Servant executive producer M. Night Shyamalan once said that his dream version of the Apple TV+ series would consist of sixty episodes, but he later whittled that number down, telling Uproxx that “I outlined the whole series over the pandemic and figured out where I wanted it to go and how many episodes it would be. And it came out to 40.” Each season of Servant consists of ten episodes, so it will be reaching Shyamalan’s goal of 40 at the end of season 4… and Apple TV+ has now confirmed that Servant season 4 is the “final chapter” of the show, which will bring viewers “an epic and emotional conclusion of the Turner story.” Along with that confirmation comes the unveiling of a teaser trailer, which you can see in the embed above, and some first look images, which can be found at the bottom of this article.

One of the most chilling shows on TV has a return date.
Apple TV+ today unveiled a first-look teaser at the third season of the acclaimed Servant.
The 10-episode third season will debut with the first episode on Friday, January 21, 2022, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday.
From executive producer M. Night Shyamalan, Servant follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home.
The new episodes pick up three months after Servant Season 2, with Leanne struggling to come to terms with the fact that no one has come looking for her.
She believes they will come looking eventually, while the Turners want to raise Jericho and move on with their lives.
Unfortunately, the past always comes back to haunt the characters on this show, so it's going to be a complicated chain of events.

Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg is getting the deepfake treatment from U.K. broadcaster Channel 4 to commemorate Earth Day (April 22).
On Thursday, Channel 4 is releasing a TikTok parody, which appears to star Thunberg. Performed by impressionist Katia Kvinge and written by Stu Richards and Alasdair Beckett-King, the deepfake Thunberg dances to an original song titled “Man Like Greta” in the TikTok video.
“Whilst humorous in approach, this captivating content aims to deliver an urgent and important message about the impact of climate change in the lead up to Earth Day, as well as looking to increase our audiences’ awareness of deepfake technology and how it can be used,” said a statement from Channel 4.
The video will be followed by a “How To Tutorial,” which will demonstrate to TikTok’ers how to get involved and take on the dance.

Despite having the Oscar-winning Reversal of Fortune made from his book of the same name, it seems Alan Dershowitz this week had to have the difference between fact and fiction painstakingly explained to him by one of ViacomCBS’ top lawyers over Jeffrey Epstein.
“If we understand your letter correctly, you are complaining about a line spoken by a fictional character, in an episode of the fictional series The Good Fight,” wrote the company’s Jonathan Anschell to Dershowitz’s attorney Imran Ansari on July 28 (read it here).
The company’s response comes after a letter sent by Ansari to seemingly everyone associated with the production of The Good Fight — including creators Robert and Michelle King and producers Scott Free — alleged that the line in the Fred Murphy-directed and Laura Marks-penned season finale that aired May 28 was defamatory and could lead to further legal action.

As stay-at-home orders started to crash over the world at the end of March, Diamond Comics Distributors announced that it would be suspending shipping of new books. Diamond has been functioning essentially as a monopoly for years, so this move meant, for all intents and purposes, the end of new comics releases, and it’s been that way for a month. But now, DC Comics announced that new comics will be hitting shops on April 28th, and the way they’re doing it could be a long-term shift in how we get the comic books we love.
The new releases are a scaled back list of new titles, not the full list of books one would expect to come from DC on a regular basis. Shipping on the 28th are Laura Marks & Kelley Jones’ Hill House book, Daphne Byrne #4; the final issue of Si Spurrier and Bilquis Evely’s run...

In addition, Hill -- whose novels include NOS4A2 (now an AMC TV series) and The Fireman -- will also pen a backup story called “Sea Dogs,” about werewolves at sea, which will run in the back of every issue.

Josephine Decker's Madeline's Madeline is having its exclusive online premiere on Mubi in the United Kingdom. It is showing May 10 – June 8, 2019, and a retrospective of Decker's work is showing May 7 – June 27, 2019.With only three features under her belt, Josephine Decker has already established herself as one of the most exhilarating young American filmmakers to have emerged in the 21st century. An actress, writer, director, and multimedia artist, Decker rose to prominence as a performer in a series of films directed by micro-budget wunderkind Joe Swanberg, and although her own directorial work clearly bears signs of the mumblecore aesthetic—handheld Dslr camerawork, improvised dialogue, non-professional actors, frank sexuality, an emphasis on performers and their bodies, an infectious Diy attitude—it also rejects the movement’s slavish adherence to naturalism. Instead, Decker’s cinema occupies a strange position between narrative and experimental cinema, employing intricate strategies of pictorial, aural, and temporal...

Turns out the behind-the-scenes skirmish between CBS and Good Fight creators Robert and Michelle King over that censored animated short nearly Ko’d the show (or at least the show as it currently exists).
As TVLine reported on Sunday, CBS All Access — citing “concerns with some subject matter” — balked at airing an animated segment in Season 3’s eighth episode that took aim at, coincidentally, U.S. companies that censor its content to appease the lucrative Chinese market. A “CBS Has Censored This Content” placard was shown for nearly 10 seconds in place of the offending sequence, which was “the creative solution...
