The two-hour finale of “The Amazing Race” airs tonight (June 26) on CBS. Four teams are fighting it out to be first to the final mat and claim the one million prize. They are, in order of their finish on leg 10: Colin Guinn and Christie Woods, Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, and Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo. The first three teams are “Tar” alums while Nicole and Victor came to fame on “Big Brother.” Spoilers ahead.
One of this foursome will be eliminated in leg 11, which took place in London. And one of the remaining three teams triumphed 24 hours later in Detroit. We know from the preview trailer that Nicole and Victor do not number among the final three. The irony is that Nicole is from Ubly, Michigan which is 100 miles north of the Motor City. Small consolation but Nicole and Victor did the best...

It’s been all-“Race” teams all the time on “The Amazing Race,” and you really hope that doesn’t continue in the two-hour finale. In a recent poll, 77 percent of our readers are rooting for Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo, the final non-“Race” team left, to prevent an all-“Race” final three.
Nic and Vic are up against the three remaining “Race” teams: Colin Guinn and Christie Woods, Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl, and Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran. In the preview after last week’s episode, Korey says he and Tyler would love to have an all-“Race” final three, and Nicole later says that the “Race” teams are working together without her and Victor. And really, you can’t blame the “Race” teams for working together and they probably wouldn’t be upset if an all-“Race” final three didn’t come to fruition.

Team Fun made an egg-xtremely bad moo-ve on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race.” After getting U-Turned by Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo, who were already U-Turned by Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce had to complete the second Detour, which tasked them with pole vaulting to collect a dozen eggs and two blocks of cheese and then delivering them via tandem bike to a market in Kampen, Netherlands. Team Fun made the pole vault Switchback look easy as hell, but they didn’t do the easiest thing of them all: check the eggs for cracks. One had a hairline fracture and so they had to do it all over again, pushing them to last place. But at least this time they finished Leg 10 instead of getting a mercy elimination like in Season 29 when Floyd came down with heatstroke.
So why didn’t they check the eggs?...

We’re almost there. After Colin Guinn and Christie Woods continued the streak of “Amazing Race” wins winning legs on Wednesday’s episode, we are one week and one elimination away from a final three of “Race” teams.
The only non-“Race” team left is Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo, who edged out Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, on Leg 10 after both were victims of the Double U-Turn. Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl, and the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, round out the final four.

Leg 10 of “The Amazing Race 31” is just gonna be a massive case of déjà vu.
The final five teams are off to the Netherlands, where they will encounter a Switchback to the infamous pole vault task of Seasons 12 and 21. Let’s hope it’s as difficult and hilarious as it was in Season 12 and not in 21. Judging by a sneak peek of birthday girl Nicole Franzel flopping into the muddy ditch, we’re halfway there.
Then there’s a tandem bike task that requires teams to transport eggs to town. We all know what happened the last time Floyd Pierce had to transport something on a bicycle: He got heatstroke, and he and Becca Droz got Philiminated. But eggs are easier to carry than 2,913 shrimp traps.

Well, it happened. We’ve finally found a physical activity that Colin Guinn and Christie Woods haven’t done yet: riding a tandem bike. That’s one of the tasks on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race.”
“Today was our first time to ever ride a tandem bike. It’s like you go to steer and the bike doesn’t turn,” Colin says in a sneak peek of Leg 10 (watch above). “It’s like driving a barge.”
Christie is shown to be struggling hopping onto the second seat, but we’re sure these two friggin’ comp beasts got the hang of it at a certain point. And it’s not like anyone else is having an easier time. The Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, nearly fall over, while Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl eventually figure out a hack. “The rhythm that we finally got into was pedaling and Tyler not pedaling,...

We can definitively say Team Fun did not cut in line on ‘The Amazing Race,’ and this ruling is final
Airport drama returned on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race” thanks to a major flight delay and accusations of cutting. Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, appeared to have cut in front of Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo to get tickets from Zurich to Split, Croatia. The sneak peek didn’t offer any definitive evidence since it started with Team Fun already at their ticket agent, but now that the episode has aired, we can conclusively declare that Team Fun did not, in fact, cut in line.
I know. This is such a serious issue we needed to investigate, but stay with me here. The entire sequence, as shown in the episode, is as follows: Team Fun, Vicole, and Colin Guinn and Christie Woods head to one counter. As Colin and Christie are getting their tickets, Team Fun and Vicole walk over to another counter where the Afghanimals,...

After back-to-back weeks of U-Turn drama on “The Amazing Race,” Leg 9 is here to give us airport drama!
The remaining six teams are off to Split, Croatia, on Wednesday’s episode, but first, they have to buy tickets. And in a throwback to the early seasons of the show, this doesn’t come easily. And then there’s the fact that Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, may or may not have cut in front of Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo in line. The sneak peek doesn’t show the alleged cutting, but Vicole can’t get the early flight they want. Don’t worry, though, because the early flight, carrying multiple teams, actually gets delayed. This is the drama we are here for.

Could it be? Is airport drama finally back on “The Amazing Race”? Why, yes! Not gonna lie, I had to rewatch the sneak peek above twice just to make sure my eyes aren’t deceiving me. But Wednesday’s episode will have some flight predicaments before Leg 9 even starts for Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo.
Once a hallmark of the early seasons of “Race,” when teams had to scurry, haggle and fight tooth and nail to nab the best flight to their next destination, airport drama has all but vanished in recent seasons (or at the very least hasn’t been shown), thanks to the show making sure teams are on the flights they need to be on.
Not totally the case this week. The remaining six teams are off to Split, Croatia, but there are only so many flights from Switzerland and so many open ticket counters. In the sneak peek,...

“The Amazing Race” introduced the U-Turn Vote on Wednesday’s episode, giving us not one but two U-Turned teams after Colin Guinn and Christie Woods, and Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater received the most votes. Ultimately, only Colin and Christie survived, coming in third, while the Reillys got eliminated. The U-Turn Vote certainly provided its share of drama, but like a lot of twists, it’s not perfect.
The U-Turn Vote is not new to the “Race” franchise, having been on multiple international versions, but the U.S. tweaked the twist by having the teams vote verbally based on a random draw. Rachel and Elissa went first, voting for Colin and Christie. Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo hemmed and hawed before he chose the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, much to Nicole’s chagrin, who wanted him to do the Reillys but was totally wishy-washy about it. The U-Turn Vote is one thing nobody wants to win on “The Amazing Race,” but one unlucky team will on Wednesday’s episode. And if our readers had their druthers, that team would be Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, who dominated our poll with 74 percent of the vote.
This was expected since the Reillys are arguably the most divisive team left. And after the U-Turn drama with Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo last week — when they ostensibly tried to warn Nic and Vic that Team Fun wanted to U-Turn them only to have that backfire because Nic and Vic realized they just wanted them to target Team Fun — the Reillys haven’t completely endeared themselves to everyone.
The vote was such a blowout that no other team hit double digits. Next highest with 8 percent are the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran. They’re another “not everyone’s cup of tea” team,...

The “Big Brother” blowup between Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, and Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo on “The Amazing Race” is confusing as hell, but it’s very clear which sides fans are on. About 68 percent of our readers are Team Vicole.
The argument in last week’s episode stemmed from the Reilly sisters ostensibly trying to warn Nic and Vic that Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, are planning to U-Turn them. But their ulterior motive was try to get Nic and Vic to target Team Fun and do the Reillys’ dirty work for them since their U-Turn on Leg 2 failed to get Team Fun out. Vicole knew something was up when the Reillys kept backtracking and were evasive with details about the conversation – which involved the Afghanimals and also identified Colin Guinn and Christie Woods as U-Turn targets.

Still perplexed about that “Big Brother” beef on “The Amazing Race” after our super accurate dissemination of it? Don’t worry, now the parties involved have weighed in to clear the air.
In the latest episode of their podcast Coco Caliente, Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo give an in-depth account of their side of the drama with Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, which ostensibly erupted in Wednesday’s episode after the Reilly sisters told the couple that Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, wanted to U-Turn them, but kept backtracking and changing details so much that Nic and Vic wanted to ask Team Fun about it. “Well, I think people are confused,” Nicole says early in the episode. Understatement of the year.

The newest twist on “The Amazing Race” — the U-Turn Vote — will make its debut next week in the most democratic of locations, Switzerland. And this is one situation in which winning is actually losing. So which of the remaining seven teams do you want to “win” the vote?
As we previously explained, the U-Turn Vote is not new to the franchise itself; its long been a staple of the Israeli, Chinese, Australian and Filipino versions. The Israeli version introduced it on its second season in 2011. The U.S. version might tweak it, but it basically works as you’d expect: At the start of the leg, the teams each vote for who should be U-Turned. The team that receives the most votes will be U-Turned and has to complete both Detours.

So we were partially right. The “Big Brother” feud between Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, and Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo on Wednesday’s “The Amazing Race” involved a U-Turn, but not the U-Turn Vote (that’s next week — that Swiss flag don’t lie!). Instead, their argument was about… well, we don’t blame you if you have no idea. So let’s try to break this down.
It all started when the Reilly sisters ostensibly let bygones be bygones with Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, whom they had U-Turned on Leg 2, over beers with the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, before their flight to Zurich. Team Fun and the Afghanimals agreed that the top U-Turn targets going forward are Colin Guinn and Christie Woods, and Nicole and Victor, given their high finishes so far. It will be a clean sweep on “The Amazing Race” by “The Amazing Race,” according to our readers. All six legs on Season 31 have been won by former “Race” teams, and 47 percent of fans now believe racers will claim the rest of the legs.
So far, the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, have won the first two legs; Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, took Legs 3 and 5; Colin Guinn and Christie Woods prevailed on Leg 4, and Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl won Leg 6. You just can’t buy “Race” experience, ya know? They are also the only “Race” teams left, outnumbering the “Big Brother” and “Survivor” duos four to two to one. So we could definitely have an all-“Race” final three.
See Janelle and Britney (‘Amazing Race’ exit interview) on that Rolex blunder: ‘You just felt helpless’
But 43 percent of readers think a “Big Brother” team can snap that streak.

For the fifth and sixth times this season on “The Amazing Race,” a “Race” team has won both legs. Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, scored their second first-place finish on Leg 5 after also taking Leg 3, while Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl came in first on Leg 6. Those follow Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran‘s twin wins on the first two legs, and Colin Guinn and Christie Woods‘ triumph on Leg 4. Yup, a non-“Race” team still hasn’t won a leg and we’re halfway through the season now. Can this “Race” domination continue or will someone break through?
Of course, it makes total sense that the “Race” alums have been doing well, especially in the early goings. This ain’t their first rodeo. But it is kind of hilarious and also perfect that they’ve still had a stranglehold on first place, as if to say, “This is my house!

Double the episodes mean double the tasks — plus one — this week on “The Amazing Race.” Wednesday’s back-to-back episodes will feature a Head-to-Head Battle in the second hour that could just be the one that the new promo is teasing will “drive everyone crazy.”
Based on the logline — “Teams must drum up enough strength for an intense head-to-head battle before checking into the mat” — we know the Head-to-Head on the sixth leg likely involves drums, and the promo (watch above) shows Floyd Pierce stacking a bunch of drums. It then cuts to a shot of Colin Guinn and his drum stack, jokingly laughing to the heavens in that “I can’t believe this, c’mon already” kind of way. (His drums are not broken.)

Four weeks into “The Amazing Race 31,” the only teams to have won legs are, well, “Race” alums. The Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, won the first two, followed by Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, who dominated Leg 3, and Season 5 runners-up Colin Guinn and Christie Woods recovered from a Detour flub to take Leg 4 on Wednesday. It’s no surprise that the “Race” veterans are ruling the course right now, but which non-“Race” team — there’s one “Survivor” duo left, while all three “Big Brother” ones are still around — will be the one to end this streak?
The obvious answer is Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo. This will chart high on the Fun-o-Meter. In a recent poll, 28 percent of our readers believe that Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, have been the most impressive team on “The Amazing Race 31” so far, which is already a quarter-way done.
Now it could just be recency bias here since Team Fun came out on top last week, crushing both performance-based tasks, dancing and karaoke-ing, which seemed made for them. Their average placement would probably be higher if they hadn’t been U-Turned on the second leg, making them hit the mat in ninth place, following their fifth-place finish in Leg 1. But to go from last to first is nothing to sneeze at.

“The Amazing Race” is taking a detour into the water this week. Because that’s what the Detour options are.
New press photos for Leg 4, which again takes place in Ho Chi Minh City, reveal the Detour choices for the remaining nine teams — and who picked what. The options are to row a traditional Vietnamese basket boat to pick up items (the next clue?) or to build a water wheel. And just like the past two weeks, one of these was definitely the more popular choice.
Seven teams opted for the boat: Janelle Pierzina and Britney Haynes; Chris Hammons and Bret Labelle; Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl; Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins; Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce; Colin Guinn and Christie Woods; and Nicole Franzel and Victory Arroyo.

Slow and steady wins the race, or at least the Roadblock on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race.”
Leg 4, a second leg in Ho Chi Minh City, features a scooter Roadblock in which racers have to complete a test course. The course, naturally, isn’t just a racetrack or anything, but small circles and figure eights with arrows specifying which direction to go in. Sounds simple enough, but of course it’s not.
A sneak peek shows two racers tackling the course, Jamal Zadran and Elissa Slater. “It looks really hard, but luckily I have major balance,” Elissa says. Famous last words. She immediately goes out of bounds. Jamal doesn’t have any easier a time doing it, spinning off axis and putting his foot down, automatically disqualifying that attempt. We know he has at least four unsuccessful attempts and Elissa, five.

We’re three legs into “The Amazing Race 31,” which has already dismissed a “Race” team and a “Survivor” team, and has given us the first non-elimination leg of the season. A quarter of the season is now over, so who has been the best racers so far?
At first blush, it might feel like the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, since they won the first two legs. But then they ran a terrible third leg in Vietnam and barely scraped by in eighth place. They’ve also managed to fool everyone with their fake fights and wrong directions, so either everybody this season is gullible as hell or the Afghanimals deserve an Emmy.
The Afghanimals’ three-peat was thwarted by Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce. Team Fun ran a stellar leg in Vietnam, granted they were helped tremendously by the performing tasks that were right up their alley. Still, after...

Both U-Turned teams — Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, and Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl — survived the Double U-Turn last week on “The Amazing Race,” but one “Survivor” team did not, Rupert and Laura Boneham. Now the remaining nine teams are off to Vietnam for Leg 3 on Wednesday’s episode.
The leg appears to be a night leg, which is always fun. And this one relies on two Ps: performance and, uh, prawns. The Roadblock is a karaoke task, where Eliza Orlins does her best to troll Victor Arroyo, possibly because her public enemy No. 1, the Afghanimals, are nowhere in sight. The Detour options are to perform a synchronized dance or to fish for prawns. They both sound pretty easy, but the dance judge is not messing around here, and the fishing seems to be a waiting game.

“The Amazing Race” is turning into Dancing with the Reality Stars. Wednesday’s episode takes the remaining nine teams to Vietnam, where one of the Detours involves performing a choreographed routine in light-up costumes. And their judge is the strictest judge this side of Len Goodman.
“We love music, dance challenges,” Floyd Pierce says in the sneak peek above with a level of confidence that tells you it won’t go easily. That’s because the stern judge’s favorite word is “no,” which he repeatedly bellows to the teams who think they’ve aced it.

We know what the Detour options are on the second leg of “The Amazing Race 31,” and now we know who did what — and when-ish.
The choices are to learn the Laotian alphabet or to cook a dish. As previously revealed, Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins opted for the alphabet, while Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater cooked. Corinne and Eliza also revealed that their fellow Survivors Chris Hammons and Bret Labelle cooked, quipping that Laotian sounds like Bret’s native Boston accent.
Well, cook was definitely the popular choice. Thanks to new photos released by CBS, we can see that eight of the 10 teams did cook. Now, yes, this leg has a Double U-Turn, but CBS, of course, isn’t dumb enough to release photos of the same team(s) doing both tasks if the U-Turns were used.
The other six teams that cooked are Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran; Colin Guinn...

The season-long promo after the Season 31 premiere of “The Amazing Race” on Wednesday teased a new twist: the U-Turn Vote. But this is actually not a new twist at all — in terms of the “Amazing Race” franchise.
The U-Turn Vote has been used on four international versions of the show: Israeli, which first introduced it in its second season in 2011, Chinese, Australian and Filipino. How it works is exactly like it sounds: At the start of the leg, the remaining teams each vote for who should be U-Turned. The team that receives the most votes will be U-Turned and has to complete both Detours that leg. Simple enough.
See ‘The Amazing Race 31’ season premiere recap: Reality all-stars collide, but who’s the first to go?
It’s unclear if the American version will adapt this format completely or add its own little spin on it. Something tells us it might be the latter.

“The Amazing Race 31” cast includes five returning teams and one returning racer, and it’s no mystery as to who you’re cheering for: 33 percent of our readers are pulling for Art Velez and Jj Carrell to grab that $1 million.
The border patrol agents were runners-up on Season 20, an installment dominated by Rachel and Dave, who set the record for most leg wins in a season at eight. Art and Jj had a chance to upset the formidable duo when Davechel accidentally skipped the Roadblock, but Art struggled so much at the Roadblock that Davechel were able to return, complete the task and cruise to the finish line. It probably would’ve been easier to swallow had Davechel beat them outright. Art and Jj never finished lower than fourth, which will definitely be hard to duplicate this season.

The returning teams on “The Amazing Race 31” all have unfinished business, as none of them have won the $1 million prize before. Five of the 11 “Race,” “Survivor” or “Big Brother” teams this season are former racers, with another “Race” alum part of a “Big Brother” duo. But which returning racers do you want to cross the finish line first?
Art Velez and John James “Jj” Carrell
Art and Jj finished second on “The Amazing Race 20.” The border patrol agents had the misfortune of competing on the same season as “Race” GOATs Rachel and Dave, who set the record for most leg wins in a season at eight. Art and Jj blew their shot to win it all when Rachel and Dave accidentally skipped the final Roadblock, but Art struggled in the Roadblock, and they watched helplessly as Rachel and Dave returned, crushed the Roadblock and left them in the dust. Season 31 of The Amazing Race will leave the starting line more than a month earlier than scheduled. CBS said today that the new iteration will premiere at 9 Pm Wednesday, April 17; it had been set for May 22. With that move, the network has banished LeBron James’ Million Dollar Mile from its Wednesday timeslot to Saturdays after just two episodes. CBS will air a repeat of NCIS in Million Dollar Mile’s timeslot next week.
Million Dollar Mile will air the remaining eight episodes of its 10-episode season on Saturdays beginning May 4, at 8 Pm with Ransom moving back an hour to 9 Pm.
The move comes after Million Dollar Mile premiered to soft ratings. It opened with a 1.0/4 rating and 4.1 million viewers in its debut episode, declining to 0.8/4 and 3.4 million viewers in week 2.
The network also released a sneak peek at the upcoming season, which comes with a twist: It will match teams...

“The Amazing Race” has a new start date. Season 31 will bow Wednesday, April 17 at 9/8c, a month earlier than its originally announced May 22 date, CBS announced Friday.
Leading out of “Survivor,” “The Amazing Race” is replacing the low-rated “Million Dollar Mile,” which is now moving to Saturdays at 8/7c, effective May 4.
As “Race” die-hards already know, Season 31, which filmed last summer, is a “reality showdown,” featuring alums from “Race,” “Survivor” and “Big Brother” competing for the $1 million prize. And yes, there are some legends of each game (Colin! Rupert! Janelle! Rachel!). (See the cast list below and check out the gallery above.) The season will cover more than 25,000 miles around the world.

“The Amazing Race” is finally returning to the CBS line-up with the 31st season set to premiere on May 22, 2019. This edition of the race was run way back in June. The 11 teams are veterans of previous seasons of “Tar” as well as two other CBS reality competition series: “Big Brother” and “Survivor.” As always, host Phil Keoghan was at the startling line in Hermosa Beach, California on June 10 to send these 22 contestants in a race around the world. The winners crossed the finish line in Detroit on July 3.

It is looking more and more likely that “The Amazing Race” won’t return to the CBS line-up until the spring of 2019. “Tar” wasn’t on the fall schedule and the Tiffany network has done well with all of its new hour-long shows. With none of those looking like candidates for early cancellation, there is no time slot open for “The Amazing Race” until they finish their first seasons. This means the likeliest air date for season 31 of this Emmy-winning reality competition series is in the spring of 2019.

The wait for the return of “The Amazing Race” to the CBS line-up just got a little longer. Happy Wednesday fellow Big Brother fans. We were able to find some additional news for the upcoming Amazing Race season 31 Big Brother edition that we previously reported on. First of all, a few weeks back, TMZ was reporting that it was an all-Big Brother Amazing Race season. The the folks over at Realityblurred.com said that was not the case, and that it would include former Amazing Race contestants as well. Well, it turns out they were both wrong. However, Realityblurred was more correct than TMZ because the new season 31 will also include former "Survivor" reality show contestants to go along with the former Big Brother and Amazing Race people ! We've also learned who the official teams are. The folks over at goldderby.com are reporting that Amazing Race season 31 officially started filming this past Sunday, June 11, 2018 with a total of 11 teams. Only three of them turned out to be Big Brother teams.
