Stranger Things Season 5 is officially filming, and although it will likely be months before fans get any official first looks, one of the stars recently commented on one aspect of the show that should be changed. Appearing at Mega Con Orlando, Gaten Matarazzo, who plays the loveable Dustin in the Netflix hit, got candid when a fan asked him about any changes he’d make to the show. “It might sound messed up but we should kill more people,” the actor said, according to Cbr. “This show would be so much better if the stakes were much higher, like at any moment any of these kids can kick it. I feel like we’re all too safe.” And the star has a point. Despite killing off Barb (Shannon Purser) and Benny (Chris Sullivan) in Season 1, every other character that has died since has been among the newer additions. Whether it...

The supernatural series has a fantastic ensemble cast consisting of Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, David Harbour, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Maya Hawke and Jamie Campbell Bower.
With every new season, the series keeps getting complicated and scarier. So far, we have witnessed the deaths of several fan favourites. Some of the characters killed on the show are Joseph Quinn’s Eddie, Sean Astin’s Bob, Dacre Montgomery’s Billy and Shannon Purser’s Barbara. However, actor Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson, believes that the series should have more deaths.
During the Megacon at Orlando, fans asked actors Finn Wolfhard and Gaten several questions. As tweeted by Cbr, one of the fans asked Gaten what changes he would bring to the show.

Gaten Matarazzo is sharing ideas about what he would’ve changed about Stranger Things as the series ends after five seasons.
While appearing at a panel at Mega Con Orlando, Matarazzo was asked what changes he would make to the show.

“Stranger Things” will haunt viewers long after it has ended. Even the idea of it ending is tragically terrifying. Built on a sinister kidnapping of a young Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) in Season 1 and most recently filled out in terms of The Upside Down mythology in Season 4, complete with a slimy squelchy villain named Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), the Netflix series has no shortage of jump scares, creepy concepts and more.
Whether you’re a fan of graphic gory scenes or more psychologically thrilling moments, “Stranger Things” has four seasons’ worth of fright. Season 4 has been said to be the most scary, and the Duffer Brothers even listed “Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Hellraiser” as inspirations for the most recent season in contrast to the slightly more innocent “E.T.,” “Goonies” etc. for the earlier seasons, in which the kids were still actually kids.

Hollywood — the world where stars are born or made has also been called out for having so many vices and for encouraging stereotypes. And the Netflix hit show Stranger Things is no different. The show has faced heavy criticism in the past for its lack of diversity and now for typecasting. In fact, Stranger Things star Shannon Purser called out the show and the industry at large, saying that “fat actors” are not allowed upward mobility.

“Riverdale” is taking a time warp back to 1955 to kick off its final season.
The CW’s outgoing drama dropped the official trailer for season 7 on Thursday, setting up the shenanigans that Archie (Kj Apa) and the crew will endure as they try to piece together what happened following last season’s finale. After facing off against Percival and narrowly missing a deadly comet, the gang was transported back to the ’50s, where they found themselves reliving high school… again.

Unfortunately for the crew, only Jughead (Cole Sprouse) is aware of all that transpired prior to their new 1955 reality.
As the two-minute trailer reveals, Jughead has the tall task of trying to convince his pals — who find themselves living very unexpected lives and paired up in the most shocking relationships — why they don’t actually belong in the ’50s.

I’m not gonna lie, being a TV fan is hard right now. Not only do we have to worry about the shows we love getting canceled before the story is complete, but now we also have to worry about shows being canceled at random stages of production, or worse getting erased from their streaming platforms entirely. HBO Max has been the worst at erasing its own shows from existence with around eighty total original titles taken off of the streamer last year as Warner Bros. Discovery plans to merge the service with Discovery+. But we can’t even call HBO Max’s great erasure a one-off moment, because now that Showtime and Paramount+ are merging into one streaming service, there are several Showtime originals that have been canceled with plans to erase them from the platform entirely.

Millie Bobby Brown isn't the only "Stranger Things" cast member who thinks the show should be more ruthless about killing off characters. In recent weeks, Maya Hawke — who of course, plays Robin Buckley on "Stranger Things" — has ventured out with a role in another Netflix title, "Do Revenge," the promotion of which saw her sitting down with her co-star Camila Mendes ("Riverdale") for a lie detector test via Vanity Fair. The questions veered straight into the Upside Down territory of spoilers, so if you aren't caught up with "Stranger Things" season 4 yet, look away now.
Mendes asked Hawke point-blank if she thought Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) should have died in season 4, to which Hawke responded, "I don't think he should have died, but I do think the show has too many characters." When asked if she thought anyone else should have died (to help whittle down the show's sprawling cast), Hawke said,...

Ever since “Stranger Things” creators Matt and Ross Duffer admitted to digitally altering special effects in past episodes, speculation has run rampant about other changes they may have made to the popular Netflix series without telling fans.
“We have George Lucas’d things also that people don’t know about,” Matt Duffer said in a recent interview, referring to the “Star Wars” creator’s tendency to tinker with his old films by adding up-to-date special effects (often to fans’ chagrin).
This led to an influx of theories about an early episode involving Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton), and a scene involving him taking photos of Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) while she undressed. A viral TikTok rumor suggested that the Duffer Brothers had removed this scene to make the character seem less creepy, and to potentially avoid bad PR in an increasingly sensitive online climate. Fresh off some jaw-dropping viewership numbers, “Stranger Things” Season 4 Vol. 1 scored its fourth consecutive Outstanding Drama Series Emmy nominations, but acting hopefuls Sadie Sink and Millie Bobby Brown ultimately didn’t make the cut.
The penultimate season of “Stranger Things” received 13 nods in total, shy of the previous record of 18 total nominations in Season 1 and devoid of any acting nominations at all.
Other nominations for Season 4 Vol. 1 include Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup, Outstanding Casting and Outstanding Music Supervision.
Netflix released Season 4 Vol. 1 on May 27, just before the May 31 deadline for 2022 Emmy consideration, so only the first seven episodes were eligible for nominations.

All is not well in Hawkins, Ind.—and it's about to get a whole lot worse. Volume two of Stranger Things season four is set to premiere on July 1, and we have a feeling that fans should brace themselves for a heartbreaking conclusion. Not only is the series unafraid to kill off beloved characters—shout out to Barb (Shannon Purser), Bob (Sean Astin), Alexei (Alec Utgoff) and Billy (Dacre Montgomery)—but the June 21 trailer warned that Eleven's friends are in serious danger. "It is over," season four villain Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) tells the powerful teen (Millie Bobby Brown). "Now I just want you to watch. Your friends have lost." Co-creator Ross...

Shannon Purser is speaking out about the difficulties fuller-figured actors face. The actress, who played Barb in season one of Stranger Things, addressed the need for on-screen representation June 19. "they're not hiring fat actors for iconic fat characters because they want a big name star," Shannon tweeted. "there are almost no fat big name stars because fat actors aren't allowed upward mobility." The 24-year-old continued, "we aren't allowed upward mobility because the industry sees us as two-dimensional set pieces." Shannon previously discussed this problem after starring as the lead in the 2018 Netflix movie Sierra Burgess Is a Loser. It was the...

If watching season four of "Stranger Things," you start thinking that a new member of the cast seems very familiar, don't be surprised. Dmitri, a new character this season, is played by Tom Wlaschiha, who also had a pretty essential role in "Game of Thrones." In the HBO hit show, Wlaschiha plays Jaqen H'ghar, the Faceless Man who first helps Arya (Maisie Williams) in season two.
In "Stranger Things," Wlaschiha's Dmitri is a guard at the Russian prison that Hopper (David Harbour) ends up in at the end of season three. Their relationship is one of the highlights of the Russian plot that Hopper and Joyce (Winona Ryder) find themselves wrapped up in. However, Wlaschiha isn't actually Russian; he was born in Germany. Most of his acting credits have been for German-language productions, but he recently appeared in "Jack Ryan" on Prime Video.

Season 1 of the Duffer brothers’ “Stranger Things” captured the attention of many when it premiered back in 2016. Drawing on the quintessential 80s films of directors like Steven Spielberg, the story takes place in Hawkins, Indiana and centers around a group of four friends, Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo) and Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin). The boys band together over similar interests like science, physics and Dungeons & Dragons, a fantasy board game that can take hours to play.

This Riverdale review contains spoilers.
Riverdale Season 6 Episode 4
“I know, it read it in the comics”
For its 100th episode, Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa scripted what is easily the show’s most audacious episode. “The Jughead Paradox” had the unenviable task of wrapping up the entire “Rivervale” saga and setting the stage for the rest of the series’ sixth season — which will air when the show returns in the spring. That alone would be enough of a challenge for any writer to tackle, yet Aguirre-Sacasa ups the creative ante by having the installment also become a meta funhouse mirror reflection of itself by reinserting long-gone characters into the narrative and having characters reflect on nearly every ridiculous thing that has ever happened during the series. Oh yeah, there is also the plotline about parallel universes colliding into each other and threatening to wipe out the whole of existence unless Jughead can save the day.

When “Stranger Things” returns to Netflix next year, a creepy new location will factor heavily in the fresh run of episodes.
On Saturday during Netflix’s own fan event, Tudum, the streaming service debuted a new teaser for “Stranger Things 4” and revealed a locale called “the Creel house.” According to the show creators, the Duffer brothers, the home is a “super important” part of the new season and seemingly ties directly to a new character, Victor Creel, played by Robert Englund of “Nightmare on Elm Street” fame. When Englund’s casting was announced last year, it was revealed Victor is a “disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s.” Judging by the teaser, it looks like the victims of that gruesome murder was Victor’s own family.

If you're a sucker for a period piece, HBO Max's four-part docuseries Equal should definitely be your next binge. Narrated by Emmy-winning actor Billy Porter, the now-streaming series tells the story of lesser-known activists who paved the way for LGBTQ+ rights in the United States. Sound a little sleepy? Riverdale Season 4 Episode 19
“It’s the principle of it.”
Riverdale‘s most ambitious season to date comes to a close in an episode that, while not intended to be a finale (more on that below), presents a more than satisfying cliffhanger. It’s been a rough go for these kids, from dealing with the passing of Fred Andrews to struggles with Dodger at the community center to the Stonewall Prep/Jugdead saga. In the background through of all these events were two problems that were growing like a cancer for our gang: The town’s video voyeur and Mr. Honey.
This episode supposes that both of these concerns are inherently linked, if not outrightly the same, in a tone-shifting carnival of chaos skillfully directed by Mädchen Amick (in her debut behind the camera for the series).

Riverdale Season 4 Episode 18
“Whatever this is, or was, it’s just over.”
Barchie stans, this just isn’t your week. For as essential as the Archie/Betty/Veronica love triangle is to the comics, it appears that this storyline just doesn’t have a home on Riverdale.
And you know what? I am completely fine with that. The teasing of pairing up Archie and Betty happened organically as they both helped Jughead to prove that the Stonewall Preppies were plotting his death. Cliché though it may be, the adage that we closer to people in times of severe duress is a true one. And what could be more stressful for any pair than living in a town overrun by gangs and maple moonshiners? (Among other ills).
This episode’s flashbacks show us how Betty has loved Archie since the fifth grade. Cheryl – in a rare...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read until you’ve seen season 3 of “Stranger Things,” which premiered July 4 on Netflix.
When “Stranger Things” introduces a new character, it’s almost immediately obvious which archetype they’re supposed to represent. As a deliberate throwback to 1980’s blockbusters that prioritized thrills and jokes over characterization, most everyone can be described in just a couple basic words. There are heroes and bad guys, cool jerks and funny nerds. Three seasons in, the core cast has evolved more past their initial descriptors, but any addition is usually ripped straight from central casting.
So when Robin (Maya Hawke) entered the picture in the premiere of season 3, a familiar pattern seemed to emerge. Positioned against prom king Steve “The Hair” Harrington (Joe Keery), Robin is initially a deadpan smartass completely immune to her new co-worker’s charms — at least, until she isn’t. As the two become closer...

The mid-season finale of Riverdale is upon us, and whoa, is it insane.
This Riverdale review contains spoilers.
Riverdale Season 3 Episode 8
"May God have mercy on our souls."
"Not God, Governor, the King."
And so we arrive at Riverdale's mid-season finale, and I for one am still catching my breath. And holding my sides from laughing at how absolutely silly this series has gotten -- in the best possible way. I am genuinely not sure of exactly how I am feeling about this game-changing installment at this point, but let's work through it together, shall we? What I can say with some definitive clarity is that this was one hugely entertaining episode that gave viewers some big answers while setting up the second half of the season.
Let's start things off with Jughead and Archie. Arriving at Gladys Jones' garage/chop shop/orphange/whatever, the pals get another harsh...

Netflix breakout Noah Centineo will star in “Valet” from “Fauda” director Assaf Bernstein, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.
“Valet” will follow a young valet driver (Centineo) who gets involved in a government mission to take down an international arms dealer.
“American Sniper” writer Jason Hall is writing the script. Mark Burg, Daniel Herther, Brad Kaplan and Brent Baum are producing.

“Valet” is also the first film for Ryan Kavanaugh’s new venture Promixa Media, a production company he launched after the bankruptcy of Relativity, for which he served as the head. Proxima is looking for a studio distributor for “Valet.”
Centineo’s role in Netflix’s “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” has allowed him more name recognition. In it he played the lovable Peter Kavinsky.

Josie sings, evil grows, and Archie makes some new pals in a weirdly uneven installment of Riverdale.
This Riverdale review contains spoliers.
Riverdale Season 3 Episode 3
First things first: Tonight's episode of Riverdale might have been the most disjointed installment of the show to date.
Balancing an unreasonable amount of plot points like they were plates of food being delivered to patrons at Pop's is usually a feat that this series is able to handle with skill. But then again, things have never been as weird on the show as they are all right now -- what with both a cult and a suicide-inducing RPG taking over the town and all.
So it's a bit jarring to go from the high stakes of characters drinking cyanide to a storyline about a nightclub opening..
It's not that we aren't jazzed about the arrival of La Bonne Nuit -- okay, we kinda aren't...
