After finally finding out that Prometheus is, in fact, Adrian Chase, Arrow fans were forced to endure a two-week period of sweet agony waiting for the next episode to get here. And although we now have only six days to go until “Checkmate” arrives, some images from the following installment, “Kapiushon,” have made their way online.
Aside from Prometheus continuing his unrelenting torture of Oliver Queen, we’re offered confirmation by way of these photos that Dolph Lundgren will indeed be reprising his role as Konstantin Kovar in episode 5.17. Not only that, but it looks like Oliver will be confronting him in his proto-Arrow suit in the flashback scenes.
Speaking of said costume, one can’t help but notice that it’s very similar to the one he donned in the first season, so he owes much thanks to Talia al Ghul for providing such stylish threads.

Yesterday the synopsis for Arrow's seventeenth episode for this season was released.
“The Breaking Point — Prometheus (Josh Segarra) goes to great lengths to break Oliver (Stephen Amell). Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Anatoly (guest star David Nykl) becomes worried about Oliver’s increasingly violent tendencies, which come to a head in a brutal confrontation. Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode written by Brian Ford Sullivan & Emilio Ortega Aldrich (#517). Original airdate 3/22/2017.”
The title of the episode Kapiushon loosely translates from Russian to "Hood or Cowl". With this synopsis and title it seems that this is when we will see Oliver in the flashbacks fully transform himself into the Hood. If you remember back in Season 1 Oliver's character was referred to as "The Hood". It wasn't until Season 2 that his character went by "The Arrow".

The midseason finale of Arrow ended on not just one, but a series of cliffhangers. One of them was the arrest of Diggle as his time on the run came to an abrupt end, but it appears as if he’s made his peace with being behind bars…for now. As you can see in the clip above, Oliver’s best friend has a plan to clear his name and bring down the corrupt soldiers who framed him.
He’ll no doubt ultimately end up succeeding, but for now, his imprisonment means he can’t lend Team Arrow a hand and that’s going to be a big problem. After all, Artemis recently betrayed her friends to join up with Prometheus, while the returning Laurel Lance isn’t actually the Black Canary who died during season 4.

The CW has released the first images from next week’s episode of Arrow, and in them we finally get to meet the villainous Konstantin Kovar. Played by action movie legend Dolph Lundgren, he’s the reason Oliver Queen has travelled to Russia and joined the Bratva in this year’s flashbacks (which are set to be the last, but are also the best we’ve seen in some time).
Things don’t look too good for Oliver in the gallery above, but it’s going to be just as bad in the present as he and the rest of Team Arrow end up squaring off with mysterious baddie, Prometheus. Although only five episodes of the current season of Arrow have aired so far, I feel as if the series has reattained levels of excitement and intrigue that may prove to rival those of season 2, which is often hailed to be the best.
One of the elements contributing to the show’s current success and revitalization is that of the mysterious new villain in Star City, Prometheus. If you ask me, the TV version of him seems like Green Arrow’s equivalent of Zoom. Think about it: His costume reveals no identifying traits whatsoever, his voice is distorted, he accumulates body counts that not too many villains are able to boast, and he was a background player before coming to the forefront in the sixth episode.

The CW has released the first promo for next week’s episode of Arrow, and in it, we get a much better idea of what the villainous Prometheus is up to. However, despite sharing a name with a Justice League villain, this version of the character is something new, so we still don’t know who he is or what his end goal is beyond destroying the Green Arrow.
It’s been said that he’s someone from the vigilante’s past though, and speculation is running rampant that he could be a resurrected Tommy Merlyn. After all, he died furious with his best friend because he was secretly a killer, so it might make sense that he’s now taking out people from the vigilante’s past in order to somehow spite him.

Just last night, I was reflecting on how Arrow spawned such a rich universe – now a multiverse – from its humble beginnings as an unrelated followup to Smallville. With timelines being rewritten and characters appearing in live action that we previously never thought possible (Wild Dog, anyone?), we truly are living in a golden age of fandom.
As can be expected, synopses released by the network allow us to gaze into the not too distant future of our favorite superhero shows. Please note that The Flash wasn’t included due to the fact that November 8 is Election Day in the United States, therefore the Scarlet Speedster won’t have a new episode to offer that week.

The CW has released the first promo for next week’s episode of Arrow, and in it we get a first look at what’s to come when Oliver Queen decides to try and break Diggle out of a military prison. As we saw in tonight’s instalment, the hero has been wrongly placed behind bars after being set up for an illegal arms deal orchestrated by his superiors, and the net is now closing in.
Interestingly, the Green Arrow finds some opposition to his plan from his own team, and in the video above, we see them attempt to take their mentor down. The chances of them being successful seem slim in all honesty, but seeing as Oliver’s relationship with them is already pretty tumultuous, this could very well be the straw which breaks the camel’s back.

The month of May is nearly upon us, and that means it’s time to gear up for the final episodes of our favorite TV shows. Thanks to The CW, we have two official descriptions that allow us to peer into the future of some of the hottest superhero series around: The Flash and Arrow.
On May 17, the penultimate episode of The Flash’s second season, titled “Invincible,” will hit airwaves and it sounds like it will have no shortage of excitement. Expect to see Katie Cassidy play the much talked about Earth-2 doppelganger of Black Canary, who has adopted the moniker of “Black Siren.” It sounds like she will be more villainous than expected, so those of us who have theorized that she will one day crossover to Arrow to join their team may have to toss that bit of speculation out the window.

Aside from Vixen, another surprising reveal in the gallery above is the fact that the mother of William (Oliver Queen’s secret son who was abducted by Damien Darhk at the end of last week’s episode of Arrow) is about to learn that Ollie is also the Green Arrow. The first official images have been released from this week’s episode of Arrow, and they put the spotlight mostly on fan-favourite character Diggle and the complicated relationship he has with his brother. Based on what we see here, that’s about to get even worse, especially now that he’s under the “care” of Amanda Waller and A.R.G.U.S. rather than Team Arrow.
For further details, here’s the official synopsis for the episode – which is titled A.W.O.L. – courtesy of The CW:

David Ramsey’s Diggle has always been one of the best parts of Arrow, and the character has really come into his own in recent years. Both a father and costumed hero (at last!), he has a lot to deal with working with the Green Arrow, but this year has seen the fan-favourite tough guy pushed to the brink after he learned that his brother was still alive and part of Damien Darhk’s H.I.V.E. organization.
So far, Andy has seemingly remained loyal to his villainous boss, but it appears as if a major shake up is coming in the January 27th episode – titled “A.W.O.L.” – of the hit CW series:

Arrow Season 4, Episode 8 “Legends of Yesterday”
Written by Greg Berlanti & Marc Guggenheim (story), Brian Ford Sullivan & Marc Guggenheim (teleplay)
Directed by Thor Freudenthal
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm Et on The CW
The Flash‘s entry in the two-part Hawkman/Hawkgirl introduction feels very much like an episode of The Flash – “Legends of Yesterday”, Arrow‘s half of the Legends of Tomorrow set-up, also feels like an episode of The Flash, which in an odd way, makes this the best Arrow episode of the season. Unfortunately, it comes at the cost of the show’s personality, depicting the very things The Flash has mastered in its second season that Arrow seems to have forgotten since its own sophomore campaign, turning “Legends of Yesterday” from an exciting time travel-y crossover, into an hour raising more questions about where Arrow‘s been going lately than intrigue for where it’s headed.
