooting factor, he was the most versatile. It wasn’t a foregone conclusion but by the end it felt like there was a pretty strong groundswell of support for him.” As for the three contemporary finalists,...

Season 16 of Fox’s”So You Think You Can Dance” has come to a close with 19-year-old b-boy Bailey “Bailrok” Munoz taking the title of America’s favorite dancer. The key to success for the first-ever break-dancer to win the top spot was his versatility when it came to different types of choreography. The 5-foot-tall ball of energy was rarely daunted by routines outside of his comfort zone — save for maybe the cha cha. But this gifted entertainer always gave it his all.
In fact, Bailey was featured in nine routines of various permutations, including five duos – three with partner Mariah Russell, one with All-Star Koine Iwasaki and another with Gino Cosculluella. He was also took part in a male trio with Gino and ballroom dancer Ezra Sosa. And he participated in three group numbers with the rest of the Top 10 contestants. “I felt like a superhero up there,” says Bailey Munoz about winning season 16 of “So You Think You Can Dance.” “I was representing not only myself, but my family and all the people that were voting and rooting for me. I just wanted to make everyone proud.” Munoz spoke to Gold Derby editors Daniel Montgomery and Susan Wloszczyna less than 24 hours after his coronation as America’s favorite dancer, and he admitted that the victory “has definitely not hit me yet. This all feels so surreal.” Listen to our exclusive interview above.
Munoz is the first b-boy ever to win “Sytycd,” and going into the live shows with the rest of the top 10, he knew that many of his fellow competitors were “technically at a higher level than me, so I knew every performance that I did I had to give it 100-percent,” he explains. “Whatever style was given every single week,...

As expected, Bailey Munoz, 19, who hails from Las Vegas, won Season 16 of “So You Think You Can Dance.” While six other guys whose speciality was some form of street moves and hip hop have won Fox’s reality talent show in the past, Munoz — who is Filipino-American — is the first break-dancing specialist to do so.
While we got to witness once again on the live finale how b-boy Bailey was versatile in almost every type of choreography, from Bollywood to Broadway and beyond, the last show also featured some memorable non-fancy-footwork moments as well with several aimed at the judges.
Moment No. 1: As host Cat Deeley declared early in the opening of the show, she was going to have fun with the new judges, starting with choreographer to the stars Laurieann Gibson. Said Cat, “We all know she is a fountain of inspirational words and wisdom. But let’s be honest.

Munoz was the only b-boy left in the competition against a trio of contemporary specialists, but you wouldn’t know it from how well he picks up choreography in a variety of styles. In last week’s “Top 4 Perform,” the final competitive performance episode of the season, Munoz danced Broadway, Bollywood, hip-hop, and smooth jazz with all of his competitors and with all-star Comfort Fedoke. And Bollywood was the only dance for which he received any criticism from the judges — and even that was pretty mild.

The best news about this week’s ‘So You Think You Can Dance” penultimate episode of Season 16? No eliminations. Instead we were treated to the Top 4 finalists – Gino Cosculluela, Sophie Pittman, Bailey Munoz and Mariah Russell – doing “every permutation of duo, with the other three, and with All-Stars and an opening group routine. They all performed at least five times, but I might have missed one or two,” says Gold Derby senior editor Daniel Montgomery.
The foursome all put on quite a show ranging from Bollywood and Broadway to the dreaded quick step and more than a few hip-hop routines. Since they can’t grouse about who got cut this week, Daniel asks fellow senior editor Susan Wloszczyna who she thinks among the quartet made the strongest impression. She answers the same way the audience responded after his solo by chanting, “Bailey! Bailey! Bailey!”

Am I the only one who thought watching b-boy Bailey Munoz and All-Star Comfort Fedoke pair up was pure hip-hop bliss on “So You Think You Can Dance’s” penultimate show of Season 16? Judge and fellow b-boy Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval for one applauded how Bailey brought Bay Area elements to his routine that judge Mary Murphy described as “bad to the bone” — especially after he flashed a grill. “There was definitely some heated discussion to put Bailey into this top five guys,” says “So You Think You Can Dance” judge Mary Murphy to Gold Derby senior editors Daniel Montgomery and Susan Wloszczyna about contestant Bailey Munoz. The five-foot-tall b-boy breakout on season 16 of Fox’s reality competition show is one of four hopefuls competing for the title of America’s favorite dancer on the show’s finale that airs at 8 p.m. Et/Pt Sept. 16.
“His size was a consideration,” explains the ballroom specialist who has been part of the show since it began in 2005. In addition, “it’s always scary when we put a b-boy in and will he be able to cope with all the material he is given because they are not trained dancers. They’re not even used to doing choreography.”

In addition, “it’s always scary when we put a b-boy in and will he be able to cope with all the material he is given because they are not trained dancers. They’re not even used to doing choreography.”

Pro dancers Artem Chigvintsev and Sharna Burgess weren’t welcome on “Dancing with the Stars” this season, but “So You Think You Can Dance” invited them over to choreograph a routine for “Top 4 Perform” night. However, did they end up dooming their dancers with a challenging quickstep, or did Gino Cosculluela and Mariah Russell end up rising to the challenge? Scroll down to watch their performance below.
We don’t see a lot of quicksteps on “Sytycd” these days. The style is so difficult to master that contestants who attempted it were seldom able to put their best foot forward — literally and figuratively. So it was a vote of confidence in Cosculluela and Russell that the show tasked them with this difficult dance on the night when each of them also had to perform four other times. But it was still a risk. After all, Cosculluela and Russell are both contemporary specialists,...

One of the best things about “Top 4 Perform” night on “So You Think You Can Dance” is the mix-and-match pairings. Every dancer performed once with every other dancer, leading to potentially revelatory match-ups. That was the case when b-boy Bailey Munoz and contemporary phenom Gino Cosculluela joined forces towards the end of the night. This time they were both B-boys, though in this case the B stood for Broadway. Scroll down to watch their performance at the bottom of this post.
Munoz and Cosculluela performed a Broadway routine choreographed by Al Blackstone in which the dancers played friends who find themselves in love with the same woman. I was concerned when I heard that because that story concept is basically the “No homo!” of same-sex dance numbers. But I was already thoroughly charmed by the dancers’ interplay during their rehearsals. Even though Cosculluela is known for his spotless technique, he...

It all comes down to this. “So You Think You Can Dance” has narrowed the competition to its final four dancers: Gino Cosculluela, Bailey Munoz, Sophie Pittman and Mariah Russell. On “Top 4 Perform” night that quartet danced for the last time before viewers cast their votes for America’s favorite dancer. So who made the best last impression? And who do you think deserves to win? Find out below in our live blog with all the minute-by-minute developments as they happen.
Going into Monday night’s show Munoz was our odds-on-favorite to win, overtaking his partner Russell, whom our readers thought was the front-runner for most of the live shows. The judges have repeatedly dubbed them the couple to beat — though of course, even if they are the best duo of the competition, there can ultimately be only one winner.

According to the “So You Think You Can Dance” fans we’ve polled in our predictions center this summer, contemporary dancer Mariah Russell has been the season 16 front-runner almost since the top eight. But now that we’re down to the final four, we think there’s a new dancer to beat. So who has overtaken Russell on our racetrack, and can the former favorite still find her way back to the top after tonight’s final competitive performances?
As of this writing Russell’s own dance partner, b-boy Bailey Munoz, has jumped into the lead with 8/13 odds of being named America’s favorite dancer. That may be because of his strong showing on “Top 6 Perform” night, when he had not only a stellar duet with Russell, but also one with “Sytycd” all-star Koine Iwasaki, another showstopping solo routine, and a powerful group number with the other male dancers. Meanwhile,...

The stakes are high this week on “So You Think You Can Dance” as three contemporary contestants — Gino Cosculluela, Sophie Pittman and Mariah Russell — plus b-boy Bailey Munoz compete for viewer votes to become America’s favorite dancer.
Right now, Gold Derby-ites are picking Bailey aka Bailrok as the one to beat. Like last season’s champ Hannahlei Cabanilla, the Las Vegas native is Filipino-American. Even though he is just 19 (and admitted on air that he doesn’t have a driver’s license), the 5-foot-tall whirling dervish has already had plenty of experience of basking in the spotlight.
The dancing bug initially bit when Bailey was in the first grade. At age 9 in 2010, Bailey got a spot on the semi-finals of “America’s Got Talent” as part of a duo called Future Funk.

The judges on “So You Think You Can Dance” have been going back and forth about who the couple to beat this season is: Bailey Munoz and Mariah Russell, or Gino Cosculluela and Sophie Pittman. But after Monday night’s “Top 6 Perform” show, the fans we polled say it’s not even close. Scroll down to see our complete poll results.
According to a whopping 72% of respondents, Munoz and Russell were the show’s best duo. And the judges seemed to agree after their sizzling jazz routine to “Need You Tonight” by Inxs. Laurieann Gibson had even just called Cosculluela and Pittman the team to beat a few minutes earlier and then said to Munoz and Russell, “I stand corrected.” And though Munoz was unsure of how sexy he could be, Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval called him the “Filipino Magic Mike.”

This week, the Top 6 dancers were cut to the final 4 and, as usual, Gold Derby senior editors Daniel Montgomery and Susan Wloszczyna had more than a few thoughts about the show’s outcome. Especially since this is the last time that judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval and Laurieann Gibson will have a say in the matter.
“The two eliminated were — probably not too surprisingly — Madison Jordan and Ezra Sosa,” Daniel states. “Which leaves the Top 4, going into the finals, Bailey Munoz, Gino Cosculluela, Sophie Pittman and Mariah Russell.”
Susan’s reaction to the results? “I kind of realized that it was going to be over for Madison pretty much. I think in some routines she has personality, like that Bob Fosse thing she did two weeks ago. That was perfect for her. But she’s not as versatile.”

Ezra Sosa had nothing to lose during “Top 6 Perform” night on “So You Think You Can Dance.” America’s votes had landed him in the bottom two in both of the preceding weeks, so he had to pull out all the stops to have any hope of reaching the final four. And pull out the stops he did. His contemporary duet with all-star Gaby Diaz was one of the night’s best performances, so good that it brought the judges (and Sosa himself) to tears. Scroll down to watch it below.
This contemporary number brought Sosa together with two “Sytycd” all-stars for the price of one. There was season 12 champ Diaz, of course, but also season seven contestant Robert Roldan, who choreographed the routine about a relationship that has become a burden. When Roldan asked Sosa if he could relate to the subject, Sosa alluded to a relationship he had...

Who’s the couple to beat on “So You Think You Can Dance” this season has been up for debate in recent weeks. At first the judges thought it was clearly Bailey Munoz and Mariah Russell. Then Gino Cosculluela and Sophie Pittman gave them a run for their money after their previous partners had been eliminated. But on “Top 6 Perform” night, the judges swung back the other way: Munoz and Russell are truly the couple to beat. Scroll down to see the “sexy and smooth” routine that may just have sealed the deal for this dynamic duo.
After splitting up at the beginning of the night to perform routines with “Sytycd” all-stars, Munoz and Russell were reunited for a jazz routine choreographed by Ray Leeper and set to “Need You Tonight” by Inxs. “Sexy and smooth” was how Russell described it during rehearsals, and it’s hard to think of better adjectives for it.

Hey, "So You Think You Can Dance" fans. Tonight, September 2,2019, another Live performances/results show did indeed air, and another two unlucky dancers got sent packing at the end of it. The judges: Laurieann Gibson, Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval, Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe were all on hand to give their critiques. The final 6 dancers were featured tonight. They danced with returning All-Stars from various seasons. Tonight's Live results show kicked off with the final 6 dancers doing another group routine. It featured them dressed up as zombie's and doing a spooky dance number from choreographers Pharside & Phoenix. Right after that, Bailey Munoz and All-Star Koine Iwasaki hit the stage to perform a Broadway routine by choreographer Al Blackstone. Afterwards, Dominic said, "Bailey is an amazing dancer. So, I believed the character and performance." Laurieann said, "I would buy a ticket to any show that Bailey is in." Nigel said, "Bailey is...

“So You Think You Can Dance” was already a little like a church service on “Top 6 Perform” night: there were so many standing ovations that all that standing and sitting reminded me a bit of Catholic mass. But the last performance of the night was a religious experience unto itself. It featured the top three men — Ezra Sosa, Gino Cosculluela and Bailey Munoz — performing piece by choreographer Talia Favia to “Amen (Lcv Choir)” by Amber Run. Scroll down to watch it below.
Nigel Lythgoe didn’t just think the dancing and choreography were “sensational,” he also gave credit to the stunning lighting design for enhancing the ethereal mood of the piece. He also made a point of singling out Cosculluela for his technique and urged Sosa and Munoz to learn from him. It probably didn’t hurt that it was a contemporary dance and Cosculluela was the only contemporary specialist in that group.

Season 16 of “So You Think You Can Dance” is in the home stretch. Going into the Labor Day show on Monday night, September 2, six dancers went in, and by the end America’s votes decided the four finalists who would compete for the title. Find out what happened below in our live blog with all the minute-by-minute developments as they happen.
Contemporary dancers have ruled the live shows, taking 5 of the top 10 slots coming out of the Academy rounds. Their dominance was even greater in the top six; they made up two-thirds of this week’s remaining contestants: Madison Jordan, Gino Cosculluela, Sophie Pittman and Mariah Russell, who went up against lone b-boy Bailey Munoz and ballroom specialist Ezra Sosa. So there was a chance that contemporary could sweep the finals.

As longtime viewers of “So You Think You Can Dance” know, all routines are not created equal. Emotion-driven contemporary numbers about a break-up between lovers will have teary-eyed fans running to their devices to vote multiple times for the couple.
Meanwhile, a ethnic dance can lead to a feeling that the dancers are simply faking it. Also, choreography that relies too much on gimmicks or elaborate costumes can detract from the dance steps themselves.
As for ballroom duets, they can often lead to trouble if the male member of the team doesn’t have the physicality to lift their partner without making the audience hold their breaths and cross their fingers.

“So You Think You Can Dance” cut the competition from eight contestants to six this past Monday, but the front-runner remains the same, according to the combined predictions of fans who have given us their forecasts here in our predictions center. Mariah Russell is the favorite to claim the title as America’s favorite dancer. But her closest threat is quite close to her indeed: her partner Bailey Munoz is right on her heels, literally and figuratively.
Contemporary specialist Russell gets leading odds of 13/8 as of this writing, followed by Munoz with odds of 49/20. This comes after another live show where the judges described Russell as “perfection,” a “star” and a “stunning princess warrior.” She and Munoz performed two duets over the course of the night: a cha cha, then a contemporary number. The first of those was a challenge for the duo because of Munoz’s diminutive stature; he’s only five feet tall,...

The Top 8 dancers became the Top 6 this week on a super-sized two-hour episode of “So You Think You Can Dance.” Each contestant participated in no less than five routines — two group numbers, two duets and a solo. While Gold Derby senior editors Daniel Montgomery and Susan Wloszczyna enjoyed some of the performances, other attempts came up short.
As Daniel notes, last week two couples were broken up when tapper Eddie Hoyt and ballroom whiz Stephanie Sosa were eliminated. But this week a pair had to say goodbye, contemporary dancer Benjamin Castro and hip-hop specialist Anna Linstruth. Meanwhile, Madison Jordan and Ezra Sosa, the other team in the bottom two guys and girls, were saved by the judges.
Susan thinks that Benjamin and Anna were handicapped by their first routine — an attempt at Tahitian-style dancing. “That was the kiss of death,” she says. “Unless you are a Tahitian, it really doesn’t look right.

The “So You Think You Can Dance” judges had one of their toughest decisions to make on Monday at the end of “Top 8 Perform” night: contemporary dancer Benjamin Castro and ballroom dancer Ezra Sosa were the bottom two men based on America’s votes, but Mary Murphy, Nigel Lythgoe, Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval and Laurieann Gibson were unanimous in deciding that Sosa should stay and Castro should go. Was that the right call? The fans we polled were sharply divided. Scroll down to see our complete poll results.
Fewer than half of our respondents (40%) thought Castro deserved to be eliminated. In the first live show he and his partner Anna Linstruth were praised for their cha cha, and Castro got enough votes to stay safe from elimination. The following week he and Linstruth tried their luck with hip-hop; the judges loved him there too, but apparently viewers didn’t since that...

In the past week, a 26-pound tabby cat BeeJay who was up for adoption went viral as while being labeled a Chonk. Well, the first two-hour live show of the 16th season of “So You Think You Can Dance” was a bloated Chonk of an episode if there ever was one. Each of the eight remaining dancers had to take on five numbers — two group, two duets and one solo. Watching host Cat Deeley whiz through all the introductions was exhausting in itself.
But as is normally the case, some routines were more apt to be popular with the judges and better suited for the dancers involved than others. Face it, some styles of choreography just don’t pack the punch that others do. Or a otherwise talented contestant is saddled with more of a physical challenge than they can handle. Even a costume choice can be a problematic. Then...

Contemporary dancer Madison Jordan went into the “So You Think You Can Dance” season 16 live shows as the front-runner to win the competition, according to the combined predictions of fans who give us their forecasts here every week, but after two stellar live duets, Mariah Russell and Bailey Munoz have charged ahead. By the time “So You Think You Can Dance” is down to the top 10 of the season, inevitably someone talented is bound to go home in every elimination. Bailey Munoz and Mariah Russell certainly had the right “Tempo” on Monday night when they performed a hip-hop routine choreographed by Luther Brown to that song from Lizzo and Missy Elliott. They closed “Top 10 Perform, Round 2” with that routine, which got all four judges out of their seats for a standing ovation. Have they emerged as the front-runners to win the whole season?
Munoz is a b-boy, so hip-hop is second nature to him. Russell is a contemporary dancer, though, and sometimes contestants known for their elegance can struggle when trying to get down and dirty in a hip-hop number. But that didn’t seem to be a problem at all. Even while they were rehearsing the number Brown raved about how well she was picking up the steps, and Munoz admitted that he was the one who would have to try to keep up with her.

“This is another one of those pieces where you know the weight of it before it’s going to hit the air,” Travis Wall told us about the August 19 opening number on “So You Think You Can Dance” (watch it above). The readers we polled loved those dances too. However, the judges were “uncomfortable” with Eddie Hoyt‘s performance of jazz funk, though they praised his partner Sophie Pittman. And the technically gifted Gino Cosculluela got mixed reviews for his hip-hop dance opposite Stephanie Sosa.

Mariah Russell and Bailey Munoz gave the best duet performance in the first live show of “So You Think You Can Dance” season 16. That’s according to the readers we polled for their reactions after Monday night’s competition. Do you agree with your fellow fans? Scroll down to see the complete poll results, and refresh your memory with our live blog of “Top 10 Perform” night.
Russell and Munoz got nearly half of the vote in our poll (46%) for their “Love Shack” jazz routine choreographed by Emmy winner Mandy Moore, which opened the show with infectious energy that no other performance of the night quite matched. Ranked second according to our respondents was the emotional contemporary routine by Ezra Sosa and Madison Jordan with 33%. Judge Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval actually called that the best performance of the night, so he clearly didn’t vote enough times in our poll then.

“They were my favorite,” says Gold Derby senior editor Susan Wloszczyna about Bailey Munoz and Mariah Russell‘s performance in the first live episode of “So You Think You Can Dance” season 16. They were “just so happy to be with each other. They were fun to watch. He’s amazing. He’s a b-boy, and he did everything that he had to do and more.” But did the show throw another contestant under the bus? Watch Wloszczyna and fellow editor Daniel Montgomery discuss “Top 10 Perform” above.
Montgomery appreciates that “Sytycd” is all about pushing contestants out of their comfort zone, but he argues that tap dancer Eddie Hoyt has been pushed harder than anyone else. With “the hip-hop dance in the ‘Final Cut,’ and now doing jazz funk and then another hip-hop group routine with the other guys, it felt like they’re pushing him harder than anyone else,” says Montgomery.
