Exclusive: The Unforgettable Gala, the annual ceremony that honors the biggest and most impactful Asian Pacific Islanders in entertainment, arts and culture, is getting a broadcast and streaming home for its 2023 edition, which has been set for December 16 at the Beverly Hilton.
Organizers confirmed Wednesday that ChimeTV has come aboard as the gala’s exclusive broadcast partner, a deal that will see the show air on cable and stream worldwide at a later date to be determined.
ChimeTV is available on cable via Charter Communications and its Spectrum TV Select Plan and streaming at ChimeTVPlus.com. ChimeTV chief creative officer Takashi Cheng is also founder of Asian American collective Society1.
Journalist Lisa Ling and filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton have also been set as co-chairs of this year’s Unfo, its 21st edition, and will lead the awards selection committee. This year’s event will be compliant with SAG-AFTRA strike policies...

Jennifer Cram’s feature directorial debut follows Wren Pepper, played by Dobrev, a woman who feels her lifelong friends are slipping away. Exclusive: Robert Morgan’s Talaria Media has launched development on Arigato Tokyo, a new drama set in the world of women’s professional wrestling, after acquiring a feature pitch by Daytime Emmy winner Mark Blutman. Jamie Anderson is on board to direct the pic, with Morgan to exec produce.

Gravitas Ventures has set a VOD/digital release for Sean McEwen’s debut feature Braking For Whales on April 24. The Narrator Entertainment and Charlie Baby Productions film stars Tammin Sursok (Pretty Little Liars), Tom Felton (Harry Potter franchise), Wendi McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs), David Koechner (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy), and Austin Swift (Live By Night).
