The X Factor finalists might have a tough life of early starts, vocal rest and brutal choreography, but it's not all bad - they're getting a taste of the life of the rich and famous.

Nick Grimshaw's Boys - Mason Noise, Che Chesterman and Seann Miley Moore - spent their day with a flash car, although Girls Kiera Weathers, Lauren Murray, Louisa Johnson and Monica Michael made do with some bikes.

Former X Factor finalist Bupsi was sad to see Alien Uncovered go, describing them as "the new Spice Girls but even fiercer".
The 37-year-old from Leeds - who was the first act to exit the live shows followed by Alien Uncovered - told Digital Spy: "Kiera [Weathers] is a sweet girl we did have that bond.
"[But] Alien Uncovered were fierce, they were like the new Spice girls but even fiercer."
Alien Uncovered and Kiera Weathers found themselves in the bottom two on the ITV show last night, with the girl group being sent home by the judges after a sing-off.
On Monica Michael returning as mentor Rita Ora's Wildcard, Bupsi opined: "You know her story now and I think she's fighter. I can kind of relate to Monica because she's a strong girl and she's got a story.
"She put her heart on the line so I think she deserved another shot.

Last night's first X Factor live show was jam-packed with performances, from the sublime to the (faintly) ridiculous. But while there is some serious talent on show this year, not everyone can be a winner - and someone's about to go home.

The X Factor finally kicked off its live shows this weekend, and gosh, it looks like we've got a seriously strong field of acts this year. In fact, ranking them seems faintly unfair as even those lower down the league put in some fantastic performances, but we sucked it up and did it anyway:
13. Max Stone
You could have the best voice in the world, Max, and yours is very nice. But you still did a cod reggae cover of 'Someone Like You'.
12. Bupsi
Not quite 'You're A Wonderful One' this week. More of 'You're An Okay-But-We-Preferred-Pony One'.
11. Kiera Weathers
Kiera sang 'Crying For No Reason'... let's hope the voting public won't actually give her a reason to cry.
10. Reggie N Bollie
Reggie N Bollie covered 'It Wasn't Me' but if we were them we'd be taking All the credit for this super fun performance.

The X Factor hopeful Kiera Weathers took on Katy B's 'Crying For No Reason' tonight - but was left upset when her performance split the judges.
While Cheryl Fernandez-Versini praised the "fantastic" song choice and urged her to believe that she belongs on the stage, Simon Cowell admitted that he wasn't impressed.
"I'm going to need you to do something better than that," he said. "You can't compete with some of the bigger vocalists in this competition, I don't think. I don't think you've got the character."
Urging her to figure out who she is as an artist - and comparing her to Fleur East - he added: "You're going to get slaughtered by some of these singers tonight. So for you to stay around you've got to completely rethink who you are in the competition."
Nick Grimshaw agreed, saying Kiera looked beautiful but adding: "That song I don't think was perfect for you.

The X Factor kicks off its live shows this weekend, but do you know what it's missing? 2 Shoes. Ever since the Essex duo burst onto our screens back in 2011 they've held a special place in our hearts, so we decided that the best thing to do would be to get their verdict on this year's acts (minus late addition and wildcard Monica Michael).
Alright, so the pair (also known as Lucy Texeira and Charley Bird) squealed "love them!" about literally every single hopeful on the show - they're basically Brucie going "you're my favourite". But they also had plenty to say about who could be first out, who could win, who could be a third Shoe and much more:
4th Impact
Charley: "Oh, they're so cute."
Lucy: "Are they all sisters? See, I think that's great. And their harmonies are really tight. And you can tell because they are sisters,...

She's back! Monica Michael was snapped in rehearsals for The X Factor yesterday after becoming the show's Wildcard this series.
Michael - who was originally sent home after Judges' Houses - was seen performing her rendition of Ed Sheeran's 'Make It Rain'. Oh, and she had time for a hug with mentor Rita Ora, too.
Rita was really dishing out the hugs, as she was also spotted embracing Louisa Johnson - who'll take on 'God Only Knows' as part of this weekend's 'This Is Me' theme.
Elsewhere, she could be seen giving Kiera Weathers a pep talk ahead of her performance of Katy B's 'Crying For No Reason'.
But there was also time for a giggle and some dance practice with Lauren Murray, whose dream of performing a Whitney track on the show will become reality this weekend when she tackles the legend's version of 'I'm Every Woman'.

Rita Ora wouldn't have competed on The X Factor as a contestant - because it would be too much work.

The X Factor only picked its Top 12 last night, but the lucky singers got to move into their fancy new home today.
Led by Louisa Johnson, the hopefuls got their first look at the £2.6m North London house they'll be hanging out in for the next few weeks.
Obviously, the first order of business was to get the kettle on and make a cup of tea.
But Louisa and her fellow Girls Lauren Murray and Kiera Weathers instantly checked out their bedroom - and picked out bunks - while Reggie N Bollie looked thrilled with their new digs.
Some acts seemed to be taking it all a little more seriously though, as Max Stone hunkered down with a guitar - perhaps preparing for the first live show on Saturday (October 31).
But it seems that the hopefuls will be living in serious style, as their crib reportedly features an underground car...

Rita Ora has revealed she was "shocked" that Simon Cowell didn't take Jennifer Phillips through as one his X Factor finalists.
The 24-year-old popstar - who picked Louisa Johnson, Lauren Murray and Kiera Weathers as her final three for the Girls category - told Digital Spy: "It was a shock for me that Simon let go Jennifer. I loved her. That was a big surprise.

Jennifer performed her own rendition of One Direction's 'Drag Me Down' at Judges' Houses. Cowell later admitted that he was going to pick the 49-year-old singer as his final act, but changed his mind later on and went for Max Stone instead.

X Factor: Louisa Johnson, Lauren Murray and Kiera Weathers are Rita Ora's final Girls
The X Factor has finally picked its Top 12! After months of auditions and Boot Camp and the Six Chair Challenge, the Girls were the final category to perform at Judges' Houses for their judge Rita Ora (and mentor Meghan Trainor).
And boy, did they perform. So if you want to relive all the action from tonight's show, check out the auditions below:
1. Chloe Paige
Chloe did get a little respect from Rita... but sadly not enough to put her in the live shows.
2. Havva Rebke
Possibly not the best move to sing about going home. We still love you though, Havva.
3. Kiera Weathers
'Show Me Love', Kiera asked... and sure enough, Rita did.
4. Lauren Murray
We're not saying the Best part of Lauren's performance was her dancing to herself in the studio.

That's right: Nick Grimshaw still needs to choose his Top 6 Boys, and we'll also see the Girls performing for Rita Ora and Meghan Trainor in an attempt to make it through to the live shows. It's going to get intense, people.
Of course, anything could happen - who knows if Simon will suddenly introduce a wildcard twist (*cough* Jennifer *cough*)? So join us from 7.30pm when the show kicks off and we'll bring you all the action...
20:56For now, though, we'll say good night - do keep leaving your comments and stick with DS for all the X Factor coverage you need. And Obviously...

It had to be done, didn't it? The X Factor Top 6 Girls flew to Los Angeles to perform for Rita Ora and special guest mentor Meghan Trainor... but they still had some time for a selfie at the Hollywood sign. Let's just hope their minds were firmly on a place in the live shows:
1. Chloe Paige - 21, Brighton
Who? Market trader Chloe performed 'Crying For No Reason' in her first audition, but it was later on in the competition that she really began to come into her own - with her a capalla take on 'Amazing Grace' cementing her place in the Top 6.
She says: "For me, it's so much more than just the voice. It's all I do, it's all I work on. I was in a relationship that I gave up for this, so I know where I want to be."
2. Havva Rebke - 21, Enfield

Menn on Point give it their best shot to impress Groups mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, as The X Factor's Six Chair Challenge continues.
In a preview video for the next episode, the energetic duo take to the stage and cover Omi's hit 'Cheerleader'. But will they be given that all-important chair?
The X Factor 2015: Is the Six Chair Challenge too cruel or pure entertainment? For and against
"You're ready to go," Nick Grimshaw said afterwards, with Rita Ora next to him in full agreement. "You're exciting, you're fresh - you're exactly what I'd want to be seeing on a Saturday night on X Factor."
The X Factor continues this Sunday (October 11) on ITV.
Last weekend, viewers saw Chloe Paige, Havva Rebke, Kiera Weathers, Louisa Johnson, Lauren Murray and Monica Michael make it through from Rita's Girls category to reach the Judges' House stage.

X Factor's Lauren Murray - who secured a seat in the Six Chair Challenge on last night's show - has defended Nick Grimshaw and insists he will come into his own now he's been assigned the Boys' category.
The 25-year-old Dental receptionist from North London - currently in Rita Ora's impressive Girls' category - opined to Digital Spy: "I feel like everyone's giving Nick [Grimshaw] a really hard time.
"And I feel like Nick is such an influential person in music - he knows what people listen to, he works in radio so he knows what people are going to buy. So I don't know why people are giving him such a hard time.
"But when it comes to the Live Shows - people will see a different side to him. People need to give him a bit more of a chance. I love him, he's wicked.

Lauren Murray secured a seat in the Girls Category during the "brutal" Six Chair Challenge in last night's nerve-wracking X Factor.
The 25-year-old hopeful from North West London performed on stage last, concerning judge Simon Cowell when she admitted to feeling a bit fuzzy, before mentor Rita Ora eventually swapped her with a distraught Lucy Duffield.
Speaking to Digital Spy about the "killer" experience, she revealed: "It was just so brutal. It was literally The Hunger Games.
"I never in my life want to see six white chairs again. Ever. It was just killer. It's so, so intense. I thought at one point I was going to be sick. I really did. I knew because I had a bit of a dip at Boot Camp, I knew if I didn't bring it at Six Chairs I'd be going home."

Simon Cowell has apologised for swearing on last night's (October 4) episode of The X Factor after learning he would be mentoring the Overs.
Cowell previously shared his disappointment at getting the category with a tweet earlier this year, and has taken to the social network again tonight to apologise for his reaction.
Sorry for swearing on the show tonight. It's not big and it's not clever. Wish Karen Mav had kept a seat.

The X Factor's first Six Chair Challenge is over and Rita Ora has whittled a very talented 14 girls down to six.
Chloe Paige, Havva Rebke, Kiera Weathers, Lauren Murray, Louisa Johnson and Monica Michael are all heading to judges' houses - but what did Twitter think of Ora's decisions?
Firstly, there were a lot of people who thought the Six Chair Challenge was a bit mean:
I think the six chair challenge is a bit mean #XFactor
— Richard Osman (@richardosman) October 4, 2015
I wouldn't give her a chair if she was pregnant And elderly. #xfactor

There were some who are willing to adopt the Six Chair Challenge into their daily lives:

Rita Ora had the very tough job of whittling 14 girls down to just six and it got tense.
Karen Mav was the first performer to be given a seat after her stunning performance of Etta James's 'I'd Rather Go Blind'.
However, it wasn't long before all six chairs had been filled and there was someone in need of a perch.
Kiera Weathers, sang a note-perfect 'I Will Always Love You', complete with an emotional fall to the floor which had the audience and the judges on their feet.
When Rita announced that Karen would be giving up her seat, things got very awkward.
She was extremely upset, prompting Rita to take a trip up to the stage to give her a huge hug.
She said: "I worked so hard" through tears and left the stage to a chorus of "bring her back" from the audience.

Rita Ora might want to be careful what she wishes for. The X Factor newbie was thrilled to get the girls... only to find out that cutting down such a talented category was really rather difficult.
If you've recovered from the trauma of it all, you can relive all the performances right here, ranked - as always - from worst to best:
14. Kelly Mai Webb
She sounds better than we do when we're stumbling drunk out of a tent and going for a walk. But still not good enough for The X Factor.
13. Chloe Baker
"You've got the love I need to see me through"... but sadly not to the next round.
12. Katie Coleman
'The Voice Within' couldn't quite take her to Judges' Houses.
11. Sharon Rose
Sharon Rose and fell... but we thought her performance of 'Let It Go' was lovely.
10. Karen Mav
At least she got a consolation...

The X Factor knows how to test its contestants, doesn't it? But after an emotionally exhausting Six Chair Challenge, Rita Ora has narrowed down her Girls category and picked the acts who will make it to Judges' Houses. But who are they?
1. Chloe Paige
Age: 21

Remind me: Chloe won over the judges with her rendition of 'Crying For No Reason' at her audition (but some viewers were less than impressed to see her wearing a bindi). She was on the up from then, as Simon Cowell picked her out for special praise during the Boot Camp group challenge and even praised her husky voice during the solo performance when she was suffering from a sore throat. After two weeks of a dramatic Country House boot camp, it's a goodbye to nice patio heaters and a hello to Wembley Arena - as the contestants take on the famously, completely and utterly brutal Six Chair Challenge. First up, it's the girls, and with such an exceptionally strong category we expect Rita will need to make some tough decisions.
Join us from 7pm as we bring you all the action live as it happens. In the meantime, why not read about the strop Simon threw after finding out his category was the Overs?
We're excited to see the judges being assigned their categories this evening, but we doubt it can possibly beat 2009, when Dannii Minogue revealed she had the girls category and Rachel Adedeji fell over.
20:59And that's it! We're all done with the girls and Six Chair Challenge for tonight. As always, thank you for joining us.

Well, it turns out that getting out of the arenas was the best thing The X Factor could have done.
There's been some grumbling about the changes (or lack of changes) to the show this year, but one thing Simon Cowell has done has definitely worked: bringing back the Country House stage of Boot Camp.
Imagine how dreary it would have been to go straight from weeks of arena auditions straight into the Six Chair Challenge? Instead, we were suddenly in the sunny countryside with a beautiful outdoor stage (which also gave us the chance to see Simon with a blanket over his knees).
And Boot Camp felt like Boot Camp again, with choreography and the tricksy group challenge. It wasn't just all about the performances: it was about finding a group and rehearsing and learning dances and lyrics and trying to get on and then facing the judges.
In fact,...

The X Factor kicked off Boot Camp with the dreaded group challenge tonight, and it's fair to say that some groups were better than others. Much, much better. If you want a recap, you're in luck: here are all the videos you need from tonight, ranked from worst to best:
10.
Who? Kiera Weathers, Castellio, Kelly-Mai Webb, Lochei, Decibellas
Who got through? Everyone except Castellio
Group vibe: What happens when two people who are just at a gig for their girlfriends are dragged on stage and have to try to perform with the professionals.
9.
Who? Ryan Ruckledge, Katie Coleman, Samantha Atkinson, Silver Tone, Alex Wallhead
Who got through? Everyone except Ryan Ruckledge
Group vibe: Four people just trying to get on with their lives while someone drunkenly slut drops around them, basically.
8.
Who? Monica Michael, Papasidero, Batz In Da Belfry, Sophie Plumb, Princess Diamond
Who got through? Monica Michael, Papasidero, Sophie Plumb
Group vibe: ... Hostile.

The X Factor auditions are finally over and tonight we're through to Boot Camp, the source of some of X Factor's all-time best moments (Zayn Malik throwing a strop and refusing to dance, anyone?) It certainly looks as though we're in for our fair share of drama tonight.
Grab a cup of tea (or a bottle of wine, a beer and a few double voddies if you feel like emulating some of the more dramatic contestants), read up on some backstage gossip and secrets from filming and join us live from 7pm as we bring you all the action as it happens.
20:59And so that's the episode over! There were ups, there were downs, there were tantrums, there were a Lot of missed lyrics. Judging from next week's preview it looks like we are set for even more drama - join us from Sunday, September 27 at 7pm and we'll be liveblogging it all!
