One of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, is stepping back into the ring for one last rumble this weekend before he retires for good. It all goes down as part of an event appropriately dubbed Ric Flair’s Last Match, and it will feature a tag team match with Flair and his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo going up against Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal.
Though it’s his final match, Flair has been relatively quiet in recent years. In fact, this weekend’s...

Welcome to this weeks review of Impact Wrestling which, after last weeks trip to Wrestlehouse, is back to the normal format… Thankfully (sorry Impact I’m not a fan). With a Before the Impact match that saw Jake Something defeat the Bullet Club’s Hikuleo, lets get into the main show!
Match #1: Chris Sabin def. Matthew Rehwoldt The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Matthew Rehwoldt looks to understand the art of Chris Sabin by going one-on-one with him right here, right now! Deonna Purrazzo joins Matt Striker and D’Lo Brown on commentary as she reveals that she’s going back to her roots as a Fujiwara specialist in order to reclaim the Knockouts World Championship. Sabin hits a top rope crossbody in the early going. Rehwoldt sends Sabin flying from the apron to the floor to swing the momentum in his favor. Rehwoldt hits a pendulum elbow drop for two.

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and former Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling/Impact Wrestling and World Championship Wrestling star Daffney Unger, whose real name was Shannon Spruill, died after what many have assumed was suicide. Shannon had apparently pointed a gun at her chest while on Instagram Live in what were her last words to the general public before killing herself. Shannon wanted her brain sent to Boston for it to be examined after her death for Cte. Shannon desired for other wrestlers and all others to be careful of the damage that can be done to your brain from physical trauma. According to her family, Shannon had been dealing with mental illness for some time. Shannon’s career as a wrestler took her from WCW to Tna/Impact, where it is purported that (a tweet from David Bixenspan on...

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have me, trapped on this alien planet with a bunch of duplicates of me and some intergalactic warlord whose name I can’t remember. Ain’t life grand? Mysterious Nathan: Silence! The Conqueror takes the balcony! Me: Good. Maybe he’ll say his name again. Other Nathans: Jimmy! Me: No damn it! It’s not Jimmy! Other Nathans: Jerry! Me: Dumbasses. Whatever His Name Is The Conqueror: I am… Me: Oh s–t! He got shot by a laser blast! Mn: Huh. Never thought to do that. On: Billy! No! Razoul The Talkifier: Our lord is dead! Where… Me: Oh f–k! They got him too! Who… Mn: It’s… Bunjo, The Big F–kin’ Head: I am Bunjo! Kissa my ass! Mn: He’s the most-feared Italian giant-headed alien in the universe!

Welcome to this review of Impact Wrestling’s Homecoming pay per view, which features a tournament to crown Impact’s King & Queen (of the Ring??) and a highly-anticipated X Division match… which, to be fair, we know Josh Alexander Isn’T going to lose? Why the hell would you take the belt off such an enigmatic and Over wrestler?
Match #1: Homecoming Tournament 1st Round Match – Deonna Purrazzo & Matthew Rehwoldt def. Hernandez & Alisha The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
The Drama King, Matthew Rehwoldt makes his shocking Impact debut and will be the partner of Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo! Hernandez tags into the match and Purrazzo goes toe-to-toe with the big man! Purrazzo almost takes him off his feet with a bicycle kick! Alisha sends Purrazzo to the outside, allowing Hernandez to hit Rehwoldt with a delayed vertical suplex. The pace quickens as Hernandez connects with running senton on Rehwoldt.

Welcome to this week’s column of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Mr. Rogers here with us. Mr. Rogers: Hello my television neighbor. I wanted to talk to you about violence. When people watch violence, that doesn’t make them violent. Violence is wanting to be violent and then choosing to be violent. When you watch wrestling, you are watching it because you want to watch wrestling. Watching wrestling doesn’t always have a meaning besides wanting to watch wrestling. Wrestling can be fun, but we should always remember that wrestling can hurt the people that do it, because it is violent. When wrestlers get hurt, that’s not your fault. However, you should always try to empathize with them when they are in pain. Mr. Robinson: Hello boys and girls! I’m in pain listening to this old-ass...

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the fallout from Violent By Design becoming the Tag Champions last week. It’s times like this that I’m reminded of the story of Stukanga Gaitoo. Stukanga Gaitoo was a farmer’s hand in ancient Mesopotamia, when the wind was dry and hot and cracked you across the back like a frayed whip. Stukanga loved the farmer’s daughter, but could not afford to marry her. So, when the moon rose upon the cusp of night, Stukanga returned to the farm and stole the wheat from the fields. Stukanga then sold the wheat to the rich merchant Makolinga. Makolinga bought it for half of what it was worth and made Stukanga very wealthy. Stukanga returned and lied about who had stole the wheat…and said that Makolinga had stolen the wheat.

Match #1: Rey Fénix def. Lee Johnson
My Opinion: 3.1 out of 5 – This was all about Rey’s fantastic performance, one that was mean and meaty, but had a nice crisp bite to it with a bit of heat…very nice. Really, Rey was the whole reason to see this. Lee did well as Rey’s punching bag, but that’s what Lee was there for. Keep an eye on Rey, because he just might be in...

I’m Nathan Favel and we have James “Buster” Douglas knocking Mike Tyson’s block off for I Want My Maypo!!!!!!! Yeah, that’s right. Okay, let’s get right into this second card from this women’s tag tournament which will not have that any tap dancing at all.
Match #1: Big Swole & Lil’ Swole (Nicole Savoy) def. Rache Chanel & Leva Bates (with Peter Avalon)
My Opinion: 2.6 out of 5 – Dos Lobos Del Swole beat the wygonagos out of the Jugged Job Squad of Chanel and Bates. There’s some excellent fire rushing out of Swole-a-Mania’s mouth as they burned their less talented opponents to death. The right people won a decent match that didn’t have a lot to offer, but it was still...
