After his famed role as Don Draper on AMC’s critically acclaimed drama series Mad Men, Jon Hamm has experienced a particularly peculiar career transition in recent years. Also known for his work in Sucker Punch & Top Gun: Maverick, the actor, 53, has acted in both highly regarded film and TV roles during his career.
But did you know, nestled within his portfolio of work, there lies a film that has almost slipped through the cracks of cinematic memory?
John Hamm in Stolen | 2 Bridges Productions
In 2009, he took on the role in Stolen, a frequently overlooked chapter of Hamm’s life that true cinephiles may recall. Though the actor’s renowned charm and depth could elevate any role, this murder mystery remarkably stood as an endeavor that slipped past audiences and critics alike.

With a trailer already online (check it out right here), the team behind Despicable Me 4 are going the satirical comedy route for their Super Bowl spot. Have a look…
Yes, it's something we should have suspected all along: the Minions are running AI. Which does make sense given its feeling of having come from a supervillain's lair and its willingness to pump out abject nonsense.
Narrated by John Hamm, it takes playful jabs at Gru performer Steve Carell and Will Ferrell, who voices his enemy this time around. And, of course, explains some of the weirder examples of AI "art".
Despicable Me 4 will see Gru adapting to family life with his adopted daughters, wife Lucy (Kristen Wiig) and new son Gru Jr., a rare state of calm thrown into chaos when Maxime Le Mal (Ferrell) breaks out of prison intent on targeting him and the brood.

As much as people complain about Hollywood putting out the same things year after year, the fact remains that name recognition gets people into theater seats. Moreover, remakes and reboots give filmmakers an opportunity to retell beloved stories from a different perspectives. In this age of high-budgets and higher-expectations, reboots and remakes are among the only types of movies that major studios like to make these days.
So whether you’re feeling cynical about this year’s offerings or optimistic about the second swings filmmakers are taking, here are the biggest reboots and remakes coming in 2024.
Mean Girls (January 12)
Although the promotional materials tried to do their best to conceal it, the 2024 Mean Girls doesn’t so much adapt the beloved 2004 comedy, but rather the Broadway musical that followed. Which means that, yes, viewers will hear more songs than “Jingle Bell Rock.” Singer Reneé Rapp reprises her stage performance as lead Plastic Regina George,...

The fifth season of Fargo will premiere on FX next week, but series creator Noah Hawley isn’t ready to bring the saga to an end. While speaking with Deadline at the premiere of the new season, Hawley was asked if more seasons of Fargo are in store. “I haven’t run out of ways to tell these stories,” Hawley said. “Why wouldn’t I keep going?“
Fargo executive producer Steve Stark agreed, even giving several options for new timelines for the series to explore. “We’ve covered every decade except the ’60s and the ’90s. So maybe the ’60s and ’90s.” Hawley added that “the ’80s” are also a possibility, joking that they’ll “do our Stranger Things crossover.“
However, Hawley told THR that FX hasn’t yet approached him about another season of Fargo, but it’s all up to him to come up with something new. “No,...

2023’s big sports biopic is here, and it’s a great time to put on your sports cap and spend some energy feeling motivated by the film. Now, we all know it’s not going to last, so have fun while it does. Nyad tells the inspiring story of long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad (as you may have guessed) on her big adventure of swimming the 110-mile course from Cuba to Key West, Florida. The film is mostly lighthearted and focuses on the teamwork that is required to achieve such a feat. As is common in the biopic world, the sports film stars an ensemble lead cast, with Annette Bening playing the role of relentless swimmer, Diana Nyad while Jodie Foster gets into the skin of her life-long best friend and coach, Bonnie Stoll. It’s rare to see a film that is solely focused on the activities of a woman...

Nine days after several of Hollywood’s top-earning actors unsuccessfully attempted to convince SAG-AFTRA leaders to consider a proposed compromise that didn’t address the issues behind the ongoing actors’ strike against the studios, a much larger group calling itself Members In Solidarity — whose ranks include some equally heavy hitting stars — is urging the exact opposite.
Thursday night in an open letter — whose more than 3,600 signatories includes Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Hamm, Marisa Tomei, Sarah Paulson, Bryan Cranston, Sandra Oh and many more — the actors said bluntly that they “would rather stay on strike than take a bad deal.” It’s a statement similar to the one released in June during the original round of negotiations preceding the strike.
The letter was made public hours after the conclusion of Thursday’s round of negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. It was the second day of talks that resumed on Tuesday,...

I think Billy Crudup outshining everyone else has become quite the norm for Apple TV’s The Morning Show by now. Despite starring big names like Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, and now John Hamm, Crudup has always been the best thing about The Morning Show, and the latest episode is another profound example of that. I am not sure if the show is still considered by the likes of the Emmys’, but this should probably be the episode that Crudup submits for himself. With how last week’s episode ended, a lot happening in this one was a given. But the show played it rather subtly here, instead of opting for the usual all-hell-breaking loose approach. That’s kind of a surprise, given I kind of complained about its lack of subtlety just last week. Anyway, let’s get into it.

Apple TV’s The Morning Show, despite boasting a cast full of popular names from Jennifer Aniston to Reese Witherspoon to Steve Carell and now John Hamm, is never really considered to be a great show. The show does have a dedicated fan base, and it has received some love from The Emmys over the course of its first two seasons, mainly thanks to its star Billy Crudup picking up an “an outstanding supporting actor” trophy for his fantastic turn as Cory Ellison. But when people talk about the best TV shows, they do not consider The Morning Show at par with Succession, Better Call Saul, or House of The Dragon. That might just change after Season 3 Episode 2, which I would say is the greatest episode of the entire show and one of the best hours of television of the year 2023.

First things first, Bradley, Cory, and Marks are all fine.

The strange thing about Apple TV’s The Morning Show is that, despite having a great cast and the status of prestige television, the show often relies on cheap parlor tricks to enthrall the audience. And the strange thing is, somehow, it always works out. For example, the latest episode, which also happens to be the return of the fan-favorite show, literally sends one of our lead characters to space, only to abruptly cut her off from the live feed and close the curtains. The show is still as fun as it used to be, even though you do get the feeling that a lot has changed. In the case of Tms (please allow me to use the abbreviation from now on), the change seems to be a sign of evolution.

Our favorite screaming match is back for another round. We are talking about The Morning Show, arguably Apple TV’s biggest show in terms of both prestige and boasting big names. The Jennifer Aniston-Reese Witherspoon starrer was pretty much a runway success from the start, thanks to all the high-pitched character drama between its two lead stars and everyone else as well.
Almost two years after the second season aired, The Morning Show is back for its third season. This time, it is sort of the need of the hour for the people who have a thing for the “people just talking loudly and that’s all we need” genre. HBO’s Succession has ended, and we’ll have to wait for God knows how long for FX’s The Bear, but thankfully, Apple TV is here to rescue us with this pressure cooker of a show. Before going into...

The wellspring of creativity resides within the human mind. Amid the monotony of daily routines in a static world, people find solace in creativity and imagination. Within the confines of a mundane office setting, we all yearn for a room of our own, where the regular cacophony fades, and we can function attentively to bring out the best of our work. In this place, the hidden brilliance of an individual that gets lost in the crowd could thrive once again.
Drawing inspiration from Jonas Karlsson’s novel The Room, Joachim Back’s inaugural feature, Corner Office, explores a similar notion. It envisions a haven where reality’s limits disappear, letting people express themselves and their creativity. Unfortunately, only a few can create such a haven. Like the film’s main character, Orson (played by John Hamm), a typical office worker who excels only in his personal inner chamber at work...

As someone who thoroughly enjoyed the first season of Good Omens without having any knowledge about the book it is based on by Neil Gaiman-Terry Pratchett or religious history, I thoroughly enjoyed this show about a bickering angel and demon. If you haven’t seen or heard about this show before, I blame Prime for not showing enough interest in marketing this hilarious masterclass in religious satire.
Season one was fantastic from start to finish, and we got introduced to Crowley and Aziraphale, the demon and angel that find that they’re a perfect match on Earth. Without spoilers, there’s a particular problem that these two take upon themselves to solve, and by the end of season 1, they do so. So, the second season begins on a completely new note. This time around, we learn more about the relationship between this not-so-evil demon and this not-so-good angel...
