Spoiler Alert!Spoilers ahead for those that have not read One Piece chapter 1078 and beyond!
Ever since One Piece started the second part of the story (after the time skip), the filler episodes and arcs have been reduced quite a lot. The last filler arc that One Piece fans received was the Marine Rookie Arc during the Whole Cake Island saga in 2017. Since then, there have been a few filler episodes, but they contain canonical events.
One Piece | Toei Animation
Earlier, these filler episodes and arcs were used by Toei Animation to maintain a mandatory gap between the narrative of the anime and manga. However, since the Wano arc, One Piece creators decided that instead of using fillers, they would adapt one chapter (or sometimes even less than one) for the anime to maintain the gap.
Although this may help the story stay canon, it stretches the narrative unnecessarily. Also,...

Before the time skip in One Piece, all the admirals from the Navy were hated by One Piece fans except for Aokiji Kuzan. He was the only admiral who did not have a crude sense of justice like Kizaru or Akainu. However, One Piece fans were shocked to find out that Aokiji changed sides after the two-year time skip in the story.
Aokiji – One Piece
It was revealed that Aokiji was recommended for the position of Fleet Admiral after Sengoku retired. However, he had to fight Akainu for the position. Their battle was one of the biggest fights going on for 10 days, but in the end, Akainu came out to be the winner. This led to Aokiji leaving the Navy and joining hands with Blackbeard.
However, because of Aokiji’s kind-hearted nature, fans believe that Aokiji has some ulterior motive to join the Blackbeard Pirates, and a One Piece theory...

During the Paris Fan Festival, Taz Skylar, the actor cast to portray Sanji in Netflix’s One Piece Live-Action series, opened up about the initial wave of negative comments he faced on social media following the casting announcement.
During the festival’s Q/A session, Taz recounted his very first exposure to criticism and it was around the time when the One Piece casting news came out. He revealed that his friends informed him that his name was trending on Twitter alongside references to his resemblance to rapper Eminem.
“The best way to get me to do something is tell me I can’t do it,” Skylar stated, revealing that rather than being deterred by the negative feedback, he found motivation in the challenge. “I remember I laughed because I was like, you know what, they have a point. I do kind of look a little bit like Em,” he added.

The animation of One Piece has significantly grown since the time skip. Earlier, the series was mostly known for its characters and storyline, but for the past few years, the series has worked extensively on its animation, which has resulted in the anime series producing some great moments for One Piece fans.
Zoro vs. King
The prime example of this is the Zoro vs. King fight during the Wano arc. The fight was animated by Katsumi Ishizuka, one of the biggest animators in the anime industry. Ishizuka has worked on a bunch of anime series, but he is most known for animating major One Piece fights like Zoro vs. King, Law vs. Blackbeard, Luffy vs. Crocodile, Luffy vs. Lucci (first), and many more.
However, the animator has hinted at another upcoming major fight in the One Piece anime. The fight is between Monkey D. Garp and Aokiji Kuzan, the tenth...

One of the biggest adversaries from the pre-time skip era of One Piece, Rob Lucci recently made a comeback to the series in the Egghead Island arc. Although he had grown tremendously strong and was eagerly waiting for his chance to finally beat Luffy, the Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates emerged to be much stronger than him and defeated him much more easily than before.
Rob Lucci
But Eiichiro Oda did not want to waste the potential of such a great character so early in the story, which is why he pitted him against the second-strongest member of the Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro. While Zoro initially had a little bit of difficulty in dealing with Lucci, the recent chapter revealed that Zoro used a new attack and ultimately defeated the antagonist.

The One Piece world has seen a lot of commotion in the recent chapters. The series has gone through some major revelations and changes that might affect the story later on. Currently, the final saga has begun and although only the first arc is been discussed right now, it has unlocked some major mysteries that Eiichiro Oda foreshadowed.
One Piece – Egghead Arc
However, the recent chapters have also introduced some new twists that although exciting, have confused fans. One of those twists involves Blackbeard kidnapping characters like Pudding and Koby. Another individual that he tried to capture was the captain of Kuja Pirates and the Empress of Amazon Lily, Boa Hancock.
It was initially believed that Blackbeard might be trying to steal the Devil Fruit of Boa Hancock to un-petrify his crewmates, but a recent theory states that Blackbeard might have a bigger motive for stealing Hancock’s powers. According to the theory,...

One Piece has often raised questions in fans’ minds about certain scenarios. Even though there are several fan theories to justify those answers, most of them remain unanswered. One question that has often lurked among the fans is why Luffy’s grandfather, Vice-Admiral Monkey D. Garp, never launched a full-scale attack against the Red Hair Pirates.
No one ever rightly found out the correct answer to that question since Eiichiro Oda never mentioned it. But one of the latest One Piece fan theories delved deep into the matter and found an answer to why Garp never attacked Shanks even though he poisoned Monkey D. Luffy’s mind and influenced him to become a pirate as he grew older.

Over the journey of 27 years, One Piece, along with being one of the greatest manga and anime series of all time, has been the victim of controversies. One of the reasons other fanbases bash One Piece is due to its character design, which has always been below par except for some characters.
Dr. Vegapunk
One character whose reveal in the anime managed to disappoint fans was Dr. Vegapunk, the most intelligent man in the One Piece verse. The fans of the series took their opinions to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their dissatisfaction over his debut and even take shots at Eiichiro Oda.

"One Piece" needs no introduction. This is one of the biggest anime of all time, and a franchise that helped change the anime medium and manga forever. As a long-running story, "One Piece" features one of the biggest and most fleshed-out worlds in all of fiction, up there with J.R.R. Tolkien's Legendarium. Granted, the number of episodes is daunting, but the longevity and reputation of "One Piece" work to its advantage, as you see the world slowly change throughout the story, and the characters grow and develop over the years.
Like most big anime franchises, "One Piece" is more than just an anime or a manga, but a big franchise with almost as many movies as "Pokémon." With 17 movies to date, some movies are better than others at capturing what makes "One Piece" so special and endearing. If you care only about the best of the best, here are...

One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda rarely tackles mysteries with any sort of traditional urgency. We don’t tend to find storylines that hinge on questions like “Who are they?” and “What is this?” Heck, the biggest mystery of the story (What is the One Piece?) is a complete non-factor for the main character. Instead, Oda tends to lay breadcrumbs prior to any big reveal, distributing information across a broadening mythology. Some characters know things and other characters don’t. In One Piece ’s case, it’s rarely a “mystery” as much as it’s “a thing Luffy doesn’t know yet.” This is true for the identity of Vegapunk, the inventor/doctor/scientist that was first mentioned in the anime back during the Post-Enies Lobby Arc, the arc that also first mentioned the four Emperors, so it was doing a lot of heavy lifting regarding the introduction of lingering narrative threads.

A second season hasn't been confirmed yet, but the show left a huge impression on fans and critics, especially with its post-credits scene.
It's also unknown what exactly will get covered in a second season, but it will no doubt lead to the Arabasta Arc.

Germany’s Beta Group is backing a trio of new awards, each with a substantial cash bursary, to entice feature film directors to try out the world of serial television.
Beta will sponsor two awards, each with a 52,600 (50,000 euro) bursary, to back selected TV pitches from established feature directors. They are also getting behind a new emerging talent award, which comes with a 21,000 (20,000 euro) bursary, paid for by the Kirch Foundation, a nonprofit group set up by the late German media mogul Leo Kirch to support projects in film, television and the visual arts.
The three awards will be presented as part of the SeriesMakers program, an initiative launched by Beta and television festival Series Mania. The objective of SeriesMakers is to support talent in the transition to television series production by matching up directors and scriptwriters with showrunners, producers and other behind-the-camera veterans.
